- Over 230,000 small-scale farmers in Zambia are discovering the benefits of sustainable agriculture with a tree called Gliricidia sepium. Soils are feeding crops from nutrients supplied by this tree and not from chemical fertilizers. A growing relationship between Gliricidia, farmers and soils are offering important solutions to climate change, forest protection, and healthier food products.

But you can't feed them to cattle or other livestock because it may lead to problems in fertility.
