      @elllortv9983 yep, it's always better to have a lawyer on retainer that is a reputable criminal defense attorney, that way you invested in insurance so that your fees are paid up until trial, then that gives you time to save for trial and beat the case, wave time and keep working, keep pushing it down the road and finally run it to trial and win. Money well spent. Don't fall for uscca as they say if you do anything they deem as breaking the law defending yourself the waive the right to represent you due to "criminal acts" when you haven't even been found guilty of anything yet😂, these people are a scam organization and many attorneys have come out shaming them for their contracts and misleading of clients.

    Apparently the laws say it is illegal to insure an illegal act. So if you are convicted you are in trouble. I'm a USCCA member and am looking to change.
    Other programs that are "funds" and not insurance might be better because if you are wrongfully found guilty, you don't want to have to pay everything back.

    • @USCCAOfficial
      @USCCAOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes, it is illegal in the US for any policy to provide coverage for a criminal act. And I can totally understand a fear of a wrongful conviction.
      I would like to point out that the exact policy definition of 'conviction' says "final, non-appealable entry..." which means that the appeals process is available to members if needed.
      You can find the full policy including those important definitions here: www.deltadefense.com/public/self-defense-liability-policy.pdf

    Did the arrest get expunged? An arrest is frequently treated as a conviction by those who don't know the difference.

    • @USCCAOfficial

      That may depend on both your state's laws about carrying where alcohol is served, as well as the private establishment's rules.
      To look and see if bars/taverns would be a prohibited location in your state, you are always welcome to check out our free gun law and reciprocity map here: www.usconcealedcarry.com/resources/ccw_reciprocity_map/

    Why am I seeing more and MORE TH-cam’s putting out videos exposing your company leaving your “clients” to dry?? A lot of cases of that happening… you don’t even send out an actual lawyer, you send out a “representative”…
    Apparently in the fine print of your contracts you said that you have “the right to NOT defend you” anyone see what’s wrong with this picture??

    • @USCCAOfficial
      @USCCAOfficial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a lot of misinformation being thrown around out there. In the unfortunate occurrence of an incident, our Critical Response Team will immediately work on your case, including sending an attorney to your location if need be.
      I am not sure what you are referring to in regards to fine print. In Section 1, Part A, the policy specifically states, "We will pay those sums that the “insured” becomes legally obligated to pay for “compensatory damages” as a result of any “claim” to which this insurance applies. We will have the right and duty to defend the “insured” against any “claim” seeking “compensatory damages”.”. You can read this on page 2 of the policy here: www.deltadefense.com/public/self-defense-liability-policy.pdf?

    So the Prosecutor has endless amounts of money to destroy your life even if he blatantly doesn't want to see all the evidence, drags the case out for over a year, have YOU spending tens of thousands of dollars, and then he says okay I forfeit the case with no repercussions to his foot dragging to Discovery / Exposer to the details. Something really, really wrong with that long term process of events, having the emotions of self-defender, Churning with depression, maybe causing you an internal cancer.
    There are Frivolous Lawsuit Laws in England, and America assuredly needs to adopt those laws for the sake good hard working Americans to Maintain Domestic Tranquillity as is written in The Preamble to The Constitution. Some in the Law Profession literally have to have The Cojones to Legislate those laws. Didn't those Marxist Democrat Parasites Legislate "Bail Reform Laws" to let criminals out of jail more easily to make more repeated crimes.

      @@repentandfollowjesuschrist6170 That's not true at all. An individual will not be dropped simply because they are charged with a crime and the notion that they would be dropped simly for being charged with a crime is 100% untrue. Practically every self-defense incident will result in being charged with a crime, if not multiple crimes.

    • @USCCAOfficial

      The USCCA is actually not an organization of attorneys, but there are 1200+ criminal defense attorneys around the US that have agreed to work with our members if needed.
      There are also several examples on our TH-cam page, award winning magazine, and sometimes on our blog/community pages of members that were involved in self defense incidents and could navigate the legal aftermath with the help of their membership benefits.
      For privacy and security reasons, we only share member stories from members that have given us permission to do so. You can find a few of these examples told in the member's and/or attorney's own words:

      @@USCCAOfficial Thank you for clarifying that as it was not when I signed up in 2020. There are a lot of things going around and I want people to understand the actual lay of the land. Tom did a white background explanation recently. Perhaps a less clinical video, made to reach non-CCSSA members from Tim and maybe more of the staff, relaxing and talking would help to correct the current light that has been cast upon you.

    • @USCCAOfficial

      Part of the coverage limits in the Self Defense Liability Insurance policy members get access to is actually 'no limit' defense expenses, meaning that you would not have to pay attorney retainer costs out of pocket for a covered act of self defense!
      USCCA members also have the ability to choose their own defense attorney from the 1200+ criminal defense attorneys nation wide that have agreed to work with members in their time of need.
