Brilliant Headroom interview...back when you didn;t necessarily have to fawn over celebrities the way they do now...I think its because the PR culture has got so strong but there was a golden time in the mid eighties to the mid nineties when no celebrity agents and PR had quite mastered the 'lock down' on interviews so you got gold like this and stuff like Dennis Pennis, The Day today, Ali G, the list goes on, but you couldn't get away with it today.
Seriously, it's too bad more people don't know about Max Headroom. On the special features of the 2011 DVDs, the old crew says they'd love to resurrect Max and do a new series. I think it would be perfect. This show (and the rest of the 80's) is the reason I grew up to be so weird.
@Marscow yup..me 2...i was infatuated with Max headroom and his little aside jokes during the clips of editing that might go over most people heads..Max in the 2000's would fit right in...give him a retro MTV show..he'd be a hit.
thanks for posting this i had it on video, but the tape chewed up about 10 years ago, ast least ive just downloaded it to add to my collection again, max headroom was an asshole.
And this was on Channel 4, yet it's so off-the-wall you'd think it was Japanese television! But then again, there was Rapido and later Eurotrash show that was just as balls-to-the-wind nuts.
In this episode the Max Headroom Show the music video of Boy George's song Victims was shown here is the link to the full music video watch?v=OH6KApqmrBk
80's was an explosion of new and unique artist in their own way, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, Madonna; Max...right before cable tv and internet; I can only imagine with that technologie then, or the tehnologie now with them; Tv our days sucks...
Timeless, that is one word which does not apply to this video. This clip drips mid-80s. I hope Boy George was going for that "handsome-corpse" look, because that is exactly what he achieved. Matt Frewer wore less makeup and came across more natural.
Or the interviewed...here.........like the almsot Mac headroom look fuck my nose I wanna know how that took place it wouldn't displace plastic surgeons but they the they did become plastic surgeons and one reason my ideas down played...
@PureBloodHoneyBoy Everybody loves Max Headroom. But some younger people today say he creeps them out. Look at the video of Max Headroom on my page. Look up HootyHaHa Max Headroom Art Of Noise and you'll find the music video.
He’s the digital copy of a human guy’s mind. He is supposed to have all the memories and personality of his human template with absolutely none of the tact or self control.
Max is on a flat screen TV, quite advanced for back then!
VERY VERY......
Max Headroom + Boy George = Pure Awesomeness
“Do you remember… Boy George? Well-“
“Huh, me neither.”
Dunno why, but that line in one of Max’s appearances always stuck to me. Lol
"Don't thank me! DON'T THANK ME! He's thanking me! GET RID OF HIM, FOR GOD'S SAKE!"
I used to sing his song when I was young, now I know that I really really liked Boy George !! Great Interview.

Boy George on The Max Headroom Show. Those were wild times. ;-) ;-) ;-)
if i had to show somebody exactly what were the 80s i'd show them this video.

Max was the shit. They need to bring him back.
Boy George would be canceled today for saying that minorities are the most prejudiced against other people.
I used to LOVE Max Headroom, V funny and such a cool dresser :)
Fantastic.
Que 🐈 amei você Boy George 💋 amor ❤️🇧🇷🇱🇷 👏🏻 Love Boy 🎤❤️Lais 💋🙏🎤👏
I was terrified of Max headroom when I was a child.

This maybe the most 80s thing ever
Max is a respectful no homo kind of guy ~

My life is better now.
And this was on Channel 4, yet it's so off-the-wall you'd think it was Japanese television! But then again, there was Rapido and later Eurotrash show that was just as balls-to-the-wind nuts.

Cable television had its roots in the late 1970s.
DON'T THANK ME!
What was up with that computer guy!! LOL
Looks like James Charles
Lmfaooo
sorry ... but which 1 is the robot
georgethebear1812 what do you mean?
Neither one is the robot, actually.
@PureBloodHoneyBoy No! He's not!

I wonder if George was doing smack at this point?

If there is one thing I would erase from the 80s it would be Max Headroom...
George is so cute, like always, but that computer man... He's really annoying...
Max Headroom is kinda a jerk? What the hell.
He’s the digital copy of a human guy’s mind. He is supposed to have all the memories and personality of his human template with absolutely none of the tact or self control.
It's yyyyyyyyyoung Trump pppppppp
Nope. It’s a young Matt Frewer playing Max Headroom.
