I’ve said it before I’ll say it again: One of history’s greatest plot twist would have been if Umbridge was revealed to be a Gryffindor when she was in school. Wormtail showed us not all Gryffindors are brave, she’d have shown us that being in Gryffindor doesn’t mean you’re not a monster.
She’s such a hated villain because she’s so relatable. We’ve all encountered a Delores Umbridge or two in our lives.
I had a co-worker just like Dolores, she was evil, and to make things worst we both had the same rank in the project, me being technical manager and her administrative manager. Funny thing is she saw herself as a godly woman.
Umbridge is right up there on my list of villains along with Amy Dunne and Annie Wilkes
And yet, you can almost see in her eyes just how absolutely miserable Imelda Staunton was, playing the role.
Dolores literally means “pains” in Spanish, like having pain in many body parts.
Umbridge was effectively a wizarding version of a Karen.
Ironic that Delores isn't a pure blood herself she's actually a half blood in her logic ron weasley is superior to her
Perhaps considered more evil than voldimort due to her realistic examples in the professional teaching world. Whereas voldimort is an evil that is more distant to a lot of people.
