    For the peanut butter cookies...I always, always (as been taught) dip the fork tines in sugar before pressing the tines into the dough. The tines don’t stick to the cookies and the small amount of sugar gives the cookies a nice texture!!

    If you press your fork in sugar or flour it will keep the fork from sticking to the cookie when you press on it. ❤

      Or easier yet, all you need to do is wet the fork with water before pressing!☺

      Using sugar also adds a bit of sugar to the top of the cookie.

      Dhwani what was the measurements of the condense milk when U made this?? And how much coconut?? Can U do fresh shavings??? Just curious

    • @dhwani8890
      @dhwani8890 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      AngelsWorldTV I used about a cup of coconut shavings (yes, they can be fresh!) and half a cup of condensed milk. This worked for me but you can add how much ever condensed milk you what until it reached the desired consistency. Do try them! These were amazing.

    Hi Gemma
    I have been making these peanut butter
    cookies for over 40 years. My kids loved making them right after a
    meal for desert, the cookies were always nice and soft then. The next
    day after play or school the cookies were hard not even crisp. We
    would put them in an airtight bag or bowl with the heel of bread and
    that would make the cookies nice and soft again just like the kids
    liked them.
    I can't wait to try the oatmeal
    cookies, they sound delish!

    I tried making the coconut cookies today and they turned out amazing. I kept them in the oven a little longer so they became darker in colour and slightly caramelised too so i ditched the chocolate. Sure going to make these a lot more. Thanks!

    Made the chocolate banana oatmeal cookies - delicious! Though I found them too sweet. Next time I’ll halve the portion of chocolate chips (I used regular semisweet) or even leave them out altogether. Just the banana and oats alone would be tasty.

      I've never wasted so much time replying to a cookie blog and a very simple one at that. People go look up Vegan and Vegetarian and Organic cookies you'll learn alot and can actually find a cookie that doesn't use sugar or uses it minimally. I regret accidentally watching this in the first place but yes it's better than the store bought, 100% better.

    I am making all three of these tomorrow, these are all three mostly healthy and so yummy, and I am pretty sure I have all of these in my pantry. A little tip if you make the cookies with the banana again, allow the banana to brown on the outside completely & it is more easy to mash and more sweet! 👍🏻

    hi mam last tym u replied me i am big fan of urs and i am of 13 yrs and tried every recipe and too my brother loves your cooking and u r my inspiration thanx....alot but a query that i am vegan and agar agar is not available and too the heavy cream plz....tell what to do

    • @biggerbolderbaking
      @biggerbolderbaking  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Agar agar is a vegetable source gelling agent, as is China Grass, and Carrigeen moss. All of these are derived from seaweed! and they are very effective. Heavy cream is from cows milk, it is not vegan! it is the fat from the milk really. This varies from 35% - 49% for a cream which will whip up, and hold its' shape. If you have further questions message me on Facebook messenger, it is hard to return to comments here on TH-cam :)

    I actually already knew the peanut butter cookie recipe and I've made so many batches of those. They saved me when my church had a bake sale because they were so cheap and quick to make. I'm so excited to try the other two recipes.

I fact for so long that my daughter, who ate them as a child, will whip up a huge batch shaped like rugby balls, paint laces on them and take them to her hubby's rugby games! They're a hit!!

    Last night I fancied something sweet. Had one banana so made a half quantity of the banana and choc chip recipe. I used fudge chips and some cinnamon. Intended to freeze one to see how that worked as the full recipe looked bit much for one person. So easy to make and they were cooked in 15 minutes. Never got to freeze one as I ate them all in one go! Will be making these again as soon as I buy some bananas. Will try white choc chips next time. Thank you Gemma, for the recipe.

    • @biggerbolderbaking
      @biggerbolderbaking  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can press a thumbprint on the cookie and place a Hershey's kiss on it. Put one in the oven and check. I think it will get soft, but still will still maintain its shape. I have not tried it yet, but it sound interesting to do.
