Stopping at the claymore hotel in arrochar Also a trip on the jacobite steam railway 🚂 Glenfinnan viaduct made famous in the Harry potter 2 / franchise (chamber of secrets) from fort William to mallaig and also a day trip to Oban on Caledonian coaches So this is part of my research .

I love Oban, but this makes me very glad I've never been in summer. I'll stick with trips there in March and October.

Love going to Oban for ferry trips to the islands and sails on Waverley paddle steamer at end of May. Sheesh that piper doesn't give up!

I worked in Oban from 1972 until 1975 I was a chef in the great western hotel on the esplanade beautiful town
