I vote you try this whole work up again with different brass. Your barrel seems to like this combo, and there was almost no point of impact shift with the different loads. You know... for science.
I have some brand new starline brass I could try. However I don't know how much leverevolution I will have left. I am loading up some bulk grendel ammo now. May try in the future.
@@RobsReloading lever seems pretty common around here. Seen some just last week when i was at lgs. They even sold me 300 small rifle primers. I had high hopes for your last group. That last shot tho 😬
Maybe have trimmed all the pieces once or twice. Have only annealed twice. No crazy hot loads, but all loads near published max. Really in my experience the hornady grendel brass has held up well. As of right now that brass has 9 fireings on it. I am assuming the higher SD's are probably a result of the beat up brass. I am going to switch over to some starline now and see how it fairs.
I happened to have a full jug of Lever and decided to test this series with 120 ELD Match.
I had issues with the ogive shape with the 120 eld in grendel. Had to load very short to keep them out of the lands.
I have a ARP 18” 3r barrel that shoots the 120 ELD at 2600fps and .280” group with Starline brass Cci 41 primers and 31.3 gr Lever Evolution
2.300” ovl
That is good! What temperature did you shoot in? Thanks!
70-80 degree weather

I look forward to your next video. I am going to be doing a load workup with 123 sst and leverevolution for a hunting load.
That brass life is impressive! Have you had to trim it much?

i'm wondering if the node would be around 31,5gr
Should do ok at 600 yards. Interested to see what happens.
What barrel make?
