I have a little bit of time in this machine, around 50 hours and am certainly not an expert, but I can say that it is an extremely clunky airplane that was great fun to fly. This add -on seems way overpowered. I barely ever saw 300 knots IAS let alone 400. The centrifugal flow engine took almost 20 seconds to go from idle to full power and was prone to compressor stall if the throttle was handled too roughly. It wasn't very responsive until it got above 80% so the speed brakes were always used on final approach to keep the revs up in case a go-around was necessary. There was no nose wheel steering and the plane had neutral stability in roll. It took about 3-4 hours at the controls to get the hang of keeping the wings level. I don't know where they came up with a 48,000 ft. ceiling. I think you would either run out of fuel or die of old age before getting there. In short, it was an underpowerd pig but I loved it.
SwissMilSim have modelled the DH Venom and Vampire in MSFS that had similar early centrifugal engines. In the Venom and Vampire you have to treat the engines very carefully to avoid damage or engine fires. It's a shame the engine modelled here doesn't feature the same limitations that existed for the first generation jet engines modelled on Sir Frank Whittle's design. Part of the charm and challenge of the early jets are their operational and performance limitations.

I really like the look of the old Cold War jets from the '50's and '60's, they really are very cool. I think I'm going to have to buy this and add it to the hangar with the F-104 Starfighter I have. Now there's a plane that's tricky to fly!
I'm really really hoping that in MSFS 2024 there is an expansion / addon or even a spin off for a combat flight sim. DCS is great but it really needs a modern competitor. Great video as always, I usually only use MSFS for civvy aviation and DCS for military but this one looks very nice.
So a few tips on the fuel tanks. Tip tanks should be always on, Wing and Leading Edge tanks should be off until one of them is needed, then turn one on at a time. Notice how quick you were losing fuel in the game menus? This is because if you turn on all the tanks at once, it will fuel dump after the fuselage tank is filled. So Fuse and Tip at all times, and after the tip tanks are empty, then switch on one of the other tanks.
5:50 why are all aircraft and controllers 'shouting' and why does it sound so crisp and sharp? Have the devs of BATC never listened to actual ATC recordings?

Love the attention to detail such as the pins and covers. Excellent job IniBuilds and thank you for sharing 320 Sim Pilot!
Thanks for watching!
2 uploads in one day? were being spoilt here!

I might have to give the F-104 a go! This T-33 is very forgiving, just don’t get slow on final approach!
@@320SimPilot Yes, I think you'd like the F-104, quite challenging, not forgiving, and needs plenty of speed on approach too!
I really enjoyed this presentation.... Another informative and honest appraisal... Very helpful.. Thank you... Roger

Great video - really enjoyed you taking this little gem out for a work-out 👍
yes like it flies like a dream
Looks like a ton of fun! Those aerobatic bits and the fly past shots were great!
Livestream soon please 🙀🎉 ^Haden

Looks like a lot of fun! 👍
Miramar is actually a MCAS station now. Marine's.
Thx for sharing 👍
They should have added a hide stick button.
smashing and a smashing good video thank you
Wish we could have a Jet Provost and a Gnat!
That would be fantastic!
Definitely would love the JP! Saw loads as an air cadet in the early 70’s but never got to sit or even fly in one 😢
MSFS always has issues with overly sensitive pitch. It seems to affect planes large and small.
Great Video. How can I get Military pilots in the cockpit, asobo does not have military pilots.
Is this coming to the Marketplace?
Hi! It has been sent to MS :)

What’s the business with fuel , I ran out quickly and than crash. ! 🙈😂
when is your next livestream
San Diego airport authorities would like to talk to you about your unauthorized airshow. 🤣🤣🤣
First one!
second here!
