53 letters for my lover by Leylah Attar!! Hello? It's a crime this book is not read/appreciated the way it should. And Nia Forrester ofcourse! ( only Commitment and Black & white has cheating but all her books have so much justifiable angst).Her characters usually get together early in the books and then the real struggle begins w all the misunderstandings/diff ambitions/life struggles and what not. And believe me the reasons behind those conflicts are not silly, almost every single argument is reasonable and relatable. And if that's not enough, they are diverse. I love her books!!

Mary, babe, you should check out The Mighty Storm by Samantha Towle and Thoughtless by S.C. Stephens. Both include cheating but well done. The Hs are both rock stars and neither tropes are favorable to me in general but these I really enjoyed
If anyone is looking for a "Soft cheat" in a book (Yes, I totally just made up that term) I would suggest The Wolf and Sheep series by Penelope Sky. I say it's "soft cheating" because the line is a little muddy. It's about a marriage of convenience with two people who don't like each. So, they have an open marriage for a short time. Because their feelings change to mutual respect, friendship and then so much deeper. They are obviously in love without saying it but when she finally tells him through a beautiful song she writes and performs, he freaks out so he cheats on her. But the way he does it is so fucked up and mean, it breaks her heart,my heart and his because he immediately regrets it but the damage is done. It's sooo good. I highly recommend it
