Nice video! I was specifically looking for a video with some good footage of a MSH summer climb. Is it safe to assume that a summer climb on this mountain requires no special equipment, aside from maybe trekking poles?
No special equipment required, but I highly recommend trekking poles and boots. There's a lot of rock hopping in the middle of the climb, so you're gonna want good ankle support and a thick sole. Make sure to apply for a permit right at 9am on Feb 1st because the summer weekends go really fast. It's a great climb, have fun!
What's the best route to go to avoid other people, and did I see a dog? Animals are allowed on the trail? Are hikers allowed to go off trail?
Gonna give this a go in August :)
