Hi Mike, great video again. i appreciate you taking the time for these. Even thou im no living a place as cold as you (im in Scandinavia) it can get reasonable cold at times. However what i do not understand is who Ford did not let us have the option to select the cabin temperature in digits. I mean they have plenty of dials in that app anyway and software could easily do a readout of the cabin temp senors. so setting it on warm in winter, what would that do when spring/summer comes... spew hot air into a hot cabin?... sure i could go change it, but i usually always drive at the same cabin temp no matter the outside temp.... Also its a bit cumbersome that you have to do a schedule to make the car precondition the battery, why not just have 2 buttons on the mainpage of the app stating 15 minutes cabin pre-con and a second on for 30 minutes cabin+Battery pre-con.... lol sound like im blaming you, but ofc im not, its just frustrating some of the decisions they have made. perhaps i missed something or some of your viewers might think the same as me :) other than that i really love my MME :D

I believe the battery conditioning will only work when plugged in. Cabin will heat either way.

Mike, thanks for the video. My new MME is due to come in next week. I am retired so I do not have a fixed schedule. I live in NH. Let's say I get up at 7am and know I have errands to do that day and want to leave at 10am. Can I just set a departure time on the fly? Just a one time deal for that day without it repeating? I want to make sure the battery and the cabin is ready on a cold day but don't want the departure time to repeat. Just set it up on a day that I know I have things to do. Thanks in advance for responding.

Correct. You can set it up once or just for one day. It will repeat itself though so you would have to go in later and either modify or delete that entry. You can set it up on the fly, say 2 hours before leaving and it would still work as intended.

Do you known how much energy it will consume if the vehicle is not plugged in? Let’s say I’m on a ski trip and I want my car and battery to be warm when I’m done and it’s not plugged in. Just to make sure it’s not taking 15-20% battery ;)

I don't, and I really wish/think Ford should put a graph on the display so you could determine, over time, how much battery is consumed in your climate. There are so many variables at play. I wouldn't think as high as 15%, but I would bet it would easily take 5% when departure schedule is set. Again, many variables. I think it could be closer to 10% in my climate, especially when the precondition starts 85 minutes prior to departing.

@@upnorthmike6085 A late reply but qurious as I'm getting mine in a month in Sweden :)
I get that you should be plugged in when using departure time but isn't that bad for the battery?
A battery shouldn't really be at 100% for a long time?!
Is there a way to set max charging to 80%?
      Thanks for some good videos!
