Just wanted to thank you for this vid! I was watching this about 2 weeks ago and I made such a racket about the drone that my girlfriend secretly ordered one and gave it to me a couple of nights ago. Your unboxing was great to watch but to open it in person was amazing it truly is an entire experience. Flying it although in the house for now has been a blast! Thanks again for all the work you do and thank you Laurie for the amazing gift and making me feel like a kid again!

got our 9 yr old one for Christmas- the packaging is amazing...cool drone in its own right, but the thing is really designed cool for starwars fans- how the battery is the cockpit(and theres two, plus dummy display). he loves 'display' stuff/collector stuff, scratch built r2d2, etc, and this thing really was a home run...hadnt expected anything half this impressive. kudos to propel on maybe the coolest packaging ever.

Currently all three available at Costco for $30. Had to grab the X-Wing. Well worth it. Flies really nice compared with the cheapies. They don't have the amazing boxes though, but really nicely packaged anyway.
That video you made of the xwing fighter is bad azz. I'm definitely going to buy me one now. Man,the way the xwing zoomed by you was off the chain and the way it does that rollover thing while in forward flight is amazing. You really did a good job on the unboxing. Keep up the good work. 👍👍👍👌👌👌
Wow it's really good to see some companies like Sphero and Propel taking these toys to the next level. We only used to get toys for kids but now we are getting an explosion of toys for the adults that where born in 70's, 80's and 90's. Plus its cool that this thing is packed full of Star Wars goodness.

I have to say this was best reviews and drones I have ever owned 👍👍👍👍 Things happened when I opened the box and read the instructions I did not understand until I saw your video. ✔️ Extremely well done 👏 If you go to Staples i they are having a fire sale and I got my rebel flyer for $79 dollars 💪 Propel should win an award the controller does so many things. This drone is made for rookies as well as seasoned flyers. To make a drone that can peek at 35mph w alt hold laser tag, training mode to learn how to fly properly and level of detail w the movie is phenomenal 🏆

hey just wondering if you guys are still flying the x wind drone? we got one for my son and he got lift off once and then it crashed into the bed and it hasn't gone up again and we did all the checks. plus I couldn't find a customer service number for propel. these guys make it look so simple and easy but we aren't having that experience.
Its not hard to fly, it just takes a little time to learn it. I fly „real“ racequadcopters now but i also started with something similar in size and power. The difference is that mine was just built for flying and learning(i probably smashed it hundreds of times against walls). These toys attract children who like star wars and think that they can have epic battles or something. These things are built to look like the fighter in the move although this a terrible design for crashing and everybody crashes!!! I fly quads for over 4 years now and i also crash everyday, if you want to improve you have to push the limits. My advice would be if your son just like Star Wars he is better of playing a videogame. Please don‘t keep buying toys like that. They are just completely overpriced and will break within minutes (no matter how many you buy) If your son on the other hand is into Rc i recommend finding a club. There he can learn more about the hobby and can have his first flight with a teacher. (Sorry for my probably terrible Englisch, i hope its understandable)

Ebay has a few and pretty affordable. I got one locally and needed some parts they were still available. Took it out today and it is cool. It did well outside with a 3 mph breeze, kept it low and it was OK, very stable and the auto roll feature is cool.

I would say yes. I flew the first drone for Christmas. It was not as stable a flight as here in the video. But now I'm ordering my own Propel Star Wars drone to practice with.
I just received this. I'm not a drone fan... or at least I wasn't... it's hard not to geek out with the presentation effort Propel put into the experience. Mine did come with 2 cockpit batteries, and 1 false cockpit cover so you can display it without the batteries installed. Overall, I give it a thumbs up and it makes my inner child silently giggle when flying it. If they can improve the battery performance with replacement parts, it would be superb.
I brought one for $49 b4 Christmas, l wanted the Falcon tho. Haven't tried it yet. You seen to already know how to fly these. I would be nervous in the house. And I first saw a $150 price for these!
i used to have a hubsan x5 with a controller with a built in screen, considering this device controller has something to hold a phone, i`m surprised this quad doesn`t have a camera built into it for true 1st person flight battles, that seems like a major missed opportunity there, after all how many star wars fans really wanna feel like there in the cockpit of a x-wing, a quad with a camera and a controller with a screen can be brought for a lot less than this costs, apart from the star wars decals there really isn`t anything to justify how much they charge for what is otherwise a cheap toy quad.

What Country is noted on the wax seal? Each Country Propel sent them to has slight paint variations. I have 2 one from Germany and one from Japan. Yours is very clean...the 2 I have show a lot of battle damage. Also yours has yellow painted on one of the engine's cowl. Neither of mine have that.
PLUG IN YOUR PHONE! That drone has front cameras! put your phone there, download the app, connect the wifi of your phone to the wifi the drone emits, and see what your drone sees! Very cool feature for battle mode!

Propel has discontinued the Star Wars line of drones and no longer has ANY parts stock (This is per their Customer Support a few minutes ago) On another note, Costco is currently selling each of the three models for only $30 in SoCalifornia, at least until they realize the company dropped support and return their stock (or sell out as "discontinued")
I just got mine yesterday! It's incredible!!! Edit: however I didn't get the surprise when I opened the box. When I opened it, it didn't play any music so I had to charge it. And the remote didn't do the c3p0 thing or any light but it still did what I wanted it to do!😁👌
The cool packaging probably adds quite a bit to the cost of these things. Looks like most places right now are carrying these for around 60$ though, which is probably a decent price.
I’m pretty sure the speaker that tells you to insert your four AA’s must be operated by either a lithium ion battery inside that is non-rechargeable and nonreplaceable or button cell batteries
To keep it in collectible conditions, does the wax seal need to be untampered ? I want to keep one as a collectible but I don’t know if it needs to be unopened for it to stay a collectible.
Both my x wing and speeder bike had a motor fail Front left motor white wire is being crushed by the plastic motor holder but I fixed them You just have to file a small groove into the top motor holder to stop the white wire being squashed
If the wire is broken flush with the motor, I had to scrape the area to expose the wire then drop solder on the hole to make the wire stick and used hotglue to hold it down working fine so far
I recently bought this drone, only it is not working properly. it starts up a little bit during the test drive, and then it stops immediately, there are new batteries and battery. maybe you know what's wrong with it?

Prior to opening the battery compartment, I was a little blown away that the screwdriver handle was a lightsaber hilt!

I think someone opened that before you did, when I opened mine it started with the Star was main theme music! odd

I’m pretty sure the speaker that tells you to insert your four AA’s must be operated by either a lithium ion battery inside that is non-rechargeable and nonreplaceable or button cell batteries
To keep it in collectible conditions, does the wax seal need to be untampered ? I want to keep one as a collectible but I don’t know if it needs to be unopened for it to stay a collectible.

Both my x wing and speeder bike had a motor fail Front left motor white wire is being crushed by the plastic motor holder but I fixed them You just have to file a small groove into the top motor holder to stop the white wire being squashed
yes they are all the same. the white motor wire is being crushed by the motor mount on top. can be easily fixed.
If the wire is broken flush with the motor, I had to scrape the area to expose the wire then drop solder on the hole to make the wire stick and used hotglue to hold it down
working fine so far
