I've had 17t's on my n54 e92 for 2 years, pushing 536whp and 530wtq, and they've had no issues. So for me they been pretty great for what they cost. I've been running V5 E40 OTS as well. I really need to get a custom tune though. And so y'all know, I've had my car for 7 years and my car has got 154k miles and I drive the crap out of it, been the best car I've ever owned and I have an F90 M5 and I still prefer my 335i. Probably because it's a manual.

Great video! A healthy stock fuel pump on the v5 e40 can handle that map easily I don't know why people think a walbro 450 etc will make more power. If the lpfp holds 55 to 60psi minimum that's all it needs. The video is the proof for that... The only issue is that the pump will fail quicker than a e85 approved pump, you just need to keep an eye on the logs.
@@slown5414 tuner I used is really good, however he normally tunes single turbo n54s. I ran the shit out of it for 30k miles, tracked it *often*, and honestly just abused it overall. It was bound to happen.
Not gonna lie the 11-blade wheel with the 17t’s I feel like is the difference maker between 9 & 6x6 blade wheels. I had the 11 blade with 19T’s and beat a twin turbo mustang. So this proves that 11-blade is no joke

@@csgogetfucced5043 it's oil making it by the seal and burning post turbo, it will eventually get worse, yes. Will it blow your engine? No. But eventually, it will get so bad you'll smoke out the neighborhood lol. Make sure you prime the turbos when they're installed and if the car sits for more then a few weeks make sure you prime it before starting it. This will help these turbos live longer.
Wonder if upgrading turbos just to achieve 500whp would put theses turbos in trouble for long term cause I think 500whp is the sweet spot for every day use.
Got the exact same turbos about to finish installing them this week and will go custom tune on e50 on stage 2 bmp lpfp well see what she puts down on the dyno hoping to see 530-550 hp surprised to see your dyno so high

Infact best I've seen mhd stage one 402. Which is mad. And we all use the same dyno. Reliable. Not bhp figures turned in whp. Not inflated dyno jet. I've seen 680 on 17t, meth. Eth. Forged PI etc. 570 is good without issues. Same car with st build was high 800s
Mine are starting to smoke when im let off the gas or im stopped, especially if I go pass 4k rmp's. The car sometimes goes into limp mode around 3500 rmp with normal driving

I have similar turbos in my car and i make 400rwkw (Australian dyno) which is about 550-600whp? I do have a walbro tho. Keen to see some draggy numbers on these just because theres so many myths about US vs AUS dynos. Would looooooooooove to see draggy

You could tell those turbos were about to go out it was prob the center bearing inside the turbo I bet the oil passage hole wasn't big enough that's what happen to my Chinese 25g turbo

We are running this tune on a 335xi here in Massachusetts (Cold air and great DA) and ran 10.6s at 130MPH on Dragy and people are having a hard time believing us (don't blame them to be honest). Andrew mentioned that its definitely over boosting but we just don't know to what level. Obviously it is to the level of power required to push the car to 130MPH. This is probably the unintentional secret to making these numbers. Any idea what boost you were running on the Dyno?
@@SwapDepot HI dude, right so the idea here is that the logs show 21.4psi but the duty cycle target, which is build for Stock turbos, is totally over boosting the 17T's, and we are running more like 26+ in reality? Not sure but at that boost the power makes more sense. Running 10.6 at 130 in an Full weight E90 xdrive has created quite a bit of skepticism. Don't know what to say other than provide logs. Also, we have a full uncut video of us taking the car from a walkaround in a parking lot to the spot (in Mexico) where it ran a 10.68 at 130MPH the other night! Keep in mind we have Freezing temps and a DA of -1600 (yes that is very cold for Mexico!). I think we are both getting very lucky with this tune and it is better to get a safe, custom tune at the end of the day.

17t are still td03 twin turbos, if anything they spool faster than stock and have more power low-mid , compared to single turbo which are better for top end power but spoil quickly

Hey Ali, upgrading to 17t with the MHD Stage 2+ vc5.1 map kill map. Is this the (jb4) backend for hybirds flash map unloaded to just solely mhd. And would you recommed it for daily driver temporaily till I get a full tune. Cash limited. lol
The one question I have been looking to find out is which T-Map Sensor were you running for the V5 OTS? I know that Our friends at "Zero to 60" did some checking into this and said the secret to the big power when running this map is to NOT change you T-Map to the 3.5 for it. It somehow lets the ECU think it's needing to run more boost or something (I'm sure I have that wrong LOL) But I'd like to know if that's why you did here too??
I'm kinda wondering if I should have left the 2.5 sensor in my self ? Based on my cars weight and quarter mile mph im making 560rwh. But not really complaining since I went in the 9s.💪

Hey Ali, upgrading to 17t with the MHD Stage 2+ vc5.1 map kill map. Is this the (jb4) backend for hybirds flash map unloaded to just solely mhd. And would you recommed it for daily driver temporaily till I get a full tune. Cash limited. lol

The one question I have been looking to find out is which T-Map Sensor were you running for the V5 OTS? I know that Our friends at "Zero to 60" did some checking into this and said the secret to the big power when running this map is to NOT change you T-Map to the 3.5 for it. It somehow lets the ECU think it's needing to run more boost or something (I'm sure I have that wrong LOL) But I'd like to know if that's why you did here too??
