Smallest unit of matter? Well, an electron is rather debatably described as a “unit of matter” - but, being a small part of an atom, it's certainly a lot smaller than an atom. Also, both physics and chemistry study properties of matter. Which one you pick depends on the type of property you are considering.
Just when you thought it was safe to read your comments: An atom is not larger than an electron. An electron is a negative-charge particle that orbits the nucleus of the atom... as part of the atom, the electron is smaller... as is the neutron-- positive charge.... Thanks again for great quiz.

That is what I answered.
I think the answer was correct. The question was what is the smallest unit, not thing. An atom is the smallest unit, made up of different types of particles. An electron is a subatomic particle, not a unit.
I just re-read my question and I think it's also correct, given the wording.

I am worried about how many people in my social environment can't even answer the simplest general knowlegde questions. I always get the arguments "I'm just not interested in these topics" or "I usually don't try to learn those things out of my head." Like bro, me neither, thats just called "being part of society."

The composition of matter is actually physics - what matter is made of, (it's composition). Quarks for example! Physics also concerns itself with how matter behaves in say electric fields, (the large hydron collider for example). Chemistry is merely to do with how various atoms and molecules join and break apart.

In the question, "what (of these choices) is the smallest unit of matter?", the cheat sheet is "electron", not "atom".
Both are units of matter, and the electron is smaller.
But the basic unit is an Atom. Electrons are a part of the atom but themselves are not a basic unit by itself

The electron is smaller than an atom, and is a fundamental particle! I think you are quite right to dispute this question, (17).
49/50 with the options (just got confused with chemistry vs. physics); 47/50 without. I think it's my joint best score on one of your quizzes, as I don't believe I've ever had a full house but have definitely only dropped one before.

But physics was a more accurate answer to that question, and a neutron is not a fundamental particle really, but that's nitpicking.

4:44 Q17 is "What is the smallest unit of matter?" and 3 options are given - molecule, atom and electron. That NECESSARILY implies that all 3 are units of matter and we are asked to choose between them. Therefore of those 3 the smallest is the electron, not the atom.
7:21 Q27 is extremely badly worded. My PHYSICS textbook was entitled "Mechanics and the Properties of Matter".
I managed 48/50. I said physics instead of chemistry and Bronte instead of Austen. Excellent set of mid knowledge questions.
I got 4 wrong if you count the one of the atom ⚛️ as i answered electrons. But all the same it is by far my best score to date.😊 great quiz.

I got 40 out of 50. Not the worst. I kept second guessing myself on a few of them.
Gonna nitpick here and highlight a little fun fact. After the annexation of Egypt into the Roman Empire, the Emperor took on the title of Roman Pharaohs when in Egypt. Cleopatra would have been the last of the Ptolemaic pharaohs

Someone of my age should find this pretty easy. Nothing is obscure or rare or hidden in trickery. So I had a rare example (for me) of getting them all with no stumbling. That said, this quiz was of your standard of being well done - ie, no vacuous rubbish. Thanks.👍

Some of these are the simplest questions ever.
Since we all know it’s smaller, I’d be curious to read an argument that convinces me an electron is not a “unit of matter.” Till then, I’m with all the others who are claiming credit for that one. So 50*/50. All four Ninja Turtles bear the names of Italian Renaissance artists: Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, & Michelangelo. (BTW, there were other renaissances.)
I managed 45, but felt I should have done a little better, ie Leonardo instead of Michaelangelo.

Gotta take issue with question 17. Electrons are sub atomic particles. Much smaller than atoms. Gluons and Quarks are even smaller. It's not 1950., guys, if you want to argue that you meant units of matter indivisible by chemcal means, maybe leave subatomic particles out of the multiple choice.
