Right! The only thing I should have commented on though, is that the profile they have here is not a specialist, so although very strong, he is not going to be scoring objectives.
For the Imperial Guard the armour value is very misleading. The Nanoscreen grants cover and armour. The armour isn't halved either so really he has a minimum armour of 4 and max of 5. I didn't take my Shasvastii Gailos until a friend pointed that out and I realised they were actually fairly decent and a -6 to shoot at the Imperial Guard is going to win a lot of rolls. Interesting profile!
For sure. It takes a bit to rewire your brain with the fact that you don't need to hug cover so much with them. You can walk out through the open and you still have all your cover bonuses. Makes them that more manoeuvrable as well.
Commenting for the algorythm mainly. Regarding the Raiden/Noctifer. A minor correction Mr Noctifer does not have infiltration. Its going to take someone with a bigger brain than me to work it out, but it seems that Mr Raiden is a lot more expensive but is more accurate. Bs 13 vs 12 on the nocti. Many other differences, but who knows if N5 will change the nocti profile. But functionally i agree, they are both jumping out from behind a plantpot on a roof to nuke something. :)
Completely right on the Infiltration point. It was pretty late in the evening recording and for whatever reason was convinced the Noctifer had it. So, they are more similar than I originally said. The Raiden is not a lot more expensive, though. A Noctifer with ML is 32/1.5 whereas the Raiden is 33/2 (If N5 Noctifer keeps the same points as N4). It takes up more SWC, but the main price point is pretty much the same and you get a better BS, better ARM, Xvisor to flatten all the negative range mods to 0 and I imagine the 0.5 SWC is for the fact he is a minelayer as well. However, the Noctifer has better mimetism and also has Dogged.
@@Ruggfish we shall have to see. I don’t know how the new Oyama measures up to the current ones, but even they are much bigger than the really old Domaru.
I really do not need any more terrain. I have very limited space in my home and it doesn't look like it is easy to tear down between games. Luckily, I am splitting the box with a friend and just getting the JSA models!
Combat Instinct means you ignore surprise shot , I believe.
That J-Samurai is a crazy value. I think that’s a well coated MI.

The Hatamoto profile is also LT with +1 order. It’s in blue next to the name. So this guy has at least 3 orders.
Good point! Missed that completely. You could get quite aggressive with this guy as your LT, as long as there is another with CoC.
I'm curious if there will be an update to the Domaru Butai sculpts as they're quite old now (still amazing sculpts but a little on the small side).

I really like the JSA. Not a big fan of the Sand Trap terrain.
