  • PLO Lumumba, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao and Peter Obi say the conversation on Pan Africanism is just starting. That was the conclusion of 3 of the main speakers at the press conference after The Convention 2024 was cancelled at the very last moment with all guests having arrived! New Africa Foundation's Pan African event, The Convention 2024, which was meant to feature guest speakers like Professor P. L. O. Lumumba, Julius Malema, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, and Peter Obi was cancelled at the last minute by the Ghanaian police on the orders of the authorities. The were joined at the press conference by Nana Kwame Bediako who is the brain behind The Convention 2024. The event had been scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Independence Square, coinciding with Ghana’s Constitution Day.
The organisers described the cancellation as shocking as they claimed government had approved the event as far back as November 2023 and apologised to the disappointed patrons.

@ raschellemodey8312 ABSOLUTELY! Therefore, Africa's youth should be patient.
In the Book of Ecclesiastes, it is written, that '...for everything there is a season....
The simple translation is that nothing lasts forever because change is inevitable. People in power always want to remain in power regardless of whether they can bring progress.
Therefore, the hundreds of millions of young people in Africa:
      1. should understand that all great causes have setbacks. Those who think they will be in power forever misunderstand Ecclesiastes.
      2. should understand that setbacks also provide lessons. Those who now rule want freedom and rights for themselves but not for others. Be patient. Trust the human mind, it is the greatest source of power. Use it constructively. One lesson is to organize better, mobilise more aggressively, and seek out the best and brightest among the young to become leaders, to remove those who make these kinds of intolerant decisions and who would be obstacles to the future.
      3. should remember that a practical strength of African youth is their overwhelming numbers. Therefore, organise them to vote to remove those who do not lead, and in their place elect those who will lead for the next three decades, during which time all critical changes could be made and cemented.
Best wishes to all Children of African ancestry.

@@tbdan3793 Your comment reveals a prelogical mindset. It is Ghana whose you boast of the Panafricanist past which has banned a Panafricanist Congress. Certainly under pressure from the american masters of Nana Akufo Ado who have a military base in Ghana. You therefore want this Panafricanist Congress to never be held since you absolutely want it to take place in Ghana.
This Congress will be held in Burkina Faso, or Mali, two countries which don't have foreign military bases on their soil. And then Burkina Faso is the country of Thomas Sankara and Ibrahim Traoré. Mali, the country of Modibo Keita who had included in the Malian Constitution the abandonment of sovereignty for the benefit of the United States of Africa.

The queen has spoken the correct information 🙌 great speech, grace, and power. God bless her. When is Nigeria going to help all those young African men? They need jobs they need education. They're just on the streets. They wouldn't be scamming people or robbing people, If they just had a chance, you guys need to educate them. Give them free education and then get them jobs. They need to take care of their families. You are failing the young men. There's hundreds and thousands of African Nigerian men who need help. No one is helping them. They are trying to survive on their own, give them an education, and show them how to make a better life for themselves. Teach them how to install electricity so they can have better electricity, better water, and better homes. They could be building you guys' communities. Building beautiful cities rebuilding that country, so it doesn't look like a crumbled city. Ruins into dirt into old abandoned. Buildings help them show them the way they are in your future. If you keep failing them, Africa will not survive.
Please stop just talking, and let's see some action they need action, and they need it. Your young man are going to die off if you don't get them the help they need.

Please select candidates you believe can rule then we do the rest. You are more powerful than they are. Tell them you pushed out people who are more powerful and they fell for good.

@@aromehbenjamin9421 Because he is. His media platform Sahara reporters played major role towards the ousting the former president Jonathan. That man is pure Sâtan. He cooks up lies and broadcasts it on his platform just to run propaganda against people he don't like. A chameleon who can never ever and should never ever be trusted.

Ghana is controlled by non Ghanaian forces I believe. Those that give loans that breed dependency. A free and independent Africa is their worst nightmare.

We have to double our efforts as Pan Africanists as Prof says by constantly organizing as elders and influence our youth and arm them in education and otherwise that Pan Africanism is what they should all strive for. The future of Africa is in the hands of the youth and l personally l cannot leave my children bankrupt of Pan Africanism. This is a duty for all African parents whether rich or poor, educated or uneducated. Each one must talk Pan Africanism to another African

NPP party which is the current government Ghana is anti Pan African also Anit development they outed the first president Nkrumah to establish their criminal system and serve as gatekeepers for foreign governments. In fact the current president’s father was one of the engineers of the downfall of Ghana before it even started. The Ashland’s dealt in the slave trade heavily doing the capturing and selling of people to the Europeans most those middle men are those whose children form the NPP party.

Is Africa rich in rare earth minerals?
And these are all minerals and metals that are in high demand, particularly for some of these clean energy supply chains. But likewise, significant deposits of high-grade rare-earth elements have been identified in countries such as Malawi, Namibia, Angola, South Africa.

The cancelation of the event could possibly work out to be the best thing to happen to Africa. Shining the light on the causes of the continents continued disfunction will hopefully inspired the young men and women of Africa rise up and demand accountability of leaders and get involved in the movement to wrestle the countries away from a shackled mindset of western dominance.
