I can watch this film over and over and be filled with the same emotions as when I first saw it. The theme of honor, love and sacrifice will still be true 10,000 yrs from now.
I have the DVD of this film and watch it time and time again. It is one of my all-time favourites.
When I first met my (now) wife, this was one of the first films we watched together - superb film and story.
"The Twilight Samurai" is one of the greats.
A great view on the movie. It is my number one on all time.
I remember watching this movie many years ago. The strong emotions and the natural setting is a powerful combination.
This is a film I believe all men should see, the pure characteristics of the main character is something all men should try to be, he has very little but he is blessed with what he does have, he is a good father, a strong warrior, and a hard worker. Most importantly he doesn’t seek power and wealth but finds the real treasure of life which is happiness. I despise slow films but this one made in into my top ten of all for how powerful it’s message. @Wild Flicks
One of the best and most unique takes on what a samurai film is capable of being that I've ever seen. Great film!
one of my favorite movies.
Whenever someone asks me what is my favorite movie, I answer: The twilight samurai. Hopefully, this enticed them enough to go see this masterpiece, as a life without watching it, is an unfulfilled one.
I saw this film years ago, and has always left an impression on me. I’ve been looking for this film everywhere for streaming, but to no avail. Then I came upon your review while searching for clips or scenes of the movie on TH-cam. You have such a thoughtful and intelligent take on this film. Really enjoyed watching and listening!
Cheers, thank you for watching! Hope you’re able to find somewhere to watch the film soon
There's a lot of Atticus Finch in Iguchi. Which is just about the highest compliment I can give I suppose.
Best film content on TH-cam.
I saw the whole trilogy a few days ago and I became obsessed! Great video, by the way!
A very wonderful movie, raw, real and beautiful
LOVE this film. To me, it's like the Japanese version of Clint Eastwood's UNFORGIVEN.
It's better!
Right? Right??? Glad to find another fan of these.
Great analysis for a great film. Subscribed 👍🏽
great video
Always pays to warm up before swordfighting
Freaking awesome movie!
Japanese movie directors are really good .
Wait a minute. There were three films and I only saw one ??? You have got to be kidding me.
I know! I had the exact same reaction
It is a trilogy with three different story but almost the same background era.
Same reaction here. It's probably like sergio leone's dollar trilogy. Three different story in same era.
Go watch it
what are the other two?
