Love the content Marc, but I am struggling with you not judging Bobby Witt Jr and Julio Rodriguez on their first few months of the season yet ignore the last year or 2 of several players and judge them solely on the first 2 months. Would love to see this done again later in the season and judged based on your top player rankings coming into the season and how the player performed this season.
He gave Lindor way too much of a pass. First, his defense has slipped a little. His bat is nowhere near where it was in Cleveland. Lindor needed to be in the overrated section.
If you are a rookie that performs well the first 50 game: “still too soon, he is not that good” If you are a rookie that performs bad the first 50 game: “he is trash”
That’s why rookies like Peña, Rodriguez, Witt Jr should all be left out of lists. Even guys who haven’t been up here for a long time like Wander Franco should be left off.

I think it's a combination of the juiced ball saga that happened during those years, injuries, and just the League adjusting to them because once they broke out the teams had more reason to do in depth analysis on them. Bellinger's fall actually started in the 2nd half of 2019, then 2020 and last season were bad, and he's starting to climb up now.

(In regards to Bobby Whit)"This isn't really fair." My brother in christ you made the list
And that’s why Brandon Nimmo will win the NL MVP
Mike trout is wayyyyyy over ratted Bec he’s veryyyy inconsistent either he’s on or off. He’s either 0/4 or 3/4 or 4/4
I saw your Facebook advertisement for editors, are you still looking?
Hot take: Ty France most underrated first baseman in baseball
That guy is a hitting machine.
I find it to be such a weird anomaly how only a couple years ago there was this intense MVP race that was so cool to watch between Cody bellinger and Christian Yelich , two young studs taking over the league with insane stats.. then they both fell off right at the same time and aren’t even considered mvp candidates at all anymore. Super weird.
@@gusterposey by slowly climbing and falling back a few aswell
It’s injuries in Yelichs case he basically wrecked his knee
Usually like the quiz content but Marc can get super biased in these ranking types of videos.
You should do one of these for all the big contracts
Marc:"Bo is slightly underrated."
Kevingohd: *clicks off the video
Nice rankings, love every ranking vids you do
Pretty good list overall. I won’t mention my disagreements cuz who cares it’s your list. But on the whole you nailed it I think. Keep up the killer content
Luis Arraez most underrated player in baseball. He plays outfield, 3rd base, 1st base, and consistently bats over .300 every year.
Ik he’s not on the list but I think Austin Riley might be the most underrated 3rd baseman in the league
He’s very good. But I’m still pissed he got all MLB team over Jose Ramirez.
I would consider wander to be slightly overrated. He’s hitting 260 with a 700 ops and people we’re acting like he’s the next coming of Tony Gwynn. I know it’s early but he’s really not that impressive
The disrespect to Cedric Mullins is ridiculous. Maybe in the second top tier
Yeah I'm a Boston fan and I can't say that Cedric isn't great just because he's of to a slow start doesn't mean anything. Cedric is amazing
How did he put Mike Trout underrated? Everyone know he is the best player at the moment he is properly rated
the fact that there is a debate makes him underrated. People are putting soto and Ohtani over him even though he has shown us time and time again that he is one of the goats.
@@davidstein431 literally. He's up there with mantle and williams and all the greats, and his career isnt over yet. He is simply the goat.
@@davidstein431 well I wouldn't say trout is head n shoulders but definitely over soto he's not even having a good season so far to be honest
