Everyone is exhausted and traveling together to a foreign country is a much more intimate experience than just regularly hanging out together at home, so some passive aggressive transgressions can be expected.

Watching this and Jaiden’s video on the Japan trip left me with some bittersweet feelings. It’s awesome to see what a fun and amazing time you guys had, but at the same time, it made me realize that I don’t really have any friends who share my interests that I’d be able to do stuff like this with, even if I had the time and money to do so.

Someone once asked a concert violist how she became so skilled. She gave a two-word answer: “planned neglect.” In other words, she neglected everything that wasn’t related to her goal, which was to be a master violinist.
If we want to be followers of Jesus, there is an element of planned neglect as well. It means staying away from the things that pull us away and drag us down and embracing the things that build us up and strengthen us in the commitment we’ve made.
We present ourselves to God, but at the same time, we don’t conform to this world.

Reject conformity to this world’s system and its self-indulgent ways, and instead be conformed to the image of Jesus. As you do that, you will begin to discover His plan for you.
Don’t be afraid to surrender to Him. Don’t let this world squeeze you into its mold. Live the way that God wants you to live.
i know this video is fairly new still but I love rewatching it, especially on the segment surrounding friends being the main ones to inspire and support you. It’s absolutely crazy to me that I went to japan around a similar time to you guys. I remember seeing the decorations for worlds in the airport and going to sunshine city’s pokemon cafe, and all sorts of the same stuff you guys did, and it’s surreal. The last part hit harder than i expected, being thankful about all your friendships through your decade long journey made me realize how little I do to show my appreciation towards my own friends, I dont know if appropriate to say but thank you man for making me realize there is something to life that people should care for more that doesnt get enough attention nowadays.
