A little tidbit: WW Denslow only illustrated the first book. The rest of the Baum Oz books are illustrated by John R. Neil.

I didn’t know that, but in the review, I did notice that the fancier art started in the second book, since this is a collection of books.
By the way, I’ve been reading on the Kindle app of my iPad for some time, but have decided to collect some nice editions of books I like to start reading ‘real’ books again. In looking at TH-cam videos about different editions, I noticed that many books in my mostly older, mostly paperback editions had small fonts and close line spacing. No wonder I switched to a device where I could manipulate the font to suit me! Anyway, the font in this book looks great for reading.
I just picked up my first hardcovers at my local Barnes & Noble yesterday, and I guess this video came to my feed today because of the research I’ve been doing. The books are wrapped in plastic, with some of them having one copy that wasn’t. The only ones I bought were ones that had a copy I could examine. I got two of the books on your shelf (Arabian Nights and Alice in Wonderland).
I appreciate you taking the time to really show the book and compare it to the Everyman edition (another relatively inexpensive, good value set of books). I’ll grab it the next time I go to the store. Thanks a lot1

You may have answered my question in your comparision, but I think W. W. Denslow only illustrated the first book and John R. Neill did the rest, I wanted to see if those were included in this edition. Does it clarify that somewhere in the contents?

Nice review! I'm so disappointed to have missed the Emerald City of oz. Hopefully one comes up for a reasonable price. Does b&n intend to release a book in the series for 11-15?

Denis Poisson that would be unfortunate. Ah well, gives me a good excuse to not buy the b&n.
Have you seen the read aloud dad blog? I've purchased many of his illustrated classics recommendations for my children's library. www.readalouddad.com
This is a lovely oversized edition of the three eb white books, and the only nice edition of trumpet of the swan I've seen. 9780062853523
Regarding the ladybird books, I'd recently discovered they were release in German and have been collecting them for the children! They are decades old, but the quality is so amazing the ones I've received all still read perfectly. A beautiful quality book is a real joy.
Anyhow, just wanted to share some thoughts. Thanks for the nice channel.

If you go to the Book Depository website and type in 'Wizard of Oz (Barnes & Noble Collectible Classics: Omnibus Edition) : The First Five Novels' it should come up. £21 at the moment.
