Really like your videos mate. It surprises me how little content PSVR2 gets on TH-cam. Getting the headset 3 weeks ago was a game changer for me. So much so that I struggle to go back to normal games. I Understand now why people who get it are so passionate about it. The immersion is next level. It’s a fantastic product.
Just a shame we are not getting the games we deserve and to be honest, vr needs to sell 10 fold and some, for any type of games we want. I love lots of the games available but feel bit short changed. Also, I think there’s many players like me, who can’t really play standing up, for various reasons and again, we miss out on many games because they don’t work well, seated.
@ yeah I hear what you are saying. I think for people who paid full price it is really annoying. I picked one up for £320 and there are tons of games on it for me that are new. So in that sense I feel the value. Hopefully the price drop will boost sales and make Sony push more software.
@@FizzWizard yeh, we can hope, I guess. At least make ALL psvr1 compatible with psvr2. And yeh, I paid £570 on day 1 for horizon bundle. I'd LOVE to see the Oblivion remaster on PSVR 2. Unlikely since Microsoft owns them and only really want to go multi-platform to make money, and there isn't enough money in VR. Then again, I never thought PSVR 2 would get Beat Saber (and a free upgrade no less!), so stranger things have happened.
Not that its triple A but have you heard any more info on taskmaster psvr2? They confirmed it was coming , but it's been 3/4 of a year since I've heard anything.
Still want NHL, MLB, maybe Spyro, or Ratchet and Clank. If they want to rejuvenate it and let it die a slow death then make it backwards compatible possibly.
Personally I think Sony should help fund some Independant developers. So without buying them up they could help support them for a fraction of the price and we get some unique games. All those developers need is to have enough money to pay a yearly wage to pay the bills so they can work on projects full time without worrying about keeping the lights on, and then making money from the final game. We have seen some cracking games from single devs. Sony doesn't need to spend millions on individual games (many modern AAA games costs as much to make as a high end film).
Sony's actually already doing this. IIRC they funded the last year of development for Legendary Tales, and I'd bet they fully or partially funded quite a few other indie VR titles. One of the most infuriating things about Sony's totally inept marketing/messaging around PSVR 2 is that they don't even talk about the things they're doing to support the headset. They've never even publicly admitted that they paid Capcom for the Resident Evil VR modes.
Thank you for talking about this. So many people have a defeated hopeless mindset about the headset's future and they have a right to feel this way BUT I believe like you there is a high chance Sony will make a comeback by learning from their mistakes and get back on track.
I am very excited to see what Ace Combat 8 will look like. In case you weren't aware, the director of the series mentioned that there will finally be news/reveal of Ace Combat 8 sometime this year to coincide with their anniversary. If they were to show off PSVR2 support during that reveal, that'd be incredibly hype. It would just make sense considering how much everyone, like myself, loved Ace Combat 7 and it's VR missions.
That's exciting! Also worth mentioning that there was a twitter exchange sometime over a year ago between Sony's Shuhei Yoshida (now retired) and the producer or director of the Ace Combat series. Shu basically said "Can't wait to play Ace Combat 8 in VR 😉" to which the Ace Combat guy basically said "🤫"
That would be cool, but I've already put over 400 hours into Skyrim VR. What I'd like to see more is the Oblivion Remake get a VR mode, as well as the new Elder Scrolls game.
I didn't realise until the other day that the PS5 version of Hitman I bought(the Hitman 1,2,3 bundle) came with a free VR2 mod code, so I don't need to buy the VR upgrade. I bought it off ebay, sealed. Feels like a bargain now! 😊
Same, I've been saying that since it was announced. I've literally held off playing it just in case. I could now play the UEVR mod on PC, but not sure it will be good enough to be worthwhile, I'm not that keen on VR mods.
Also worth noting that sometime over a year ago there was a twitter exchange between Sony's Shuhei Yoshida (now retired) and the lead producer of the Ace Combat series where Shu basically said "Can't wait to play Ace Combat 8 in VR 😉" and the Ace Combat producer pretty much said "🤫" I hope the recent increase in sales due to the discounts helps convince Sony to add more support. Other people probably took advantage of the discounts of the console itself instead of the accessories.

Even in the discount game, PSVR2 is more expensive than PS5. And let’s not forget KPI’s. The greedy Sony executives didn’t put a discount out of the kindness of their heart.
One of the reasons they bought Firesprite is because they were making Horizon Call of the Mountain. I'd love to see Sony pick up some more VR studios, but they've had bad luck with recent pickups (Bungie is a mess, Firewalk crapped the bed with Concord, and even Firesprite has been a lot of drama without much results). And they're in the middle of investing heavily in FromSoft. I'd love to see them revive the King's Field series as a hybrid game, or make a VR Armored Core title.

Batman was made from a first party studio of meta so of course that was exclusive. Ac was only exclusive because up until this year devs only thought money can be made on quest but now finding out that's not true at all. If it was truly an exclusive for quest, there is absolutely no reason to ask this.
