On transverse engines like this car, 4th gear has less resistance through the gearbox because it just goes straight through the gear box straight to final drive, unlike all of the other gears, 4th gear isn’t on the secondary shaft in the gearbox. It’s on the same shaft as the input and output shaft creating less resistance for the gear, and I think that’s why it feels like it pulls stronger in 4th
Or 4th is simply 1:1 ratio

I have owned a lot of high performance cars and a modified EP3 is one of the most entertaining cars out there. They handle really well just like a go-cart.
Nepalese Man they really don’t tho they understeer like fuck even stock ones if u “really drive them”
They handle better with suspension mods and tracking set up

@@jasonboyle7203 I had bilsteins, strut braces and lsd. I was running naturally aspirated 258bhp. My engine work was done by Guy CPL racing Kent. I enjoyed my EP3 more than my present Evo IX running 520bhp.
Kamy K A nice place to test a cars handling or under steer levels is a roundabout and my EP3 handles very well even when imtyres are screeching. Owned for over 18 months last time I drove it hard was today. Go Kart like handling literally you can yank at the steering wheel. I ask to some quality rubber on e.g. pilot sport 4.
I loved my Hondas back in the days. Still missing them. 9k rpm all the way...
I’m not a fan of Honda’s and never was. I own a stage 2, 2011 Subaru wrx, but this Honda does not sound rice at all and actually sounds good. This car is a monster and the new owner will happy to own this car.

The Renault rs models are turbocharged from stock you absolute plum.
Funny, I didnt know a RS172/182/192/197 was boosted 🤔 I'm with you Virtuoso23. Most turbos run out of steam at around 7k unless mapped to the max ,2k before the Vtech kicks in.
The sports are n/a models like the 172 and 182.

Clean EP3s fetch decent money these days, plus BBK, Clutch Kit, Turbo conversion, LSD and other mods. Had some decent money spent on it.

Only way to get your money back is to raffle it. You'd struggle to get 10k if it was for sale, so a nice profit.

Mileage shouldn’t matter if you’re kept it well maintained, in regards of the engine’s internals.
You can take a junkyard honda motor with 300k and boost it, you’re worried about 100k?

I have a pretty heavily modified FK8 type R for track use. I’d trade it in a heart beat for this. Love the sound.
I think it would be nice if you start adding times like 0-100kmh, 100-200kmh of all of these cars because they have quite a large amount of power and it would be nice to see those times.

4th gear in any turbo honda is the sweet gear, it just always feel like it drops into boost perfectly and then pull all the boost all the way to the top

At 11:04 you can hear the boost in 3rd then he changes to 4th and has a little miss then boost level increases you can hear it.
Mid 2000 civics are phenomenal cars that still look good today.

This is actually sus, 4th gear is defs pulling another 25% of spool atleast and owner just avoids the question for some reason but 4th gear 100% making atleast another 50-80HP
