Tbh tin lids are very sharp and when you get cut by it (if it’s done quickly) it’s a clean cut that’s easy to stitch up yourself. Edit, the main problem in infection obviously, especially in jail

I have seen loads of people who have bare copper wire put directly into the plug sockets and wrapped around a single razor blade and dropped into a jug of cold water to boil it for making noodles and coffee and hot chocolate etc. And thin wires directly connected into the fluorescent lights in the ceiling and connected to radios instead of buying batteries. Now they have kettles and TVs and power cables for radios so people don't have to do stuff like that but it was worrying messing around with jugs of water, copper wire, live sockets and trying to get the nerve to risk electrocuting yourself.
I’m would say most common weapons would be an actual plug or a prison razor Blade, a Hot kettle is also a favourite of mine or simply buying an actual flick knife, Snooker ball in a sock is also common extra weapons include mops,Brushes,craved Plastic,etc But the most common would be a hot kettle or a prison razor blade works well
Why do they allow inmates kettles, access to certain sharp objects, potential weapons etc. They need to be treated like small children in that regards and it will save lives.
