There ain’t enough words in the world to describe the real you’re talking right here man, big ups to yourself for being such a positive influence to kids on road. So many of the young gs are too proud to drop their egos or rep to put themselves first, but they need to see if their bredrin cares more about how you look than how you’re looking after your life, how the fuck can they care? So many times I’ve been in that court dock or that cell beating myself wondering why the fuck I didn’t just say nah allow this you man do what you like but I ain’t on that, and you can never get that choice back when you abuse it. Your comment, about the shame or whatever not mattering 5-6 years down the line compared to being locked is too true.
100% agree about the waiting. I was in jail a month ago just for a couple days but waiting for 3 hours to go to court in a small room with 30 idiots talking dumb shit almost drove me crazy
The van cubicle he's referring to was called the sweatbox in my day. Never experienced such a headache after travelling for 3-4 hours when i got shipped out. Worst feeling I tell you

Felt so sad, ashamed, angry and scared for him. Really pray it will be a decisive moment for him. Praying God protects him there too. And thanks for being real, open, honest and visionary for our UK youth.
I think you should ask yourself what could you of done to prevent this ...for example move areas not letting him go out unless hes going to extra curriculum activities or work im saying this because i was in the same position and these things would of helped

I got linked some brand new HMP jeans from a bredgrin in reception, had them for few weeks but a mardy screw clocked them in my pad when I wasn’t wearing them and took them back! Cus you couldnt have jeans when on remand! Man wanted to take them tings home!! Lol 😂😂

When my son was in high school he was put in a program to guide kids who have behavioural issues, one of the activities they did was a day visit to prison to experience what it actually looks like and that scared him straight. The first comment he made about that visit when he came home was the smell, he said it smells really bad and everyone just looks so scary. That experience has stuck with him so deeply he's stayed out of trouble which I am so grateful for, I wonder if they still have that program going today because it may not work for everyone but it kept at least one kid from going through the prison system.

Funny how everyone's different. I remember being told I was being remanded and just laughing to myself. In the court cell, the sweatbox, reception, holding cell, on the wing. Just laughing. Couldn't believe it, but I had this stupid feeling of like, I'm up for the challenge and this is going to be an interesting experience; something I could write about one day. This makes me different from the people I grew up with, because now I'm interesting. Nope. It's just prison. It's not good. You are different from people you grew up with (maybe, unless they're in pen too), and it's not interesting. It's boring. I didn't cry until the day they took me back to court and I was let back out into the real world.
