Sorry but this does not fit a 2012 wrx sti, my oil cooler doesn’t even fit between the bumper crash bar and radiator, the lower bumper support panel has to be removed completely which wasn’t mentioned anywhere and the oil lines seem like they have to run under and almost against the exhaust to fit on to the sand which adapter. This is not a direct fit kit and I feel ripped off for the price honestly, this should fit straight on with no issues!

I'll leave links to both product pages below. Is it possible you simply received the wrong kit? Both units do have individual installation guides to account for differences. The installation on my 2012 GVF STI is not going so well. Turns out it has a built in oil cooler. Do i get rid of the existing oil cooler, then install the sandwich plate? Also, the mounts did not fit that perfectly for my car. I had to make some minor changes. For people planning on buying this thing, make sure your STI matches the one on this video.

does this kit still fit if you have after market headers? like perrin performance headers. the oil lines look like they barley fit with the stock headers.
Hello A. N. , Any of our thermostatic sandwich plates have a 1/8" NPT port (with plug) for sensors/oil feed/etc. Any of the rear mounted thermostatic plates have two of these ports :)
i think when i get this ill have to figure out how to relocate the location of this cooler. i have a big ass front mount intercooler which covers the location of where this cooler should be mounted. =[

Will this work if you have the Mishimoto performance radiator too?
Yes, this will fit with the Mishimoto radiator as well.
Is it worth getting an oil cooler for extra reliability for daily driving, I also take it on canyon runs once in a while!
An oil cooler would help ensure that your oil temps stay as low as possible and would help prevent any kind of overheating issues you might run into.
Do these fit the 2015+ sti models? And is it possible to mount the cooler on the upper side where the hella horns are?
This kit would not be compatible with the 2015+ STI models.
What if I have your front mount intercooler for my 2006 sti, where should I put the oil cooler?
The oil cooler would not be compatible with a FMIC, the cooler would have to be relocated from the designed location
How do I change oil after install the kit? it will remain oil inside the cooler.

Will this fit the legacy gt or Outback XT turbo?
While the cooler might attach to the engine the mounting points for the cooler will be different on the Legacy and Outback.
What’s the fitment of this with your FMIC kit?
We do have a note about this on our website, the oil cooler is not compatible with vehicles equipped with the FMIC.
