Scatman is smiling down on Arif kinchen.
Frank Todaro has got Starscream down. Chris Latta would be proud of him.
Yeah they both did great. Poor Gregg Berger though. He will always be Grimlock and Skyfire, but his Cliffjumper and Spike weren't great.
I feel the same way, as they would also feel proud of them, and Frank did do a spot on Impression of Chris Latta's Starscream, Wheeljack, Sparkplug and Reflector, and Arif S. Kinchen also did a spot on impression of Scatman Crothers's Jazz.
Absolutely agree! When I watched in the theater, I was floored when I heard how accurate they were!!!
Yeah My Friend!
Kudos to Megatron for not leaving Cybertron without a tractor beam. LOL 😂
RIP Casey Kasem & Scatman Crothers
"Aww... leakin' lubricant!" 😂
Let's not forget Chris Latta either
@@sinsear1071 yeah my bad I prob forgot a bunch of folks, I was pretty baked lol
Frank Welker as Megatron dressing down Frank Todaro as Starscream had me in tears! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
He’s like a crotchety old grandpa scolding his grandson for wanting to skip school lmao
Some irritable people calm down as they get older, but Megs here sounds more aggressive than he did in the original!
@@kamencj 🤨
@@kamencj Grow up
Frank Welker and Peter Cullen reading together once more. All that needs to be said! My childhood! ♥️♥️💯😎💪
This made me smile again as it did when I was a kid
Is it just me or does Frank Welker’s Megatron sound scarier now than he did 40 years ago? 😅
The scariest childhood cartoon villain by far... Megatron... Just the name alone. You feel it.. "Don't mess with this guy."🥰🥰🥰
I actually had fun seeing this in the theater
Yeah, i get that it should be free for everyone, but those who went to see it in the theater had to pay for it, this is free. But it'll be nice to see it again at home.
Theater!???
@@Vexcenot, it was marketed at the theatre and was exclusive there.

FACTS 💯 🐻
I've probably said this 100 times now, but hearing Peter Cullen voice IronHide after all these years is the most nostalgic feeling. He is meant to be Prime, but IronHide has been so many other actors, it's nice to hear him again!
The prospect of seeing as well as hearing Peter Cullen on the Big Silver screen was all the motivation I needed.
Chris Latta, Ken Samson, Casey Kasem, John Stephenson Scatman Crothers and Don Messick would have loved to see this.
Don't forget about Wally Burr, who directed the VO on the orginial Transformers and Transformers : The Movie. May he rest in peace!
It was an honor to watch this with you, Mr. Frank and Mr. Arif. You guys hit the voice acting roles and did a homerun!
R.I.P Chris Latta
@@matthewskudzienski888 I can imagine him smiling down with those badass shades he would wear during his comedy routines.
If Corey Burton was here, this would’ve been perfect.
And Victor Caroli the original Narrator. Is still alive and working. He even narrated the Machinima Titans Return series in 2017
It was an honor meeting you, Mr. Gilvezan! You still play Bumblebee amazingly after 40 years!
I loved seeing Frank Welker do his Soundwave (Doctor Claw) voice before the vocoder process
5:43 I love how Todoro drew back when Welker snapped at his character. They were eyeing each other too while talking. They def had great chemistry which is why both Megs and Star were always my favorites.
They might not like me saying this but Megs and Star elevate each other in terms of entertainment value (not so much in what they try to achieve lol).
11:11 And when Megs says “Use your imagination”, in the original episode, he sounded annoyed, but here, Welker says it in a smiling, mocking way. Love that too!
Thanks to all the VOs for giving us this rare gift of watching you voice all of our beloved characters in real time.
Mr. Frank Welker is killing it as always! I like how his Megatron in this read is somewhere between the Prime and G1 iteration. A very unique blend of the two.
Also a bit of his work in the 2007 game. Very scratchy, gravelly, you either hate it or you like it.
RIP Scatman Crothers. Jazz was my very first Transformer. Got him from saving and mailing in box tops.
Box tops from what?
@@MrJahbeezCereal box tops.
@@MrJahbeezI can't believe I'm nineteen and am feeling this old.
It's like coming home to a Saturday morning in 1985... ❤🩹
starscream voice is pretty dang close to Chris Latta. Awesome.
Yeah, Todaro did a GREAT job with the character. Very faithful to the original.
It’s strange how for 2 decades after G1, the new shows and video game Starscreams sounded Nothing like the original, even when they marketed they would.
It’s nice to see (and Hear!) the recent voice actors are finally sounding like Starscream.
Frank Todaro nailed it as Starscream and Wheeljack.
Thank you Frank T!!!
Everyone’s rightfully praising Kinchen and Todaro for seamlessly slipping into the group with some excellent impressions that they made their own, but I also have to give props to Berger and Eiding being complete bros. Their characters aren’t even in this episode and they’re helping to cover, mostly for other actors who are no longer with us.
Arif is a good fit for Jazz. Same goes for Frank Todaro as Starscream. Good job guys.
Thanks Frank and Arif for doing the live stream for us!!!!!!!!
Insane just how little Dan's Bumblebee voice has changed
probably the best experience of this table read was hearing Peter Cullen's more modern Optimus Prime voice.
In case you were wondering, when Peter did Optimus' voice for the first 2 seasons, he played him with a more jovial, youthful/heartfelt tone, emphasizing a more father-like figure. It wasn't until the 1986 movie that they revamp optimus' character to be more stoic and leader like with a more serious voice that we all know today.
So, seeing him now use that voice in the first episode is such a novelty. I can express how cool it was hearing him.
However, he’s still just as kind and loveable, even with the voice change.
Yeah but This shows from the timeline after Beast wars LOL(8:43)
It was a 20 year jump from 1985 to 2005 so it made sense that OP sounded older in the movie.
@@zyloproductions4870 Peter is a beast
Yeah, No matter how old he gets, he still sounds amazing.
Yes, so happy this will be available to watch at home! Can't wait to see this again!
What better way to celebrate 40 years of an iconic franchise than a table read from the cast themselves. Absolutely enjoyed this.
Happy 40th Transformers. Here's to many more.
Brilliant! I was especially impressed by Frank Todaro's dead-on Starscream - truly honoring Chris Latta. Only two regrets: (1) I wish they'd found a way for Frank Welker to have a modulator on for Soundwave, and (2) I wish we'd had an opportunity for a little Gregg Berger Grimlock. Outstanding job, everyone -- it's as if it were 1984 all over again!
05:29 - 05:49 Perfect performances of Todaro & Welker 😄😄👏👏
About teared up. The care & love these greats put into our heroes from long ago, has been with us all this TIME. But to actually watch it
Love this, I'd re-watch all of G1 in this format, absolute legends!
This was incredible! I loved Gregg Berger making Spike sound like a whiny 8 year old! 😆
8yo on an oil rig! 😁
Back in the day after school this was my cartoon to watch
Frank Todaro really gives it his all!
Wow, this is cool. These were the best.
This is the version I wish Michael Bay had done. Every last one of these men are VO legends. RIP to the originals no longer with us.
Michael Bay did the best he can and the movies was successful in reviving the dying franchise by bringing new fans and money.
While I love G1, it is a fact that it is impossible to do a live-action movie with this version. From the story to the designs, they just aren't fit to the live-action format. The live-action movie can't focus on the Transformers because the cost for the CGIs is just too expensive. They would run out of money just for making 10 minutes of the movie. The G1 designs aren't suited in live-action. They would look like awful fake plastic toys like in the Bumblebee movie and Rise of the Beast. Bayverse designs are the best for the live-action movies. They actually look like metallic alien robots.
G1 designs are best suited for animated cartoons and comics.
I mean…yeah, I guess that’s true. Personally…I love both designs, Bayverse and Knightvers.
LEGENDARY. Til All Are One
Any chance of also showing the interviews that accompanied this when it was in cinemas please?
"ROLL OUT!"
Cullen, Kinchen and Welker brought quite some epic voices to the table!
My childhood thank for posting this
Upon seeing the event in theaters, I was most surprised that Peter Cullen's regular voice was NOT his Optimus Prime voice! LOL 😆
Frank Todaro and Frank Welker are 2 super talented mad men, i frickin love them 😂
! This was fantastic! Loved seeing it in the theaters , and I loved we got a chance to see it again along with the amazing voice talents of Frank Todaro and Arif Kinchen!!! You guys did such an amazing work,. It was fantastic watching the new generation working along side the legendary voices themselves.
This is exactly what the little kid in me needed to see and hear!
Megatron: "NEVEERR!!
I like how Frank Welker had figures he voices on his part of the table, and Peter Cullen had some on his side too.
Frank Todaro did a terrific job as StarScream
Wow! At almost 49 years old, my inner 9 year old shouts with triumph and glee at witnessing this awesomeness!!!
R.i.p. Scatman Crothers and Chris Latta
Man I loved seeing the whole gang back together. It was also great seeing the new faces too like Arif and Todaro!
oooh Paul Eiding does a good job as Thundercracker (RIP John Stephenson).
Frank V Frank has got to be one of the highlights of the presentation! I could listen to those two all day!
This is so awesome! Thank you again 40 years later! 👌
I watched this tape at least 5 times a week growing up. I know every line, in perfect cadence.....this gave me goosebumps and I was sitting on edged like a child waiting to open their birthday gift. So excited and not knowing what to expect. My day has been made! You all continue to be my heros.
I had a good time watching this in the theater, it was nice to hear the characters original voices again, Frank Todaro killed it as Starscream and Wheeljack , it was great to watch this again !
G1 Optimus has a distinctly different voice from modern incarnations. It’s a higher register and he talks faster. I always thought it was just Peter Cullen’s voice aging, but here he is, doing the G1 voice.
Lol I love how the first time we see Frank, he’s got 2 pairs of glasses on
It's nice that the kids will get to see how the pros do it.
My childhood thanks you for the hard work gentlemen.👍💯
Hearing the original voices ate awesome and the newcomers do a great job. But let's no forget to mention the freakin' AMAZING score! For a cartoon, it fires off on all cylinders.
I don't like Starscream's voice in the new shows. No disrespect to Steve Blum but his voice just isn't suited for Starscream.
@@miyako1909 I think Steve Blum is suited to the specific versions of Starscream they were going for (more sneaky and calculating sounding).
Honestly I think Chris Latta very much could have done a voice very similar to Blum’s (or Charlie Adler’s) if asked considering his vocal range.
Don’t believe me? There’s some videos of him doing stand up, and I was shocked how deep his voice could go!
Because most of those VAs weren't trying to be the original G1 Starscream.
@@garyconstanza3120 But some were, and failed badly.
This is so great, but melancholic at the same time with our fallen comrades unable to repise their iconic voices.
Thank You, @Frank Todaro and @Arif S. Kinchen!
Frank Welker can still do Rumble so accurately!!!
I went and saw this in the theater. Best anniversary event I could have asked for. I used to come home after school every day and watch Transformers, and it was a treat to see the actors performing their characters after all this time.
Old school never looked this good in theaters!
Finally a worthy successor to Chris Latta. We need a new series that continues their earth adventures set in the 80's.
"This Deception has the right idea!! Frank would make a great successor!...MWAAahaaaHAaahaaaa!!" (In Latta voice of course😉👍)
Peter Cullen and Frank Welker carried and even though the audio dub was bad in some parts everyone did a good job
This is absolutely awesome!!! You have no idea! Thank you to everyone!!
I just want an ongoing series of Frank Todaro reacting to things.
Had a good time seeing this in the theater. Was surprised at Soundwave’s “non-synth” voice and how much it sounded like the Bayverse movies. Frank Todero is a fantastic classic Star Scream (Chris Latta). And Frank and Peter have still got it.
Amazing to see all the legendary voices still making the magic work!
Frank, make Rumble laugh again! Too funny
I have 48 old., this episode with the original voice 40 later , just insane 🤘🤘🤘
This made my whole life complete!!!!!! ❤
Cliffjumper being from Chicago 😂
I was glad I went and saw this in a movie theater about a month ago G1 for life
Brings back a lot of memories.
Thanks so very much 👍🏼
Absolutely loved this!! So much fun!! I remember watching this as a kid when it premiered in 1984. So many iconic voice actors!
I saw this in the theater and that’s what made it special!
I loved this in theater and love it again on TH-cam. Thanks to all who made this possible, both old cast and new!
Just happy that I can watch this. Frank Welker! And everyone of course :)
The man voicing bumblebee.......
Casey casem would be very proud!
It was cool seeing this in theaters. Please upload the outtakes that aired after this table read. Had a good laugh watching those. 😂
God bless these men
I really wish Corey Burton was there to read for Shockwave and Spike
Great performance after all these years. Thanks for the memories
So many fans here! If you haven't read Dan Gilvezan's "Bumblebee & Me: Life As a G1 Transformer", it's a must! You'll hear wonderful stories about all of these beloved G1 voice actors.
I’m enjoying watching is classic voice actor. And alive and well
Thank God I can watch this at home
What a cast! Man does this bring back memories! Im happy i didnt know who was behind the "wheel" when i was 12 years old! HAHAAHAA
This is so awesome! Love how I've seen most of this voice actors in person at various TFcon's over the years.
This 2024 is year by Robots.
Transformers G1 (by 40 Anniversary at Transformers)
Gundam Seed Freedom (Anime sequel by Gundam Seed & Destiny)
Transformers One (New Movie with Origins by Megatron & Optimus Prime before War For Cybertron)
I'm glad to see your faces with sounds .. my childhood😢..we want another episodes like this... thanks guys....
I wanted to see this in theaters, but watching it now makes me happy. They all did any amazing job, but Peter looks so happy to voice this Prime over the live action. I love it.
I enjoyed this one the cinemas more than expected, It was an unique experience ❤
I went with my G1 vintage Jazz Figure
I thought the late great Chris' latta played wheeljack. Wow
He did.
I saw this in the theaters and what an experience it was my cousin who grew up watching the series in the 80's he loved watching Transformers the series, he passed away a few years ago and I knew he would of loved to see this on the big screen I went to see this in his honor and he taught me the world of Transformers. In the theater they shown all 4 episodes including the cast interviews, toy commercials of the generation 1 Transformers, bloopers and behind the scenes of the whole show.
tears and cheers theres to the next 40 years and beyond!
Guys Thank You Made For Me This Video!!!!! You Are The Best Forever! My Childhood Heros!
Amazing
Absolutely amazing
This was epic! Everyone here was fantastic! Thank you for not only this gift but for the years of joy your voice acting has brought to all of us Transformers Fans!
Absolutely amazing. You can still hear the passion in their voices. Please do more of these while the legends are still with us!!!
