Do you think you could do like a dlc compilation for a ww1 sabaton song but only historically accurate weapons like smile and no guns from other theaters of the war I haven’t played the game so I don’t know if this is a dlc or multiplayer great vid btw
This game shows it well enough. That the Germans had advancements in equipment, that other troops did not have. First Semi Auto weapon. Field Kitchens , Helmets. Etc. Even in WW2 the equipment was advanced and ahead of the curve. Bismarck, had many features we see today, Jets as early as 1938. Even the American main BattleTank is a Glorified King Tiger. Yes we took much of that was captured and learned from it. Even the Americans helmet was patterned after theirs.

The first tanks were British, the most advanced of the first world war were FRENCH. During World War 1, Germany used a well designed but ultimately cumbersome long rifle with sights that couldn't be set less than 400m, while the British and US adopted rifles with far better sights, the British doubling the magazine capacity. By world war 2, all the germans managed to adopt was a shorter version of the same bolt gun they already had. (I.e. not any better than anyone else). At the start of WW2, german tanks had 2 features that made SOME of them relevant. Radios and cupolas. Other than that German tanks from before 1942 were outmatched in every respect. By the end of the war german tanks were strategically top heavy, mechanically too unreliable, and were so unergonomic its hard to even believe. Your claim that the M1 Abrams is like a King Tiger is insane. The only feature german tanks uniquely had that modern ones have is spaced armor plates, and even then the Soviets and Americans also were aware of these uses. The king tiger is strategically immovable, underpowered, has no gunner's independent sights, and poorly welded armor. Is it a powerful tank, sure, but that doesnt mean half the crew isn't blind and the other half is struggling to figure out how to get it somewhere. There is no feature the Abrams has that it directly gets from the Tiger 2. It has more in common with a Sherman. Jets. The most advanced jet fighter of ww2 was the Gloster meteor. It was from Britain. The Me262 was first but only by 2 years, and in that 2 years all they managed to do with it was barely outperform a P51 mustang. The Me262 is a powerful and interesting plane, ill give you that but still, not the only jet on the block. In terms of small arms, yeah the germans were ahead at certain times. In ww1 they fielded an SMG. Nice. So did the Italians and the Americans were almost finished with one. In ww2 they developed GPMGs. Nice. Still couldn't give standard infantry autoloaders until 1943. Developed the assault rifle. Okay thats a good one. In just 3 years after it was introduced the Soviets developed a rifle far far better. You've fallen for the history channel and its constant narrative that Germany was always this technological powerhouse of innovation when in reality it was not. Germany had inferior tanks, inferior radar, and inferior ships. They had superior u-boats, impressive aircraft, and innovative small arms. But Germany had most of its army on foot or horseback for 1939 to 1941. Its just another country. Thats all it is, dont speak so mystically about it like they were always on the cusp of advancement and the entant or allies were always playing catch up. I used to think that was true. But its not.

I think BF1 Apocalypse is the DLC, I have played it before, and there's not many battlefields that line up with the Sabaton songs sadly :(
