@@fabio40 I met her at a boutique clothing store in Colorado called Gorsuch and she said hello to me and every other person in the store. She was cracking jokes with the staff the whole time and even bought everyone champagne because they were only bringing it to her. Just because she likes nice things and carries herself a certain way does not mean she is rude to regular people.

It's crazy to see how far Mariah has come into her career and still not lost that spark for music she's always had and she's finally been getting appreciated (after years of hate, which people still don't get over)for being an icon that doesn't just sing but writes and produces her own records!!!
Must have been Hal directing. He had a great knack for the ironic insert shot-whether it was the thermometer gag or a shot of a clock hidden somewhere in the studio when one of Dave’s jokes or a bit went on too long-that was so analogous to the quirky spirit of the show.

I think it’s obvious she lied here. It’s since been proven she was born in 1969. She was under a lot of control at this time.

@@donia6290 because Tommy coached her to. When he first signed her they said she was born in 1970 because being born in the 70s made her seem younger than being born in the 60s. She has never acknowledged her age since divorcing Tommy. This is where the “I don’t acknowledge time” and “it’s the anniversary of my 12th birthday” schtick comes from. It’s awkward so she avoids it. Anyway, it has literally been proven that she’s born in 1969 so it’s not even really up for debate. She lied here. Whether you accept it or not.

I did some work with her in the 90's with photographer, Daniela Federici. She would bring her dog to the sets. I remember she introduced her Jack Russel terrier to me as Jack. She was so young and so sweet then.

All the comments over the years about how cold it was in studio and I've never seen a thermometer shot. I get that it is to keep the hot TV lights cool. Oh my goodness, it was freezing in there!

Mariah's comment about singing in cold is so true. I remember hearing a story about Aretha Franklin when she performed together with Mariah and how Aretha shut down production because of Air Conditioning. It dries out the voice!
