I have acne and am super insecure about it. I’ve been learning to kinda ignore and my friends never point it out. They usually want me in pictures but accept that it makes me uncomfortable. But a kind lady pointed out my acne and recommended a treatment. I’m willing to try it but watching your videos is making me feel better about my skin.

Wow I literally never leave a comment on TH-cam BUT I, as a fellow acne sufferer myself, just needed to say something here for once.
ALL of those comments recommending stuff to you really get to me. I understand where those people are coming from but I am sick and tired of everyone being an expert on a topic when ONE THING worked for them. She has probably „struggled“ with acne for a while now and seems pretty content with her skin. Stop playing expert and leave people be!
I first followed you on Instagram and I really appreciate everything you do for the acne community! You really deserve better than this and I really really hope you don’t let those comments get to you, Lavinia!
Just know: you are making such a big difference in the acne community and you helped me so much with accepting myself and my skin! Thank you for being such a positive influence in a world where negativity is sooo widely spread! ❤

Hey Lavinia, don't know if you'll read this but I never leave comments on videos so this is really something for me! I absolutely love your content and your channel has become a comfort place for me. I've historically had really problematic skin but its become a lot worse and leaning towards uncontrollable these days so I've been pretty down about it. I used to find so much in joy in makeup but my skin just overwhelms me sometimes to the point that I don't feel like makeup would even help me feel better anymore so I just haven't been wearing any. This came out such a perfect time so thank you so much. I really appreciate you :) Sending you lots and lots of love!

I'm a guy but I still saw this lol. Really interesting how makeup can change how you look completely different! You did a wonderful job. Honestly your even beautiful without any makeup, so good genetics to be naturally pretty haha. I once had a girl knock on my door and when I opened it, it was someone doing the door to door political stuff, but her face looked like a pizza with acne. Regardless, I saw how cute she was behind all that. It's definitely easier to compliment a persons beauty, but I understand how insecure and self conscious it makes people feel, so I don't down play their suffering.

Hey Lavinia, I don't know whether you will see this but I watched your videos since you started Hyram recommended skin care products..I also have similar acne prone skin like yours so I tried your routine with cerave and neutrogena which actually made my skin better..but later again my skin started to get mess again and I had lot of acne..I figured that for dry skin people salicylic acid sometimes trigger more acne because its drying the skin..so I focused on only the minimal products like double cleansing, moisturizer and sunscreen which made it a bit better and only used alpha arbutin and vitamin c as the treatment..I also went to a dermatologist who prescribed a antibiotic course..and my skin is better now..i still do get acne when my periods are near but they are in control most of the time..Since I had seen your skin got better earlier I think you should also use minimal products like earlier you used to do..and also make up made my skin worse it still does so I try not to use makeup as much as I can..I loved your reviews and it was what made me to buy certain products so I thought of sharing this with you..
P.S I also only cleanse at night now in the morning I only wash with water I figured cleansing two times a day also bit harsh for my skin..

I'm 26, and the most makeup I've worn in my entire life has been mascara and, only recently, lipstick. A couple weeks ago, I felt like.. "I kinda want to wear makeup and embrace more of my feminine energy." But I REALLY don't want to cover my acne. I've never felt insecure about it, and trying to go through all the steps to cover it felt unnecessary. However, no matter how much I looked up "How to wear makeup WITHOUT covering acne," all I could find was "How to cover your acne." Nooo that's not what I wanted. I've only found you so far. I don't have Tic Tok so maybe there are way more people on there, but please. Can we get more content like this (from more creators)? Can we normalize this kind of content? Seriously 😮‍💨 But I love this. You're so amazing for coming out here and showing us how it's done 💁🏽

Completely agree with this comment, I have dry skin, with acne n I stopped using niacinamide, salicylic acid and started using almond oil to remove makeup, Nivea soap to wash off the oil, hyaluronic serum on wet face and topped it with a moisturizer. Evening I use lactic acid n moisturizer. My skin literally changed in 3 weeks. Its not dry anymore, mostly healed, just left with scarring that I need to fix. Gonna start microneedling for the scars.. I realized my skin hates niacinamide n salicylic acid. Both ingredients are too drying for me. Lactic acid had been a blessing. I really think we shud all pair down our routines to 1 active to be able to tell if it's the one or not. Also my skin hates all things Cetaphil n CeraVe. Dries me out . Hope this was insightful

    • @JoanKSX
      @JoanKSX ปีที่แล้ว

      Awww
Yea my skin hates Cetaphil too
I have no idea what to use anymore.
I used Neutrogena Deep Cleaning Liquid before but that's with my skin doctor's prescription to take with Tetracycline antibiotic as well... I'm not sure whether it's because of the antibiotic effect or the cleanser LOL

check a guide with Acne safe products in your skin tone, don’t start with too many products so can check if anything irritates you, never forget sunscreen 🥰🫶🏻

Non comedogenic always check it says that and make sure the ingridients don’t have irritants or something u have had allergic reactions to. Try a light coverage so ure not putting a thick layer on top because u don’t need it and ure always beautiful remeber that ❤

Im sure you come from a good place, but this is a very naive suggestion. I wore make up like 6 years ago and I still have acne. It may work for some people, but many of us acne sufferers don't have it that easy. And yes, we wash our faces and we have spent so much money to help our skin get better, sometimes it just goes deeper than just the surface and it takes alot of work to heal your microbiome and also your mental health as these are very important factors when it comes to healthy skin.

I have so much to say about this video but let me round it up to :
    1. This video was a gift that kept on giving, so much useful info and tips and product recommendations. Just chef’s kiss
    2. You’ve literally MASTERED acne. Most days, i feel like my skin walks me but you literally just… mastered it. I’m in awe. It’s like your videos have rewired my brain in the best way.
    3. Have you tried the rare beauty liquid highlight? Did you like it?
    4. Do you have a discord link? The one in your linktree doesn’t work for me and the previous links are expired 🥲
Keep up the amazing work, you’re amazing !

guys I'm going to save your money and your life all you have to do is read this 🤑🙆🫂🐈👑💃🤔💕You are very brave I never had your confidence it took me until I was in my late 20s to find number 7 it's a green makeup a very smooth and thin makeup that takes all of your redness down it's for blemishes and spots it's sold in the UK at boots and I would grab it if I was you although this girl is trying to help you just use your regular moisturiser then apply boots number 7 airbrush away airbrush away that's what it's called then apply your normal Foundation so nothing changes and no one's making any money just by the green makeup for all the red that is showing
