One thing that I believe goes unnoticed and underrated, is the portrayal of Megatronus. He seems like he’s actually a pretty good guy, it kinda adds even more shame and betrayal when megatron takes his name
I imagine that if a sequel is to be made, which I hope so, and there are any plans to make Megatronus like his other evil counterparts, there is a way. Maybe by explaining why Megatronus’s T-cog looked so unique compared to others even the Primes. Megatronus’s was reddish-purple while all other T-cogs shown were whitish-blue. Maybe Megatronus infused his body with Dark Energon or made a pact with Unicron and that was why Megatronus was so much stronger than all the other Primes and this corrupted his T-cog as a result and in might corrupt Megatronus now. To be clear, this wouldn’t mean Megatronus was fully evil but rather morally questionable. Like maybe he did what he did to make himself stronger to defeat the Quintessons and save Cybertron and was willing to go to extreme means. It would make him more morally complex and could badly influence Megatron to do the same.
I'm OK with this being its own continuity. That being said, Megatron originally overthrowing Starscream helps explain why, in other continuities, Starscream was always trying to take over, but few (if any) other Decepticons did. It wasn't simple jealousy or ambition. He was trying to reclaim what thought was legitimately his by right.
In the Aligned Continuity he was the original leader of the Seekers. Most of them turned to Megatron when he started gaining political influence and later physical power
Not a bad theory. Personally i hope we get to see the dynamic between Megatron and his high command (Wave, Wave, Starscream) develop naturally. Im excited for the drama 🤩
At the end of One, he seemed pretty fine with Megatron's taking over, so maybe in the sequal when Megatron starts beating him he'll begin to develop his resentment and want to regain control.
Oh god - I could see Megatron seeing Starscream as a stand-in for Orion, who he probably recasts in his mind as a troublesome co-commander who was destined to betray him. I can see him thinking on some level he could get it out, but instead of the rage going away, it becomes more brutal and intense until he gets to the point where he's brutalizing Starscream to near death and letting him live because he's going to need another scapegoat to brutalize tomorrow. I can already see the descent into sadism.
That's an interesting take. Even though this is supposed to be its own continuity, I can see this, if it happened in other continuities as well, as providing Starscream motivation - beyond jealosy and ambition - for trying to take over. He sees Megatron as the upstart usurper that took his place, and he wants it back.
I thought before this film that Megatron will either turn evil because of pain pushing him to pursue revenge or greed and thirst for power. It must've been hard for the writers to pick one of these paths to turn D-16 into Megatron but now that he got revenge, the most logical progression especially after that post credit speech about deception and betrayal is to have Megatron be in denial and delusion, thinking he is always in the right, so for the sequels they would either let Megatron progress into an actually true leader of his chosen people trying to uphold loyalty and he continues to hate optimus because he doesn't trust so called leaders - even though optimus has the matrix and was chosen by primus - or they find a legitimate way for megatron to be corrupted by evil maybe something with dark energon or something because I don't see a way where his progression to darkness is natural
@@jjeteuati264 In a weird sense, I can see this being sort of a conflict of Monarchs and Republics, but in this case its more of a Prime vs Autocracy rule. You have the leader by divine mandate, who was chosen honestly for his noble qualities and virture, and you have the leader elected by nature of strength and zeal. Both are going to be pushed against one another, in no small part due to their followers and their own ideals.
The franchise reaches its 40th anniversary this year. And here we have a movie that, perhaps more than any other entry in Transformers, gives us the most perfect depiction of the divide between Optimus and Megatron, and the civil war between their people that will follow. Kudos to everyone who made it :)
The perfect timing alone truly shows how incredibly well they executed Optimus and Megatron's broken friendship and the beginning of their rivalry, all the more of an epic and satisfying viewing experience. They truly knocked it out of the park
Transformers One is actually featured in "The Academy Originals" youtube channel. Its in the conversation now for the Oscars. Good times for TF fans. I guess Transformers fans just gotta be united in making this a box office success
We should start a petition to call Lorenzos own nonsensical head canon the "disaligned continuity" while the rest of us enjoys each set of movies as it's own unique special thing.
lorenzo still be D riding the bayfilms cuz they made lots of money lets be honest if he kept his mouth shut and had no direction over the story and lore everythin would have been great for the tf films in the future.
I mean it does show Optimus and Megatron are going to war to each other but they might have to force to team up when it comes to bigger threat. But I wish this movie is making more money since right now it’s making kinda less. Also Spoilers: No Lorenzo it’s not canon to the Bay Movies since Sentinel Prime is freaking dead.
I think we can move on from that, Lorenzo already confirmed that it’s not connected to the Bay’s Transformers, It’s still praise for it, even though they are people who do complain about the issues with the pacing but it does get the story across.
There are so many inconsistencies that we'd be here all day. 1. There is no mention of the Allspark in this movie or Bumblebee or ROTB. Even though the Allspark was the reason for the Transformers coming to Earth. 2. The Primes. The Primes all died on Cybertron during the Quintesson war. So, how can they be in a tomb on Earth hiding the Matrix? 3. Megatronus, the Fallen. Died along with his fellow Primes. But wait. Didn't he come to Earth to destroy it using the star harvester? And how can he be leading the Decepticons if he's been dead since long before the war? 4. The Matrix overall. There's no mention of it being able to activate a star harvester. Also, it's supposed to be hidden on Earth thanks to the Primes, and Optimus didn't have it until ROTF. So, why does he have it on Cybertron at the start of the war? 5. Unicron and Earth. In the Last Knight, Unicron is revealed to be the Earth itself. So in 1994, he was a totally separate planet, and he wanted to destroy Earth. Which means he wants to destroy himself? 6. Sentinel Prime. He was torn in half by Megatron in ONE, even though he's meant to be alive for DOTM. Also, if everyone in DOTM as this noble, aspirational figure before his betrayal, when why have him been revealed to be a scumbag before the war starts? Why would Optimus reactivate him if he knew not to trust him? Why would Megatron ally with someone he hated so much? And I didn't even go into the inconsistencies of the Bay films themselves.
When D-16 said "I'm done saving you" and dropped orion. My heart sank. The theater went dead silent. But when orion became Optimus prime the entire theater went bazerk! People stood up and were cheering, clapping I was shouting in excitement it was awesome! Edit: look Optimus I'm famous!
I personally think when Optimus fell in the holograms of the primes weren’t needed and it would be. Better if that part was silent when he got the matrix
This was a very good movie. It truly showed the origin of the Autobots, the Decepticons, Orion Pax/Optimus and D-16/Megatron. D-16’s eyes changed from yellow, orange, to red.
I think an interesting way for the OP-Meg’s relationship to go in a sequel is along the lines of what you said. Both start off wanting to turn the other to their side, but whereas Megatron eventually abandons that idea in favor of a blind desire to kill Optimus, Optimus continues to hold that hope while accepting that if he has to kill Megatron for a greater good he will
I actually like that they introduced the Quintessons in TF: One. It will make their next appearance feel less out of nowhere like in most continuities.
This movie gave us another phenomenal Optimus (and of course Alpha Trion originally) quote: “What defines a Transformer is not the cog in its chest, but the spark that resides in their core. A spark that gives you the will to make your world better.” Hearing that instantly made me go “That’s him. That’s my Optimus Prime.”
Lorenzo just needs to be fired entirely. He wants to hold on to the Bay films and it just doesnt work. He knows what made him money and now hes trying to use it in a way that ruins future movies. Over all, I LOVED the film and I hope they take inspiration from the Cybertron games
Seriously, like I respect people’s opinions if they like the movies but they needed to be stopped after the last knight. Yet Lorenzo won’t shut up about it.
@@申月営無営月無営有申 Bayverse stinks, should have stopped after the third movie. I would rather have Transformers as characters instead of juvenile humor, bland bad guys, and awful humans.
Transformers Two: Quintessons return for their energon tax. They are trashed and driven back when the battered Autobots are reinforced by the Decepticons, but soon after the truce breaks down and the great war begins in earnest. Megatron develops his energon flail to counter Optimus' axe. Transformers Three: The reason for why Primus transformed into a planet in slumber "to protect the universe" is revealed: To ensure Unicron likewise stays in slumber. Guided by dark whispers Megatron procures dark energon and corrupts Primus' core with it for more power. Optimus arrives just in time to purge Unicron's influence from consuming Primus' spark (while Megatron fights off Unicron's hold, proclaiming no one will ever control him again). Alpha Trion reveals to Optimus that while Primus can heal it off, it comes at the cost of no longer emitting energon for the next few million years, triggering the exodus.
This actually could have been teased with megatronusis cog being purple, like dark energon. Maybe he sold his soul to the robot devil in exchange for becoming the strongest prime to attempt to defeat the quintasons but died before unicron could get him to uphold his end of the deal
I think the quintessons would be a good way to introduce dark energon in Two. They could be harvesting energon to make it more potent and it's supply is captured by Megatron after he fights them back. Something similar to the games cuz dark energon is found offworld
@@daBananassif we get dark energon in this series i’d love for it to come from off world, for the same reasons stated above: Unicron. I’d also love the trilogy to explore the factions growing into their own, with short or no time skips between movies, and then have to band together to fight a bigger enemy. Who knows, maybe the larger threat (unicron, quintessons, etc) will show them a glimpse into where their battle as autobots and decepticons is heading = total annihilation
Imagine TF Two starts with gladiatorial combat of Megatron beating contestants and allowing the strongest to join the Decepticons while killing the weakest ones. You would have characters like Lugnut, Apeface, and Snapdragon join the Decepticons at the beginning of the movie.
This is what I am hoping happens: - Transformers One: How Optimus Prime and Megatron became enemies. - Transformers Two: Fall of the Quintessons, and/or start of the Autobot/Decepticon War. - Transformers Three: How the Cybertronians discovered Earth, and War for Cybertron. - Transformers Four: How the Cybertronians got to Earth, and Fall of Cybertron.
When i went to see it, The Ending made everyone in the cinema turn into megatron sympathiser They screamed to kill sentinel, to not hesitate, then called Optimus an idiot And started clapping when sentinel eyes shut off for good
To be honest, it's not an easy situation. Did Sentinel deserve to die? Absolutely. He was a horrible person who had an ego far too large and far too dangerous, especially given how he was making deals with the quintessons. But did that mean he SHOULD have died? No. Because as we saw, just because someone deserves that fate doesn't mean it will solve everything. Megs got his revenge, but at what cost? He lost Orion, who was trying to keep him from becoming something he could not go back from. He committed the ultimate act of betrayal in his quest to avenge his idol and the other 13 primes and ended up becoming a monster of his own making, allowing the high guard to start tearing down Iacon.
@@northone2022 I got the same line of thought. I honestly think Orion wanted Sentinel to be put on trial for his crimes instead of immediately butchered by them. He didn't want Iacon's rebuilding to start with an execution, after all.
Lorenzo might as well be poison to the Transformers if he can't let go of the Bay movies, they're over. Let Transformers thrive in a new direction and establish a new continuity.
The great thing about the Transformers franchise is that not every continuity must be connected. That’s why so many different types of fans can enjoy their pick of continuities throughout the franchise.
Orion is the only one that D-16 still has at that point in the movie and was what’s holding D-16 back from succumbing to his own rage and darkness. The moment Orion was shot by D-16’s cannon as well as D-16 seeing no other way to save his brother, let’s go of Orion… letting him fall to the well of Allsparks: A symbol of D-16 fully succumbing to his rage and kills Sentinel. Giving birth to Megatron, and unkowingly giving birth to his soon to be rival: Optimus Prime.
Just saw it myself. The beginning is a bit silly but the rest is peek. Especially the moment our favorite bot begins his transformation into megatron. His rage is the thing that sells it as peek transformers
Of course he is, instead of working with the deceptions to wipe out earth and return cybertron, he’s just straight up betraying his entire race and about to kill their population
I hope to see the Dinobots having Cybertronian modes for the sequel. Elita-1 becoming a more compassionate commander would also be a nice way to see her grow. Sideswipe, Arcee, Chromia, and Sunstreaker being featured more would also be cool as I enjoyed seeing them in the movie despite not being featured much, but props to Chromia for winning the Iacon 5,000!
[Spoiler] I have a scene in my head that makes SP's death darker. D-16 not only rips him apart, he uses his cannon to shatter his golden wings and tosses the pieces to the crowd like a roman emperor throwing coins. The crowds rush and fight over the fragments, thus showing how Megatron is corrupting cybertronian society. Elita and B look on with renewed horror as they realise how he is gaining a following.
PURE BRILLIANCE. I’m just so very happy that there’s something other than just the 86 movie, the War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron, and Devastation games and maybe the Bumblebee movie (Rise of the Beasts was cool and fun, but TF: One is…) that actually make Transformers fans *proud*… I would also find it extremely hard to believe that BayVerse fans would be unhappy with anything continuing in “this“ direction… I never mean to offend, but I really think that’s a silly thing to think, and/or worry about… I would argue that this is borderline “best in franchise”. If they see this course, the future is very, very bright… ‘Til All are One!
@@申月営無営月無営有申Listen, The Bayverse movies were cool but I don't think you understand that set of movies are done. Michael Bay has stepped back as a producer to let other directors make new TF movies. The plan was for them to focus on the new live action TF and the TF One universes. If both of them flop we won't have Transformers period.
I thought it was doing okay counting in before the actual release day it made 9.2m dollars in the us (I forgot how) and then add that with the 25m it made opening weekend if made 34million which broke how much it needed for the opening weekend
A possible way to integrate the quintessons ina sequel that i could see happening is 1) Autobots & decepticons team up in the end to defeat the quintessons, leading to some car-based bots joining the decepticons like the Stunticons while some aerial ones joined the autobots like the aerialbots, or 2) Have the immediate sequel show the quintessons missing and it being recurring background mystery, then in the third movie its revealed they were preparing an invasion fleet.
or the Quintessons decide to take advantage of the brewing rivalries by sending a spy to instigate the war. then, when the war wipes out the population, the Quintessons take over Cybertron.
I do agree that it's simply impossible for Transformers One to fit into the live action Transformers films. Transformers One does set up both the war between the autobots and the decepticons that will ultimately destroy Cybertron, as well as the incomplete quintesson storyline.
another major difference between the other continuities is how Megatronus nobly died a hero fighting to defend cybertron and how he was called just as much of a goody two shoes as the rest of the primes instead of being a traitor to the others, stripped of his name and title, rather that role being filled by Sentinel Nothing
Expect Megatronus T-Cog is purple which could be a hint of dark energon and a hidden deal with unicorn which could further corrupt Megatron which leads Megatron start his search for dark energon and megatronus t-cog allows him to use it.
6:48 "Did anyone else cry when Megs said 'I'm done saving you'" YESSSSSSSS! Ohhhhh my GODDDD that part gave me straight CHILLS! EASILY MY FAVORITE PART OF THE MOVIE
I Just came out from The movie and after i saw this film i only can Say "THIS IS CINEMA" What an Amazing Film it is, so Spectacular. This is My first time going to The Movie and i loved every second that i was there!
I REALLY want there to be a sequel, especially since they said that there would be a sequel if it performs well. Though… it’s not doing to hot this weekend. It didn’t even open up to being #1 at the box office. Man I just want TF to get a W for once :(
Building off of your idea: I love the idea of the 2nd film being a political thriller War for Cybertron, ending with Megatron fully descending into a blood thirsty Megatron and the Autobots making plans to escape to earth. Then the THIRD movie could be focus around the Quintessons taking advantage of the new power vacuum in Cybertron, trying to keep Optimus on Cybertron so they can use the Matrix for free Energon, and the Autobots & Decepticons having to team up to take out a greater evil.
This is the best Transformers movie since the 1986 movie! I can’t wait to show it to my son one day. I think he’ll be lifelong Transformers fan like me.
I love the idea of alien descendants of a long dead machine God fighting a long and brutal war against an alien species big enough strong enough, and advanced enough to withstand a battle with cybertronians like there organic counterpart, with the over all motive to seize the heart original factory or energon. Idk about you but gives off some major 40k warhammer vibes. So much potential. Reminds me of trynids vs space marines.
He’s delusional I don’t know why he’s still have that job after making Steven Caple Jr quit because of that heated argument over “be more grateful for the opportunity”
I have a few guesses about the sequels. One thing to note is that the decepticons will end up outnumbering the autobots in the end, so perhaps some of Megatron's manipulation will be in play to win over the masses. The second movie I think will likely focus on the quintessons and Optimus struggling with his new role in leadership. Megatron will have made several broadcasts to turn the people of Iacon against Optimus by claiming that he (Megatron) brought Sentinel to justice while Optimus tried to protect the betrayer, a half truth that could work on many. Then fighting the quintessons, you'd need to be cold and brutal against them, something a young Optimus is not but Megatron is, and Megatron would try to broadcast Optimus' failure against the quintessons to Iacon to convince them to join the decepticons. Megatron's straight forward success against the quintessons would win more followers to his side, but then there is the great war. Optimus my not be brutal yet, so he may have tried to negotiate with some of the more peaceful and reasonable quintessons for an arrangement that benefits both and ends the conflict. Megatron would see this as yet another betrayal and declare Optimus and all autobots to be traitors to Cybertron, starting the war, leading into the third film where time is skip ahead a bit. Both sides would be in a near even fight, but the autobots are able to hold out due to the location of their bases being on direct energon sources. I don't think dark energon would be used in an origin trilogy, but Megatron would still devise a plan to take control of the planet's core and force to produce enegron only for decepticons. Unbeknownst to him, by doing so he is destabilizing the core. Optimus destroys Megatron's devices and frees the core but is forced to shut it down to prevent it from imploding. Both Megatron and Optimus would blame the other for the "death" of Cybertron and begin planning a way off the planet. With this they could go the path of TF Prime, or G1, or Bayverse on how they leave the planet.
I hope it does well, I know it’s Transformers and animated so a lot of people are gonna write it off probably but i would genuinely love if this got more movies
I think it would be very epic if Tarn shows up, as a major driving force in Megatron’s noble goals turning into something worse. Have him be as one of the new sparks who is similar to Megs in the first act, except even more nuts. However, as the movie goes on, his devotion turns into pure fanaticism and then he decides to try to shank Prime in order to prove himself to his leader. 👀
I really hope that you continue this and make it a trilogy or something. I feel like the next movie should take place something like a 1000 years later after the planet has been at war for centuries. It shows off the desperate fight between the autobots and the decepticons ending in optimus killing megatron. but it finishes on a cliff hanger with Starscream taking command and sound wave recovering megatron's body. The third movie would be soundwave putting megatron back together few (100?) years later and then taking control away from Starscream. but by that point it's already too late because star scream has made a mess of the war and cybertron is in ruins and they have to leave the planet. I'm not sure how the Quintessons would fit into this but I haven't put much thought into it.
I think all the "connected universe" issue comes from them seeing Transformers One as a prequel, meaning that it has to be connected to some pre-existing storyline. In reality it's a prequel to the general Transformers story, but not one continuity in particular. In my opinion, the emotional impact isn't lost if this aren't the exact same Optimus and Megatron we know from previous films. This isn't a Star Wars prequels situation.
It's literally contradicts the bay films. Sentinel dies in one and he also dies in dark of the moon. The only plausible explanation is that they are seperate timelines
I'd love to see that lorenzo guy make a timeline to his "transformers universe" and then it's just him trying so hard to align movies that's clearly separate to one another like an absolute idiot.
Great video! I've seen this movie four times now. You should do a video pointing out all who were in the background and in Iacon City and the Iacon City 5000 race. *SPOILER ALERT!!* The build up with D-16 into Megatron had an Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader vibe. And it started the moment he literally saw Megatronus Prime laying there dead and then the full on transformation ended when he let Orion go and put Megatronus cog into his chest. Really cool! I look forward to the next one.
Lorenzo really needs to wake up and realise people are TIRED of the Bayverse continuity. If anything saying this is connected to them probably hurt it. I was skeptical about seeing it until the reviews started coming out, but I ended up loving it. So did my nephew fwiw.
Best Transformers movie since 1986. I recommend everyone transformers fan or not watch this, it is a good way to get kids into the series, and its an amazing movie for people who grew up watching the original series even if it is a mix of continuities. 1. they should have released this around thanksgiving or Christmas so more people would watch it it needs a theater re release. 2. The Shockwave "abuse" is amazing one of the best parts of the movie that was purely for laughs.
I saw this movie last Sunday and my God, it was absolutely amazing! The movie was such a blast for my friend and I and I was blown away by the scenery. It definitely got a few laughs out of me for sure, but I really appreciate the mature tone set throughout the movie, especially when it gets to the second act and the maturity level reminded me of Transformers Prime with having lighthearted moments mixed in with the darker tones of the episodes and overall storyline. Chris Hemsworth did a phenomenal job as Orion Pax/Optimus Prime and the cast overall was a great pick for the characters. I was happy to see that Alpha Trion finally made his first appearance on the big screen because that has never happened until Transformers One. This movie made me laugh and cry and that’s the kind of Transformers movie I want and love, something full of emotion and in-depth storytelling. I absolutely would love to see a sequel be made to expand on Transformers One because this is something that fans like myself have been wanting for years! Yeah, the movie overall was amazing and worth the wait
This movie made me feel like I was watching Transformers on my Saturday morning cartoons again. Absolutely loved it. One thing about the Quintessons though - I think this movie showed just enough of them to establish them as a threat, and that is all it needed to do. The movie was about Sentinal Prime's betrayal and the effects it had on our main characters. The Quintessons are just a way to further that along. I also don't believe they are necessary to be explained either. For viewers who don't know who they are, they set up a mystery to be solved in a future installment, but that mystery isn't important for the story of this specific movie. The movie is 104 minutes, that's a very small amount of time to tell origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, and the decision to focus on that in particular rather than world building everything was good imo. It allowed them to sprinkle in this stuff for future installments but make sure the focus stayed on Optimus and Megatron.
Saw it for the first time yesterday, and I’m going to watch it again today. I’m so glad this movie doesn’t shy away from the more serious aspects of the series, I was actually surprised with how far they took some of the violence in the film (in a good way). Sentinel stealing Megatronus’ t-cog and his death at the hands of Megatron were on a level of brutality I wasn’t expecting. I really hope this movie does well enough for Paramount to green light the rest of the trilogy, they did a phenomenal job depicting D-16 and Orion Pax’s friendship, I know they’d do amazingly at depicting their growing opposition as Megatron and Optimus, and the repercussions of their conflict.
I think it's safe to assume there will be a point in the sequel where Megatron 'does that thing' to Bee. To show I guess show any trace of D is completely gone.
I watched transformers one in 3d it was so awesome and i love how it sets up that megatron and optimus (d16 and orion) slowly start to get less friendly when they get their cogs, it sets it up so well
One thing that keeps me coming back to every transformer movie is the robot gore. Imagine a human getting ripped apart like Sentinel did with close ups on their stomach. It would NEVER fly unless its an Evil Dead movie. Lorenzo need not worry the live action fans will leave. If theres robo gore; we'll watch it
I can easily see this being a Trilogy. TF2 being the Autobots VS the quintessons and the start of the war with the Decepticons and TF3 being about the war itself.
Watched it twice, once alone and the second with my family (my dad loves the live action films and enjoyed this film), and I’m planning to watch it again with friends this Thursday ❤
The more Transformers caters to G1 and move away from Bayverse the better the franchise will do. I know because I'm 49yrs old. I'm A true fan and make allot of money. I also have a Masterpiece Transformers collection worth over 10k and that's small compared to other collectors.

Well Starscream seemed very "Hurt me Daddy!" in this.😂
@@Fenris30 Starscream has always been a bit of a freak xD That's why I love him.
Actually Transformers already reached it's 40th anniversary few days ago.
The perfect timing alone truly shows how incredibly well they executed Optimus and Megatron's broken friendship and the beginning of their rivalry, all the more of an epic and satisfying viewing experience. They truly knocked it out of the park
This is what I feel “WISH” was missing.
@gamerzilla6113 we're aware of that, hence "this year" genius.

Neat, i hope this will be like what happened with Godzilla Minus One.
We should start a petition to call Lorenzos own nonsensical head canon the "disaligned continuity" while the rest of us enjoys each set of movies as it's own unique special thing.
😂
lorenzo still be D riding the bayfilms cuz they made lots of money lets be honest if he kept his mouth shut and had no direction over the story and lore everythin would have been great for the tf films in the future.
I mean it does show Optimus and Megatron are going to war to each other but they might have to force to team up when it comes to bigger threat.
But I wish this movie is making more money since right now it’s making kinda less.
Also Spoilers:
No Lorenzo it’s not canon to the Bay Movies since Sentinel Prime is freaking dead.
I’m so sick of Lorenzo 🤦♂️ 😅
I think we can move on from that, Lorenzo already confirmed that it’s not connected to the Bay’s Transformers, It’s still praise for it, even though they are people who do complain about the issues with the pacing but it does get the story across.
Don't know why he wants to advertise this to Bayverse anyway. No Bayverse fans watching it lmao
I believe what you say will happen in a third movie
When D-16 said "I'm done saving you" and dropped orion. My heart sank. The theater went dead silent. But when orion became Optimus prime the entire theater went bazerk! People stood up and were cheering, clapping I was shouting in excitement it was awesome!

This was a very good movie. It truly showed the origin of the Autobots, the Decepticons, Orion Pax/Optimus and D-16/Megatron. D-16’s eyes changed from yellow, orange, to red.
D 16’s eyes kinda reminded me of Labers how you know one color for good one color is for neutral. One color was for bad and that’s what they did here.

@Lennis01 yes, that line still echoes even after decades.

This is a fantastic concept I hope we can eventually get those beloved chracters from the Cybertron games too!!
I see this happening. Epic.

Yup. Lorenzo is the Kathleen Kennedy of Transformers.
@@Cobalt_Dragon0716 It is tragic how accurate this is
The great thing about the Transformers franchise is that not every continuity must be connected.

The same composer for TFP worked on this movie, so maybe that’s why
It’s amazing, how loved War for Cybertron still is, love it
I'm convinced that this Sentinel is more evil than Dark Of The Moon Sentinel
Of course he is, instead of working with the deceptions to wipe out earth and return cybertron, he’s just straight up betraying his entire race and about to kill their population
I was too busy giggling with excitement when Megatron's eyes turned red, and he said, "I'm done saving you!" That wa so goooooood!!!
I’m just so very happy that there’s something other than just the 86 movie, the War for Cybertron, Fall of Cybertron, and Devastation games and maybe the Bumblebee movie (Rise of the Beasts was cool and fun, but TF: One is…) that actually make Transformers fans *proud*…
I would also find it extremely hard to believe that BayVerse fans would be unhappy with anything continuing in “this“ direction… I never mean to offend, but I really think that’s a silly thing to think, and/or worry about…

The sequel could have the Autobots and the Decepticons fighting the Quintessons but going about it in different ways.
or the Quintessons decide to take advantage of the brewing rivalries by sending a spy to instigate the war. then, when the war wipes out the population, the Quintessons take over Cybertron.
AND that it was THEM that made the bio weapon Cosmic Rust!
It's actually crazy how the ad at the beginning almost exclusively footage from the last 20 minutes

It will most likely be a war against the quintesons
Cant wait for more great content from this channel!
I love the idea of alien descendants of a long dead machine God fighting a long and brutal war against an alien species big enough strong enough, and advanced enough to withstand a battle with cybertronians like there organic counterpart, with the over all motive to seize the heart original factory or energon.

Just came out from watching this in the theater today and is now one of my favorites!
The death of Orion Pax is obviously reference to IDW Transformers: Autocracy comic
In my Honest Opinion, This is the Transformers Movie that made me remember why Optimus Prime is one of the greatest heroes in fictional history.

Every time i saw Megatronus on screen, I was immediately reminded of Tarn
I think all the "connected universe" issue comes from them seeing Transformers One as a prequel, meaning that it has to be connected to some pre-existing storyline. In reality it's a prequel to the general Transformers story, but not one continuity in particular.
In my opinion, the emotional impact isn't lost if this aren't the exact same Optimus and Megatron we know from previous films. This isn't a Star Wars prequels situation.
It's literally contradicts the bay films.

This movie is so amazing. I’m now playing the transformers Cybertron games now.
It was cool how they referenced the bay verse and aligned continuity
the 86' film will always be my favorite, but this one was a very, VERY close second.
The fact my theater erupted in applause when Optimus Prime was name dropped shows just how well written this one “kiddie” movie was!
That quinteson ship is definitely going to become the Nemesis.
“Decepticons! RISE UPP!!”😤✊🏾🔥🔥🔥🔥
I watched transformers one in 3d it was so awesome and i love how it sets up that megatron and optimus (d16 and orion) slowly start to get less friendly when they get their cogs, it sets it up so well
My wish for a possible sequel is an era of peace with Megatron being an underground gladiator to get troops
I LOOOOVED IT!! Chills when Prime popped out the planet and opened his eyes.
Boof!
I’ve seen this six times over the weekend and I’m still blown away by this movie. ❤
A true fan and make allot of money. I also have a Masterpiece Transformers collection worth over 10k and that's small compared to other collectors. (If you don't know what MP Transformers are, look it up) The 80's properties are loved by the people who lived it.
Just watched it, and it’s AMAZING!
Agreed
just saw the movie. ABSOLUTE CINEMA. chris hemsworth killed it as the voice of optimus prime, my god it was so good.
i want them to keep this as a separate continuity.
how tf did ign give this a 5./10
and did anyone hear the music during credits. quavo cooked too.
loved it
I like the score when megatron start killing sentinel, like it has to be released somewhere on youtube
