I learned some Dine history in the eighties. There were still Dine alive from the Long Walk. Alamo was created for the Army scouts and their families. I thought they were deemed enemy Dine they helped Kit Carson find their own people.

The industrial money should stay in New Mexico
Where is that 6 billion money New Mexico Navajo Nation has crappy roads
It is true in Arizona did they burn down chapter houses all kinds of stuff and they rebuild them within one month less than four months

I was in Bravo Co 8th Engineers at Camp Lejeune in the early 90s wid a Wilson Nez. The guys from Bravo Co 8th Engineers have a get together once a year or keep in touch thru social media. Purdy sure Nez was from New Mexico. If anyone knows anything about Nez I'd be glad to hear from him. Know Nez knew how to rope because he roped my leg when we were in Desert Shield/Storm. Hope he's doing well.

My late mother told me about Alamo Navajo..... How they ended up down by Socorro, New Mexico....
The story goes back when the United States Government was gathering up Navajo.... The government hired Navajo and Apache scouts.... Upon release in 1868 the US government thought that some Navajo was going to retaliate against the Navajo scouts, so the Government gave them land by Socorro New Mexico.... Navajo scouts were treated special by the United States government with water and food when they were held captive....

I've heard that story as well, which is why we wanted to interview the local residence who grew up there and hear their take. Ahe' hee for sharing your insight.

So you should do one about the Ramah Band of Ramah... We no different of all settlite chapter of Navajo Nation. We treated so wrong from the big Navajo Nation. Ramah Band of Navajo vs The Big Navajo Nation. They try rule us are funds.... Bully Nation. We different.... We first self determination of all nations. We were the road map. But... But we under the the 12 tribes of NM. So Navajo Nation try to rule it all .. all funds.😢

Those Navajos did not live there, their land is all around santa fe canõncito and Albuquerque and all the way up in vernon, utah where they call skin walker ranch, the Pueblo tribes occupied the land around Albuquerque, when the navajos failed to round up the diné people, the u.s. government imprisoned them along with a few diné caught unware around mt. Taylor, after the navajos and diné were released they were forced to live with the diné on the same rez.

@@seantsosie but if u want it to make sense for u, read geronimo's autobiography, he mentions the canõncito band of navajos as his enemies and the diné' tribe as his allies, then the book written by will evans who tells the story of how the navajo nation was started by navajos, Pueblos Zunis and hopis , so u gotta read to know about these things it's all written, not told thru a video.
