The ending was Beautiful, Cody. I'm in college for Firefighter paramedic at the college of western Idaho so very close to Oregon! Love dirt bikes and the grit growing you see others become. Jack is becoming a find young man! I've been dating a fine young gal here recently- as you talk about how you're raising Jack only inspires me and brings me to a tear, this is the type of father son I dream of having one day. Your family is amazing Cody, Gods blessings are real.
Proud papa speaking of his son growing into manhood!!! I love hearing about family values! It is quite rewarding seeing your son’s accomplishments that’s why I started watching your videos Cody. You have a heart towards your family and how they grow up and becoming fine outstanding adults! I am looking forward to seeing your next video together!! ROLE MODELS ARE APART OF OUR DUTY AS A PARENT! 👍👍👍👍
Nothing more pleasing than a fathers pride in his sons. I've been blessed with three boys and I'm very proud to see and say they've grow into fine, strong young men.
Lovely description of your relationship with and hopes for Jack. You’re blessed to have this time with him. That beautiful landscape can only enhance the challenges you can experience together. Something we can all emulate and aspire too! Thanks for sharing.
Jack is coming along nicely. In watching all of your videos all these years, its obvious that he's always been listening. Looks like he is growing into a pretty good apprentice.
Thank you for that message today. Me and my almost 17 year old are at loggerheads lately. He has a serious girlfriend (almost 19...), he is a senior in college with 2 more semesters for his Bachelors degree, and his vision of his future is not the same as me and his mom's. He is entering into some mistakes, but...They are HIS mistakes to make at this point. Anyway, I miss the days you are living through now with Jack. We have 3 older boys; 29, 26 and 24, so we have lived through this before. You do your best but somewhere around 16-17 your job is done. They are what they are and it is now their life to pursue. All you can do is step back and be there for them. It is so hard to turn them loose...Anyway, thank you for helping me put things into perspective.
I love it. Your wife is gonna be through the roof. Write her a love note on the deck of the bridge. That way every tine she crosses it she’ll think of you. Blessed indeed! Great times, great mentoring and stewardship!
I will never raise my children in the environment I grew up in. Modern day suburban living is so confining. My parents made me take part in what all the other kids were doing. I see them doing the same things with my siblings. How do we as a society expect adults to be creative, inventive individuals when we raise our kids in an environment that forces all kids to choose from a limited number of paths? Parents just seem to imitate each other and conform to the mundane expectations of society. They wants their kids to play football, soccer, piano, but fail to let their children do what they are passionate about. It is just so frustrating to see parents living through their children. Jack is so lucky to have a Father that doesn’t want regret how he guided and raised him. My father was more interested in watching television than bonding with my siblings and I. Keep up the good work Cody. You are an inspiration to many.
It's starting to really shape up. Can't wait to see the finished product. Sounds like you're a good father. Your life there has allowed you to pick and choose what you do with your time. It sounds like you're using it wisely with Jack. Can't wait to see the new bike. Of course, we can't forget the time Mrs. W. spends with Jack homeschooling and everything else. Both of you are really blessed with a fine son. (Hope Mrs. W. likes the bridge. 😊)
I haven’t been by the channel in quite some time and the first thing that came to mind is “Jack is becoming a fine young man” :) great job on being the father figure in his life, as well as a positive figure for all who come across your channel. Peace and blessings!
Great bridge! I'm excited to see Jack's new bike! I'm not financially able to ride dirt bikes with my kids, but it makes me so happy to see you riding with Jack!
Not a bad idea... but I just have other priorities in life at the moment. I built a new house 3.5 years ago on 5 acres, and it takes a lot of money, time and effort to do the things we want to do without going into debt. Dirt bikes are not really a possibility at this time. And I DO enjoy life, just not in that way.
Dear Cody, I have been following your channel for some time now, and I would like to make a comment about Jack and his coming of age if you would allow me indulge myself. 1st....Yes, I will 110% agree with you and every other honest man that the mother's of young boys do the heavy lifting when it comes to shaping a young man's beliefs but, I respectfully disagree that mom's shape the man. I rank your wife right up there next to my beautiful wife, in what they both have done for both of our sons! God Bless them both....but....When it comes to making a man what he will turn out to be most like....it is without any doubt the father figure that makes the mold. Very Very fortunate young men have both mom and dad shaping who they will be. And this last sentence is sad because far too many young men don't have the father figure to finish the job moms everywhere started. Jack is a very blessed young man in today's world because he has both a beautiful mother who teaches him what only a mom can teach her son, we also has an awesome father who is there to teach him what moms can't teach a young man. I myself and divorced for my first wife who I had a son with, but I was blessed with the father who taught me no matter what happens between you and your wife you must be there for your children. That is the one lesson I am proud to say I learned from my father and I have passed it down the best I could to my son from my first wife and God bless him he learned he has had major struggles throughout his life and yet when the chips were down and all was lost he never forgot the lesson I taught him was to be there for his children. I truly believe the Jack has been blessed by you to know what it really means to be a man. I applaud you for the effort that you have taken to teach him right from wrong. Absolutely no one and this world can take away what his lovely mother taught him she taught him the things another man can't teach. But the both of you have given Jack both sides of life and now it is up to him to decide whether he is going to honor what you both have given him. I truly believe you both have done an outstanding job and even if something were to go horribly wrong with Jack heaven forbid, it will be because Jack chose not to listen to what he was taught. I don't think you have anything to worry about because Jack is really an outstanding young man and you should be very proud of the accomplishment you both were able to do together. God bless you all, and I look forward to seeing a beautiful young lady and another 13 or 14 years and I hope you're still doing TH-cam because otherwise I'll go crazy wondering how she came out hopefully she will be as wonderful as her mother because she's a special lady to
Found this channel recently, your videos are nice and calming, kinda like Bob Ross of homesteading and carpentry. I hope you hit that 1m subscribers soon.
Been watching this channel for a long time and Jack is definitely becoming a fine young man. Good parenting! Jack's Crossing sounds like a great name for a bridge!
Congratulations on a new bike in the family!! I'm stoked to see what he got, I live near Portland in canby but always good seeing fellow riders upgrade!! Start em young.
Cody, my son is turning 10 in a few short weeks. I wrestle daily with many of the same thoughts. Trying always to replicate those things that were done well by my elders...and avoid those grievous errors committed by by my own parents and mentors(sometimes tormentors), and to add in those things that realize I never received in my own childhood. I'm not trying to shape him ...but rather equip him with the tools he will need to succeed. Despite my daily failings my son is turning into a pretty good lil' man. The hardest part is standing back and letting him fall short...the only path to true growth. I know it's a little Batman-esque ... "why do we fall Bruce, so we can learn to pick ourselves up."
Thanx, one of my main mentors said that we can never do a good enough job at something we care about ....so if you aren't worried, you should be. Maybe that the best we can do.
Like you say, they will stumble and they will fall. The true man picks himself up and perseveres. We are all human, and all make grave mistakes throughout our lives. It takes a man to right those wrongs and move on.
As I write this, I'm 23, and my fiance and I have been talking about our future together. You and your family give me guidance and hope that I will be able to shape my life, and eventually my children's lives into something we can all be proud of.
So awesome. So excited about Jack getting a new larger bike. It was always a fun time when my kids ugraded thier bikes. A little scary but exciting. I cant wait to see what you get.
That's a good idea. Each video does stand alone but I find it so relaxing to watch that I need to set a time to watch when I can most benefit from that (least likely time to be interrupted lol) and take the process in!
I have to say I never thought I would have a reason to build a bridge but there is a spot on my property that could use a bridge. Probably copy the drive over bridge you build last time. Thank you for sharing. :)
It make me so happy and in a perhaps weird way proud that I’ve gotten to watch Jack become a young man. Thank you again for allowing us into your lives. I hope that didn’t come across creepy, that was not my intention.
Bigscreen Bird, talking about trolls on his own TH-cam channel: "...I have been guilty of this in the past, from some of my actions because I strongly disagree with people, that's changing, if you don't have anything nice to say then you don't need to say it. Okay? It's pretty simple. I have in my past disagreed and said some pretty nasty stuff on some people's channel and I apologize for that 100%, and from here on out, by the way, it is 12:37 Atlantic Standard time on Monday, from here on out if I don't have anything nice to say I'm not going to say it..." Blah, blah, blah...You should crawl back under your rock, loser.
Markings on your range will also train your eyes to better judge distance. My grandfather's Homestead, where I grew up, was one half of a mile long. That, and daily seeing other known distances, helped to train my eyes for dead reckoning.
I know that's the way I was raised I grew up fending for myself learning on my own figuring things out or I thought it was even though my uncle who really wasn't my uncle he was my great-great-uncle held my hand the whole way brings tears to my eyes he live to be a hundred and six he taught me so much on the farm I grew up on it was only 200 Acres but it was 200 Acres of freedom
just wait till Jack looks back at these videos and hears about how Cody thinks so much and tries so hard to grow him into being a man. A lifetime of love, all on video.
Cody happy belated birthday i am also born in April. April 10th. Oh yeah you need to do more Q&A i love them. and i hope you get 1 million subs good luck on that
Cody I used to watch The Woodwtghts Shop, a show of one man demonstrating traditional woodworking skills and tools. I believe you are missing an adze(so?). It is a tool that looks kind of like a paddock but is used to smooth and to hog out beams. They can be one handed or two handed, if my memory serves.
-Oh wow, Jack is looking sooo rown up! You've got a really good kid there. Or shall I say young man. Respectful, intelligent, and talented amongst other strong character traits. I would be exceedingly proud too. You blink and pooof, your baby boy and a grown man-

never did....
Soo i am really upset about this.. why!! I need to see it!!!!
Jack has gotten so tall over the past couple of years, wow. You should be proud, you have a great family.

You and Mrs Wranglerstar are raising a fine young man!! Train them in the ways of the Lord and they will not stray !!! Good job Cody!!!!

Great video.. Love the way you are involving Jack more and more in to the adulthood.. Great job on that..
Congrats on getting a new bike, Jack!! That's awesome!
End of video comment... love the parenting angle of your videos. Inspirational stuff. And motorcycle shopping?! Color me jealous.
HEY, Glad to see Jack again, damn he is growing to quite the awesome young man Cody, great job !!! Keep him in the action for us!

Does this bridge project actually complete?
Congrats Jack! Lucky you a full sized bike! I wish I had one!
I'll never forget how much more I enjoyed riding once my tires got bigger! They roll way easier over obstacles.
I love this series please do more videos like this
Great job Jack. Hope you get dream bike. In joyed seeing you grow up.
I could have sworn video 1 said we were going to see it through to completion. What happened? No finale?
I'm wondering the same thing! You can see a photograph of it in the thumbnails, so we know it's finished.
A dovetail shaped slot would be helpful in securing those stanchions .
Your my role model
Also really upset that we didnt get to see this project through. Why wranglerstar!?
Jack is a lucky young man to have such an awesome pair of parental units :)
The lord smiles on you Cody. You are very Blessed!
It's been 2 years big fella, are we going to see a final episode???
Wow! An awesome epilogue!!!!
This is such a fun series! Thanks!
just wait till Jack looks back at these videos and hears about how Cody thinks so much and tries so hard to grow him into being a man. A lifetime of love, all on video.

Good job so far Cody ...and rocking the hat 👍
Can this bridge be named "Jack's Crossing"? I never heard what or if you ever named the drive over bridge you two built.. Peace..
I've wondered what he named that bridge. I remember him taking suggestions but I never heard what he settled on for the name.
It has been named jacks bridge if I recall correctly
I'v watched all his video's, and all i remember is him telling us they need to come up with a name, or something like that, and he asked us to leave some suggestions.. But i haven't heard anything since then.. But i may have not heard him, i don't know.. lol.
I know i'v seen them drive over it, and there isn't a sign.. Maybe it slipped his mind.. :)
that's a good name.
Hi Cody, Is there a part 6 for this series still coming? or did you guys just end this on here? looking forward to seeing the completed project.
Cody , jack looks like he may out size you in a year or so. Good job with jack. Teaching him well, make sure he isn’t so tough that he forgets to be a softy for the ladies. 👍
by jacks age i was already taller than everyone in my family except my brother
@@SkullCrusher757 I was taller than EVERYONE
Very nice Cody !!!
Jack's becoming a beast!
The fitting looks great. Bring on the Loctite!
Nice to get your son a new bike. 🇨🇦
I don’t know why but his voice is kinda satisfying
It’s crazy... I’ve been subscribed for a long time but I haven’t been watching much for about a year or two, and oh man jack is growing up!
Awesome and idk how that wood with hold up for but on the wood on my hay trailer I pour diesel on it and it keeps it sealed up instead of spending a fortune on deck sealer
Love Jason Isbell’s music!
Good dad, happy for jack
Nice to see you wearing that hat, Cody. That Jack boy, he's sure stretching out
Great video!
