I don’t like the way Chanel has to put the CC on the toe of the shoe. A Chanel thing should be so nice you don’t have to advertise for them. Those Mary Jane ballet flats have been coming and going since I was a ‘tween 55 years ago, so if you like them they are something you can buy and wear and then put away for the next round. Or your grandkids will want them. Great sweater you’re wearing there.
Missed you! But sorry I have a big disagreement. Ballet flats ARE a classic. You see them every single year, every summer. The public were wearing them even in the 1950s! Audrey Hepburn even wore them! (Even if different name) so it’s not just the last 10 years. It’s a classic. Just because not ALL fashion houses make them every year DOESNT mean they’re not a classic. What makes an item classic is the public, the designers simply grab unto what the public wears and escalates this. Most of these trends are seasonal, every year it’s the same. Ballet flats for dry weather (summer and autumn/fall), suede for autumn….are we going to say that this year red and green is trending for Christmas? 🙊
