lol bro that recording vinyl part and making percussion would take me all day
That sample was an Indian Bhajan which people of india used to recite for God Krishna❤🇮🇳
It’s beautiful 💙
Mad respect for you using your own vocals. Normalize singing for enjoyment and to convey a message and not solely to sound professional or flex. There are tons of us out there that aren’t confident in our singing abilities and it’s nice to see you put yourself out there in a super vulnerable way.
Ahhhh I appreciate that this comes across ❤️ thanks for writing!
the vinyl bump percussion sounds soooo good
It is cool, Oscar!
The vocals become better when you train yourself to relax during recording sessions.
Pretend you're singing in your car alone, does the trick for me. ;)
I'm sure going to add this to a playlist.
Literally was saying that out loud to myself yesterday :D "Stop it just moooove ooooon" while fine-tuning percussions...as...alwayyyys!
Edit: that mounted camera angle is freaky haha
Very cool to see you using your vocals more. Also I liked the use of the linear break
As someone who is a "blue belt" and only ends up pumping a song out every 6 months at this rate, this was awesome to watch and very motivating, love the end product and shows you can make something out of anything if you're just having fun :)
Youre crazy creative, big thumbs up!
You're crazily creative, and highly understated, with a big thumbs up!!!
@@lorenortiz5097 did you really take time to correct my english?😫😂
I was writing lyrics, not correcting you. You inspired me, is that not what you are trying to do? Inspire people? Well, you inspired me. Good job..@@Babidibubidi
@@lorenortiz5097 nice one😁💪
Nice video, spacing out to an eastern vibe. The special effect too, on this one, suited it perfectly. I love the notion of facing the confrontation of hearing your own vox and learning how to make it work. Sometimes the only person who could possibly sing your song, is you. Carry on, you will soon be singing good unique songs. ❤️
the beat made from cracking vinyl
is awesome by itself !
This is amazing! I'm so happy the YT algorithm introduced me to this channel
Yes Oscar you are genius, really love your approach. Now halfway in your course EMP 1 and I learn every day from you👍🏿
I created a folder just for that some months ago, just when I realized that I didnt finish a single track and was spending more time in the mixer than in the "music sheet".
It also helps to not take it so seriously, and its great for improvising and getting ideas to develop latter.
Its like a space where you can allow yourself to have fun and not worry about anything else, and a return to basics.
I'm going to have this song stuck in my head for AT LEAST the next 24 hours 🤣
I have discovered you yesterday , i must just say , don't ever change from what you do ! I learned many things from you in such a short period of time !!! Thank you man !!
This POV camera is giving me some crazy aphex twin vibe hahaha 🤣 😂😂
Nice video, it's good to get out and try something which initially feels a bit constrained but can actually send you off in directions you wouldn't normally expect to go in. It also has to be said, your t-shirt game is on point once again.
You made it so nice. Love it.
Love it! Please more of stuff like this. Yes, please publish it.
If you feel like redoing this challenge (or making it a 7 tracks in 7 days type of thing) I'm sure a lot of people would be willing to pay to watch the footage. Just an idea ...
Started singing lessons ~1 year ago and always get this cringe or embarrassment when practicing, seeing this referred to as creative blockage and thinking about it as something that it's keeping you from fully exploring your voice and creating art with it really resonated with me, very nice video!
I found it very inspiring that you sang even though it was your first time and the result is great
Beautiful piano 🤩
Nice, it fits my eclectic way of making tracks, tnx for the inspiration, sounds very well! 🎶
Great idea, awesome output! Another one tomorrow? Who else taking up the challenge ? ;)
I'm going to this Saturday.
Great effort, love it🙏
Recently I started to watch a lot of videos about music production. Yours surely are part of the best I’ve watch, if not the the best. And you seems to be a very nice and gentle person. Thx mister!
🫶🏻☺️
that track was siiiiiiiiiiiiiick omg
Hello Oscar, after so many years not singing and not doing music at all (around 8 years), I finally bought for myself what I need to get into creating covers again and learning about music production.
I got a rode nt1 5th generation mic, a launkey mk3 mini (and an overkill boss rc505mk2 to improvise and have fun)
Your channel is lovely, with a lot a lot of knowledge to give and you have no idea how much you are helping me, taking into consideration the only I think I have is a little bit of voice talent but no musical theory or any musical teaching lessons in my life. (the only thing I learned by myself is some ukulele chords)
I can’t wait to comment more on your youtube videos until you will watch my first creation haha!
Cheers!
😁👌 looking forward to it!
Great idea, very interresting !
Can't wait the next one ;)
That was super cool, I loved it 👌
Very cool experiment Oscar! I think it definitely deserves to be published. I'm not sure whether it would be too far from your comfort zone or the focus of the channel, but I would love to see more videos exploring different musical genres. Great video as always, best wishes!
Very interesting subject. It talks about self-confidence. It sounds great. Keep going, man. Keep going.
You set an excellent example by overcoming your apprehensions. It's beautiful :)
JAAAJAJAJAJAJA ( I can't stand the urge to share this laugh with you after seeing you with the camera on your head )
I'm very good at this-over thinking, and it's why I'm always starting new bitsa tunage.I'm now working on much better productions.alot thanks to all your help.cheers
The fact that indian music is structured so differently than western music and how you can built something from it out of your comfort zone is amazing. Nice work, been enjoying so much this kind of videos lately!
Cool track bro
best video yet!
Nice! It kinda gives me old Moby vibes.
Very talented
I'm a complete hobbyist when it comes to music production but your vids have helped me grow a ton.
Appreciate your efforts!
As far as worryin about the singin, ya gotta be the fool before you become the master right? :D
Don't stop bein you!
I think it’s so good you added your own voice. I’m not a singer either but adding the human is so easy with the voice so I want the confidence to try too. The bg harmonies are so nice
Thanks for saying that! Still very insecure about using it so is nice to read!
really cool
The title took me back to the first day that I met the FTRSND community, speaking about our creative processes and motivation to produce. I had taken this one-track-a-day challenge years ago. It was like keeping a diary with sounds. I had produced the soundtrack of my day for more than two years. I wish I had such time now to do it again! By the way, most of them are still on my old computer -- finished tracks waiting for mastering, ugly tracks just too precious to delete, strange loops... Keep up the good energy Jimmy (I mean Oscar)! 🍻🍻
Cheers Sermet 😁👍
very inspiring
Turned out sick
Amazing 👽
03:04 you must have heard me laugh as well XD Awesome challenge and liked that groove and Great shot with vocal. I sounds legit! keep doing than even more!
That was dope
acid pauli vibes, love it!!!! so so good
Yeah, these one day challenges can be very good sometimes.
I can recommended a techno album called "Katua", made by Mathys Lenne. 14 tracks, each track has been done in one day, but still so many depth and detailism. 🙏
GRANDISSIMO
Inspiration activated✅
Cool video idea and result. I guess going out of your comfort zone is hard but rewarding.
I have the perfect track for this week “Anyasa & Isheeta Chakrvarty - Rasiya”.
To stay in this chill mood I recommend the Dub Techno track “re:fraction - Solid Matter”.
Would love to see more “one-day song challenge” videos, really inspiring.
thnx Oscar! u are best coach 🥰🥰🥰🥰😇🤩🤩🤩🥰
the head camera was the best part
Superbe ❤❤❤❤❤
Trippy as hell with that camera on your head 😂😂😂 but awsome work !!!
Excelente 👏👏👏👏💯.
Nice❤
It's all fun and games until you try to harmonize an Indian Raga LOL
I felt like I was on mushrooms at the piano GoPro bit!🤪
Love it Oscar❤
Thanks max 🫶🏻☺️
Haha love it! I vote for artists recording their not so great vocals 😅
I love trying to finish songs in a day. A guy who does this really well is DVS NME from Dark Science Electro.
❣
duck yes
OMG! I have that same album here, on my desk. 😎😎
Whoaw that's quite a coincidence!
@@OscarUnderdog Freaky AF! 🙃
Love it ! Beat this Badmarsh&Shri ;-)
03:05 🤣🤣🤣👍
I admire your courage, it's inspiring. I felt embarrassed for you at some moments in the video, but that's more reflecting of my own overly conservative thinking and that's probably why I haven't finished a track in so long. You're really an artist in the sense that you are daring.
You know, this comment really caught my attention as I super appreciate your reflection on that. Like, to recognise that your own cringe is more of a reflection of your own defense mechanisms than actual reality :) it’s been a big realisation for me too!
Recording with the mic head in front of a box can give different vocal spaces.oh&I have the same problem with my own voice.I learnt to become a character when I do it now.anyway, thanks
Nice video! But is it legal to use this sample and release the song?
Hey there, i just got into Ableton and wanted to know what the blue lines are on your edit window. What is this?
1:30 - have you heard thomas brinkmann's album klick? its a great minimal techno album built out of those sorts of vinyl clicks and bumps
I thought you was always going to be repetitive Techno but this tune is a refreshing change very nice very creative.
Haré krsna, amigo execelente tu vídeo como siempre saludos desde la tierra del taco 🌮 México 🇲🇽❤️
Man ive doing only one day songs for a year since i cant afford studio fl lol
stop reading my mind ;D
th-cam.com/video/oYpdipkBfN0/w-d-xo.html can't mention enough how trippy/ creepy/ scary this part looks like :D
You have a bit of rüfüs du sol articulation going.
Vinyl is plural.
Ngl everything about that was cool apart from the part where you started singing. Props for trying but the lyrics were cringe so that didn't help. Anyway, I only hope you continue to get better experimenting with your voice, no hate just an opinion that you could do it better but its all a journey of improvements anyway.
You can't pluralise vinyl. Ffs
Could you please make a Video on sound selection kick and bass specially what types of kicks and bass sounds good with each other and way need to choose sound like that i mean what's the benefits this is ruining everything heart breaking situation Please help
