Protip: Xiao Long Dumplings located in Vegas Chinatown is the more budget friendly version of this place and serves more or less all of the same type of menu items! Next time get the cucumber salad--a must have appetizer. Pork chop fried rice is a must try as well. Not sure if you like truffle flavor but maybe go for that in XLB form next time over the shrimp or crab, and if you get noodles get the braised beef noodle soup esp during winter or the cold noodles with sesame sauce during summer. GL! 🇹🇼
Yummm! One of my fave restaurants in Aria! You definitely needed a couple more selections...spicy green beans, fried pork chop over fried rice, and the soup dumplings with just the pork are my fave. You are 100% correct that it is worth it just to try the chocolate dumplings with the salted cream!! 10/10 🤌 Glad you got to try Din Tai Fung. ✌️❤
Everything is made fresh and so good!! Those ribs are flavored so well. My fave are the spicy noodles, taro bao, pork and shrimp wontons, chocolate xiao long bao and shu mai!
This place blew us away last week! We also had the short rib noodle soup, the waiter recommended it, amazing, and close to what you had, including the chocolate dumplings. We found we could totally taste the crab in the dumplings, much more than you did. This was maybe our surprise meal of the trip, we LOVED IT!
I have somehow still never had Din Tai Fung. Have stayed at Aria a few times, and been wanting to try it out. Thanks for the great video Matthew, ill have to make it there next trip I guess!
I love this place, go here whenever I'm staying at the Aria. You are definitely correct, dumplings are meant to be light in flavors, but taste the freshness of the food. Definitely try the noodle/rice cake dishes next time.
Went there last time on a Friday night at around Midnight and the place was packed ! Very good, but could be expensive very fast since most of the dishes were small/bite sizes. Spent around 100$ each for our group of 10 guys
You need to try the rice cakes. We like the both chicken and pork. The rice cakes are similar to a chewy gnocchi and are a bit more filling than just dumplings. Also, give the sesame dessert dumplings a try. We were very surprised how good they are.
I go there once a month at least. My favorites are the steam veggie (mushroom) dumplings and the game hen broth. And I can request the lychee boba with no sugar.😋 You should have ordered the red bean in sticky rice for most authentic Taiwanese-Shanghai style dessert.
Looks good. Surprised they didn’t gouge on the prices, but it’s typical to order a lot of dishes to get full. At least 2 or 3 dishes per person like at a dim sum restaurant.
Your server didn't recommend the most popular dish of Ding Ta Fung, the Xiolongbao. The spicy beef brisket noodles soup is a must try. The stir-fried green beans and cucumbers salad are also delicious. The hot and sour soup is good too.
I really wanted to like this place but I thought it was just ok. Maybe it was an off day because it was a holiday weekend. I didn’t try to chocolate dumplings, they look great. I might have to go back and try them.
I'm shocked the shirt somehow survived! Norma would have put 3 stains on that thing! I love that Justin used a fork! #Merica I haven't been here yet, but looks worth a try!
I had the same expression as you, the place is way too overpriced and overrated. If you are familiar with dumplings then this place does not impress. Bibigos from the store are way more flavorful and affordable.
$54 for some mediocre food for LUNCH is just wild...now seeing your review after seeing many...i most definitely wont be coming here for XLB...speaking of XLB... you know you can get these in the freezer section of Trader Joes, right? They have pork & chicken versions. Try those and tells me whos is better... Trader Joes or Din Tai... 😂😂😂

One of my favorite places to eat in Las Vegas!
The XLB and the chocolate mochi are the best but now I want to try those ribs.
Din Tai Fung at Aria Las Vegas is a must-visit for dumpling lovers! The Xiao Long Bao is absolutely legendary.
I loved that place when it was Cafe Vettro and then Aria Cafe, always had breakfast there, haven't had Din Tai Fung, looks good
Fortunately, we have Din Tai Fung in Seattle, so I don't have to waste my time going to a chain restaurant when I'm visiting Vegas.
I always walk by this place and see all these people eating. Figured it had to be a pretty good restaurant. I must try for sure.
You’re only mistake was going there for a light lunch, lol. You should have ordered more items for the complete fun experience. Love your channel.
Try the noodles. They are so fresh
I have somehow still never had Din Tai Fung. Have stayed at Aria a few times, and been wanting to try it out. Thanks for the great video Matthew, ill have to make it there next trip I guess!
Don’t forget the chocolate dumplings lol
Thanks! Not a bad price for 3. All looked good, the chocolate looked different.

My favorite place everytime we get to visit!!!
Most def get a reservation if u want to go to Aria's Din Tai Fung, I've never not seen a massive line lol
We love Din Tai Fung and are always DTF when in Vegas. We can't wait for the Disneyland location to open. Thanks for another great video.
Thanks for telling us to get a reservation.
Hey Matthew... have you tried Washing Potato at the Fontainbleau? I was there last week... great chinese food and a really cool vibe!
Yes! I will have a video coming up in the future. It was good
Went there last time on a Friday night at around Midnight and the place was packed ! Very good, but could be expensive very fast since most of the dishes were small/bite sizes. Spent around 100$ each for our group of 10 guys
How are you able to eat with a white shirt and not wear any of it?! This is still on my todo list but I'll need a bib and a dark shirt for sure.
Hi matt! Wow going to have to try those chocolate buns next trip 🤤
Hope you like them!!

The pork chops are definitely my favorite. I can’t get it anywhere else!

Adding this place to the list for the next trip!!

Great space great food

Just get them to go if don’t want to go back to get other food lol
I'm shocked the shirt somehow survived! Norma would have put 3 stains on that thing!
I love that Justin used a fork! #Merica
I haven't been here yet, but looks worth a try!
#TimHortons loved your presence on Pompsie and followed will watch your vids
Thank you!
My favorite every time we go vegas. Mama suzie
Mathew, next time, order their beef noodles dish. It's so good! 😋
Love ❤️ this place ❤️ good price great vibes the best food
Holy Cow..this vid was filmed at the beginning of DECEMBER? 😂😂😂
I stocked up
This was filmed in December 2023? 😮
Matthew the best dim sum in Toronto is?
Seemed like you would have liked to order a little more.
I haven't heard anything "bad" per se.... but i definitely heard its "over-hyped"... by many ppl.
Which would you recommend first, this place or Cheesecake Factory? Going with teenagers…
Cheesecake factory has a lot more options for them to pick
Hell yeah $100 bucks to leave hungry enough for a afternoon buffet!
🤣

I went to the Din Tai Fung restaurant in Sydney a few years back the food was ok but honestly nothing to rave about
I can’t wait to go back…oh wait..
LOL
The cucumber salad is the best thing on the menu. The dumplings are kind of mid. Ribs are ok.
If you don't leave prices for people to see and basically we're all just watching a person eat!!!??????? Lol

Must give it a look. It’s all a bit strange to me. Give me pizza and burgers all day long but I’m a Neanderthal!
omg he fucked up how to eat soup dumplings.
The dessert seems better than dinner. Pass.
Got food poisoning from some soup and dumplings at Din Tai Fung and threw up for a solid day - really screwed up my trip. Don’t eat here!
I had the same expression as you, the place is way too overpriced and overrated. If you are familiar with dumplings then this place does not impress. Bibigos from the store are way more flavorful and affordable.
DTF is mid.
