  • Day 5 of The 2023 Japan Judo Camp & Tour
Practice at Chuo University where Shintaro Nakano graduated.
The 12-day trip immerses participants in Japanese culture, with fully guided tours to Tokyo's most iconic sightseeing destinations. The Judo camp & tour provides world-class instruction at four of the top university Judo teams and two private dojos, including the renowned KODOKAN Institute. Participants can build friendships with Judoka from around the world while experiencing elite-level training programs. The previous trips in 2017 and 2018 were a huge success, and participants gained a deeper understanding of Judo's rich history and culture.

I have been doing judo for about 4 months, having started at the age of 63. I love the friendliness of all the people I have met, their willingness to share expertise, their mutual respect, and the care they take of an old guy like me. You can see the spirit of cooperation, mutual benefit, friendship and fun coming through here. Great video.

That must be such a great experience for your team to train in Japan. Very nice to have a peek in to that judo world over there. I noticed how respectful the Japannees judoka’s did randori with your students! It looked like really fun randori’s. Best regards from the Netherlands.

Sensei, what a great judo tour you had with your students in Japan. I watched all 5 days and I am impressed with the skills of all the young judokas. My favourite upload ... was day one, with senseis Tanaka and Tatsuaki and the Austrian famous L. Paisher sensei. It will be not faire for us ( judokas) ... do not mentions in this note all the senseis from all the Japanese universities tour ... with their great judo skills.
Anyway, congratulations to you for your vision and marketing business to open to your students the heart for this lovely sport... with so many practitioners in the world. Well done here.
Thank you for all your videos. Oss.

This University back in the day, was renown for the judo technician they created. Isao Okano, Kizaburo Watanabe, Shinubo Sekine. All master Judokas who could throw people far larger than them. I realy enjoyed watching this.

@@shintaronakano2842 your senpeis changed Judo! Kisaburo Watanabe with his elegant style of judo and throwing both sides influanced Neil Adams, Angelo Parisi and even Wim Ruska. Okano Isao creating seikijuku and training western people in Japanese judo was pioneer work. Koga learned his Seoinage from his older brother who was a student of Okano sensei! There are all those connections in Judo. Okano even changed BJJ but this is a another Story.
