I’m a 28 yo white Kentucky farm boy that is a student of learning more and more ways to eat the greatest meat in America, hog meat. I’ve had the chops, ribs, ham, sausage and bacon etc. But I’ve never had ham hocks or neck bones. I’ve watched Sanford and Son and Beverly hillbillies since I was knee high and always heard about neck bones and ham hocks from the shows and from my great grandparents. This year I raised feeder pigs and fattened them up and sold them to family and friends had a hog processed for myself and hauled them to a local butcher and now I have fresh pork with all different parts of the meat I heard about. Finding these videos is the most helpful information I’ve seen yet. I’m grateful to ya sir for making these videos and I hope I can make neckbones as good as I’ve seen today.

That and collard greens and cornbread. My all time fav. Was my momma's too. I think of her Everytime I make them. She went home with the Good Lord in April 2018. I still miss her. Thanks Chef for a great memory!

Ive eaten neck bones every way one can imagine, my hands down favorite is just old school simple slow cook with beans, some homemade kraut and simple cast iron corn bread. Chef Jeffery is awesome, love the way he introduces his meals and shares his history. One has to love his simplicity, his food touches home with most simple folks and that my friends, that’s where cooking with love comes from. God Bless Chef and thank you for sharing your methods with us.

I love neck bones! I put a little apple cider vinegar in mine along with fresh garlic, onions, jalapeno peppers, or a little crushed red peppers and chicken or vegetable stock. Then I slow simmer them until falling off the bone and eat with dirty rice. So good.

I've never had barbeque pork neck bones. I usually boil mine til fork tender then just eat'em with dots of hot sauce. I don't always bother with rice, gravy etc. I just eat a plate of neck bones with a lil bit of whatever leftover is in the fridge!😋😋😋
