    Eberlestock F4 Terminator Pack
    ....
Price: $450.00 on amazon but you can purchase directly from Eberlestock for $399.00
Heavy pack that comes in at 9lbs 10 oz.
Developed mainly for snipers but used by the civilian population more as a hunting, camping and bug our bag. Chosen by the German army and the Israeli sniper programs. While having civilian uses, it is a Go to War pack system for the professional military sniper community
Made from rugged 1000d nylon and features a huge 5000 cubic inches of space (67 liters)
Comes with a large raincover which is stored in the bottom of the pack
It's a front and top loading pack that is absolutely covered; inside and out with molle/pals webbing.
    - Expandable top with cinch
    - Very adjustable and customizable frame that features aluminum slides that can be molded to
    your body
    - Load bearing system
    - Weapon system compatible that will accept a number of different scabbards
    - Very similar in design to the G4 Operator pack; the biggest difference comes in that the G4 has a built in weapons carrier where as the F4 Terminator does not. It does have the ability to carry one though.
    - Carries a weapon more discreetly than the G4 if that is an important feature to you. For me that is an important function of this bag
    - Will hold folding weapons perfectly without any obtrusions sticking out from the top or the bottom of your pack
3 top storage pockets with compression straps
    - Detachable top pack can be removed and worn as a fanny pack or as a courier pack
    - Features a hydration sleeve in the top
    -
Upper and lower rectangle pockets that offer roughly two liters in space
    - Covered in pals webbing
    - The purpose of these two pockets is to provide space of course but to provide an area for you to rest your rifle and provide a stable platform to shoot from.
2 full length tube pockets on both sides of the pack which can easily hold long objects and hydration bladders
    - Between these long pockets exists another pocket that is covered in molle/pals webbing.
    - The zipper for this pocket had a little hooked clip which connects at the top to prevent it from accidently opening
Many pockets and sleeves on the inside which can support hydration packs and radios
At the bottom of the carrier, we have tuck pockets that run along the interior.
    Also has a zippered shelf to separate the top from the bottom;
    - Vertically adjustable shoulder harness
    - Lots of compression straps which can be hidden if need be
    -
    ...
There is a Terminator XL version to this pack and it's huge. It clocks in at 10lbs 8 oz and features 6100 cubic inches (100liters). It is only slightly more expensive than the F4 and costs $489.

A pistol grip shotgun fits perfectly in those side pockets, one of my favorite features of this pack! A shotgun with a full stock fits as well but I like my shotguns short! Great videos Luke keep em coming!!

You would not believe how many sources I had to go through wondering if those front zippers allowed front access to the main storage area. Eberlestock makes good stuff...but they don't sell it well. I suspected they'd give access through there, but damn it took a lot of looking to confirm it. Thanks for finally being the one place that shows that.

You are absolutely right; it's all about testing it and actually wearing it. Hopefully in a few months I can get a review out for this pack (this video was a preview of the pack). Maybe it if stops raining I can get out with it. I personally haven't had the opportunity to put miles on this pack yet so I can't comment on the way it carries. I've read only good things about it though. We shall see! Take care my friend.

Great review on a great pack. I too was on the fence for awhile as to which LARGE pack to buy. My two favorites were my own Tactical Tailor Malice pack and a Mystery Ranch Grizzly a buddy lets me borrow. I was getting ready to spring for my own when i saw an Eberlestock in person for the first time. Despite the fact they are made overseas the quality is incredible. Just as good overall as the Mystery Ranch pack. The pack is heavy even empty but it's because of how heavy duty the materials are. Overall, the Malice pack holds the most amount of gear without having to get creative. I can stuff a sleep system, sleep pad, one man tent, rain gear, rations, clothes, camp stove and other smalls in the Malice with very little effort. But the F4 is much more comfortable as it keeps the load close to your back. But instead of one massive compartment you have to spread out the items. This required a good deal of time to make the pack work for me. Even now i have to carry my sleep system strapped to the bottom of the F4 which is disappointing. Even in a top of the line compression sack it still eats up too much room.

Amazing chanel! I have one question on this one, hope you can help me. Im confused about the dimensions on the XL version of F4 Terminator. At the Eberlestock web page it says the F4 is about 23hX12wX10d and the XL version is about 23hX10wX09d. So.. how can it be an XL version? Sounds like the X90Battleship seems much bigger (36hX14wX11.5d). Help! This can really help me to make the correct decision on my next purchase. Thanks!

Hey there Tommy, how goes it?
As for the bags, I have to say that I really like Eberlestock gear! The quality and durability is amazing! The Battleship and the Terminator are both great bags and will serve you well. They are more expensive but they are 'military quality.' The Kelty is a good bag too, cheaper but more civilian in quality (smaller in available space too). I hope this helps my friend. Look on Ebay; you might be able to find a good deal.

I am trying to update my Maxped Vulture II with an Eberlestock however I'm so in between F3 and F4. I asked to the company if top fanny bag is compirable with F3 and they replied, "Yes, but not the wisest desicion since it will block the top bag of F3" I also checked your modified Little Brother solution but F3 seemed have more space. What would you suggest for bushcraft and hunting sessions mostly a day long to 2-3 days long. Thanks in advance. ;)

I just want to confirm that I understood this right. Does the detachable fannypack part come off of the lid so that you can just leave it at home if you don't want it, or is it the lid that detaches and becomes the fanny pack part?

Thanks. I think i will decide for a Terminator, it looks stronger then Battleship and i read that a lifting handle can rip off the Battleship. Just a bad design of a handle it self, nothing else wrong with a backpack. Anyway, thanks again for help.

Hey man, question. I'm trying to decide between the battleship vs. the F4 Terminator XL(the xl is their newest it seems). The XL seems to have far better organizational options + a scabbard option..but is it worth the extra $100-$150 diff between that and the Battleship? It's a 1 liter difference in capacity btw...thank you for any input. It is greatly appreciated.

Solid looking backpack. I've got 5.11 Tactical Rush 24 Backpack and looking for something bigger for longer trips. Like the quality of 5.11 and not able to see brands like Eberlestock in shops in Scotland where i live, so i need to order it from US. I'm choosing between Eberlestock F4-Terminator, Eberlestock V90-Battleship and Kelty Falcon 4000. Hed a look on some other brands and models, but i like these the most. To bad that not in black like all my pouches. Maby you could give me some advice?

Hey luke, i did get the pack took it out to Manistee National Forest in north western Michigan, for a three day twenty three mile hike with my dog and my lady. It is hands down the best pack I used to date. One thing I have a hard time figuring out is where to put the hydration bladder. I like the water in the center for balance but there's no hook. whats your take or what would you suggest? Thanks

      @TheOutdoorGearReview  10 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there Richard,
I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying the pack! It's great for sure.
When it comes to the bladder, in the past I would either lay it on top of my gear on the inside or use one of the side pouches. I would of course have to counter that weight on the other side but it worked well.
      Cheers brother.

Jason Kohrs This pack is absolutely huge and very heavy. If you're doing backpacking I would go with something else. If you're military this way be what you want. If you're a hunter, this may work as well. For backpacking and camping, it's a bit much.

Yeah, my better half tolerates my kit. I think (or at least I want to believe) that the Terminator and a Granite Gear Blaze AC 60 will be it for me for a long while. The GG will be for recreational activities and the Term will be for personal training. I have an ILBE as a BOB/INCH pack which honestly, I cannot see beating for the money. I see no reason in replacing it for those purposes. :)

These are standard issue in the NZ Army now, quite modern however they have become the largest cause of injuries on field exercises. Good for accesibility and/or lightweight tactical use, but they are NOT designed to bear much weight due to the lack of a frame or large main compartment.

No worries. They are great for a light recon/hunting/survival pack, but in terms of long term survival not ideal for heavy loadbearing. If you do purchase them, BE ABSOLUTELY sure to fit the straps correctly unless you want to suffer nerve injuries.

    • @KorribansFallen
      @KorribansFallen 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

fixdeluxe1: I could see the need of wanting to change the kit across the board to be equal, but like everything, when the Alice Packs were in use - it's all about how you get a "snug fit" & making sure the pack is squared away properly with a correct loadout. As you know, when you think you can't fit anymore in - you are made to find the space LOL.

if this pack had aluminum frame built in it would be perfect, but im still leaning towards the Finnish army packs the sabre i think

@@deepsouthNZ no it wouldn't. The biggest issues are that if you put things in the big outside pockets it limits the internal compartment size. You cant fit bugger all in it, the shoulder straps are terrible. I doubt you could chuck equipment on it ie crew weapons etc. I doubt you can chuck someone onto of it and carry them out like an alice.
I'd use it for a few days task but not for a few weeks like alice

Sure Steaks. That shouldn't be a problem.

I certainly see the logic of what you are saying but for many soldiers and most civilians that isn't how this pack is used. Crazy to load this thing up and hike with it? That's a matter of opinion. Plenty of people do it. Do a search on internet forums and watch some youtube videos...Lots of 'crazy' people out there. Plus this pack is small compared to some other systems out there.

papylove747 Hmmmmm....my friend I have no idea. I would email Eberlestock directly and ask if they have made some changes.
Let us know what you find out.
      Cheers.

At: $499 USD & about: $170 postage from the Eberlestock website to New Zealand with the exchange rate - I was looking at about $800 New Zealand Dollars to get this from Eberlestock. Since it's a current issue Pack to our Army, I want it - but at about $800 worth.....ummmm...😨😨

I would cut off my left arm for this pack !!...... Then again i wouldn't be able to perform all those tasks arround camp like putting up my hammock etc, So i guess i will keep my left arm and only dream about owning the Terminator..... "I'l be back-pack"
