TFI - Taekwondo Federation Of India, If you are Indian then this is the Federation through which you can go further in Taekwondo. But there are 3 TFI, which one is right. So let's know this TFI first. We can also call it original TFI. In the year 1975, Taekwondo was introduced in India by Grandmaster Jimmy R. Jagtiani. On 2nd Aug. 1976, the Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) was formed and established as a National Body of Taekwondo in India. It is still active from Lucknow but this is not the TFI which we are searching for.
And in fact these are not two but there are two claimant of this. But there is a way through which it can be found that which TFI is beneficial for us.
Through the TFI we can participate in a valuable championship.
And till now the players who have reached or reaching the World Championships or Asian Games through the TFI, is Mr. Prabhat Sharma's TFI.
They said, our winners will participate in the World Championship that is going to be held in Egypt. But the Cadet National Championship that held in Agra, winners participated in the World Cadet Championship held in Egypt. Indian Taekwondo Team Participated in 18th Asian Games held in Jakarta, through Mr. Prabhat Sharma TFI.
Although the selection and the sending procedure of this team was in dispute.
But if we talk about facts, then Mr. Prabhat Sharma was elected as Secretary of the Taekwondo Federation of India, directed by the order of Delhi High Court. And the same thing the Asian Taekwondo Union was told by the Indian Olympic Association on August 10, 2017. If we also look at the World Taekwondo Federation website, then there is Prabhat Sharma's name. These people are thinking of changing the name of the Taekwondo Federation of India to Taekwondo India to remove the confusion of these two TFI. Although there is no official confirmation about this statement but it would be great if this happens
But if this happens then it will be good. This will reduce the loss of players. Because most of the coaches have no information about it and they pressurize players to participate in those championships which do not have the advantage for players, and some coaches know everything, even then they send their team in such championships
If we talk about the 3rd Cadet National Championship held in Odisha, then there was no loss for the coaches in that championship, but about the winners of that championship, who were dreaming of going to the World Championship, their whole years were also wasted and money as well
Although, Prabhat Sharma's TFI has also been in dispute. He and his colleagues has serious charges. There are 2 secretaries in some states of the same tfi. The same condition is in District Associations also. Both secretaries of the same state, take separate trials and participate their teams in the Official National Championships also. And these people write TFI-1 TFI-2 instead of the name of the state. 2 teams of the same state participates in the Official National Championship. Therefore, before participating in any tournament, ask your coach that, this tournament is taking place under which association. If this tournament is taking place under TFI, then which TFI ?
Because it will not change at all. Because to rule, to remain in power, anyone will do anything. Because we are democratic to say, but here even today there is only politics. Policy to rule. Never heard the word of policy for people.
And these ruling type of people has no concern for us. Whether it cost your whole year or your whole life And all this is not a new thing. Earlier it was the same as it is happening today and will continue to happen until we raise our knowledge, stop supporting the wrong. Millions of people think that only my voice is not gonna change anything.

I have a question for everyone. Why don't we practice Taekwondo as a martial art in India? Why EVERYONE wants to play it professionally? Can we do it just as a martial art? As a way of life? I think we are too mesmerized by the fame, prize etc. Whenever I tell I tell someone that I practice Taekwondo, the first question comes "In how many championships you have participated? Medals?" Why?

Yes.... You are right but so many peoples are there who wanna make career in taekwondo and so many are there who just want to practise taekwondo as a martial art so you can't force anyone to do taekwondo as a martial art only..... Bcz different people's have their different goals so you are not allowed to tell to anyone what they should do whether they should practise tkd as a martial art only or want to become a professional player.... Sir pune university me teakwondo championship nahi hoti. Pune district me total 8 university he sabhi university me teakwondo championship hoti he bahut sal se pune university teakwondo championship hi nhi Hui. Pune district india me teakwondo me top par hone ke bad bhi championship nhi hoti. University me teakwondo championship Ku nhi hoti es per video bhav.
