My family went to St Louis for the first time this August! Loved the zoo, thought it was great and amazing for free! Great side note, lots of free parking in the larger area of the zoo, otherwise it does cost to park. We were able to get a free spot though, woohoo!

Yes! We did the free parking, too, but then got mixed up when we left the zoo and couldn't find our car lol.
