The energy on this show is incredible. I’ve been binge watching Dave Ramsey since last Sunday 2/20/21. can’t stop now. I don’t watch anything else on TH-cam now (was wasting time watching fox and cnn). Putting together my snowball debt payoff plan as we speak!

Alright fellas. I’m embarking on a journey to pay off $63,000 in 15 months. My initial estimates were 24 months, but after listening to several of Dave’s videos I was able to reduce the timeline to 15 months. I could even pay it off in 9 months if I sell my car, but I won’t do that. I’ll keep the car and drive it till the wheels fall off. I’ll start calling the show tomorrow! I need Dave’s blessing. Dave’s statement about women boiling until the switch flips and then she’s done is 100% right. My mother’s been a marriage therapist for over 30 years and that’s what she sees. Generally, when the husband is calling to make an appointment it’s because the wife was hassling for therapy for months/years and finally the switch flips and the man freaks out and FINALLY does something but it’s always too late. The woman is out. It then becomes about Mum helping the husband through the separation process. Men can call before the woman is out and the marriage is salvageable, but if he’s calling after the woman has called it, it’s too late.
It's such a joy to be able to listen to you guys while working from home. Bless Dave and the entire team for the work you do, for how you teach us and for how you entertain us at the same time. World economies would be in better shape if we had more bosses like Dave saying "in this company we work until 5 or 6pm and then we go home to our families". Blessed be! Productivity would sky rocket. So much love from Portugal!
If you're in the military, set yourself a 2 to 5 year plan ahead of your exit from the military and live below your means. Our VA benefits are not simply "free" nor are they easy to apply. Get educated to your specific situation so that you can make the best informed decision about your future.
They are very easy to apply it’s just everyone makes it difficult like this guy that had no plan.

I got a VA loan back in November with a 2.75% interest rate. Not sure how that can be considered a high rate.
I'm sitting at 2.25% with PenFed. Definitely not high!

Whole life insurance loans don't have to be paid back, plus you earn compounded interest on the total cash value including what the loan amount was. And the interest rate on the cash value is guaranteed! I don't see how any of that's a bad deal.
Whole life is awful. It costs around 10-20x more as term for the same level of coverage. If you Google why it’s bad, you’ll find many other reasons. The people who promote it are the ones that sell it because they make way more money from you vs term.
Rent for 2 years, give yourself a break. You deserve it. Nothing loss.
Why does he always cut off the caller? Sometimes it seems like they have something else to say, but get cut off.
Because Dave has been doing this for so long he already knows where the caller is going with anything. Hardly ever is he surprised with a caller's plot twist.

We got our second 3.00% VA loan with no extra fees due to my husband's disability rating. A year + ago we got out first home with same VA loan and upgraded 11 months later and made all our money back and then some. It's rare but you can make it work so respectfully disagree.
Dave is wrong a decent financial institution will have a lower rate than conventional and even if you have the funding fee can be cheaper than conventional. I’m sitting at 2.25% so I pay more principal than interest even at 30 years.
Why do people live in high tax places like Illinois?
If you get on with your parents and you can save up why not stay at home and pile up cash until you can buy? I moved out when my husband and I moved in together but my siblings still live at home and my little sis will probably buy a house before me at this rate haha

Lady in Chicago can't get a brand new, luxury, high end condo like Dave is describing in Chicago..... She may have to move out to the suburbs.
She REALLY wants to rent. It would be perfectly fine to rent for a while to ease her mind. Maybe five years from now, she will be ready for home ownership again.
