Laura, as a guy who's not only obsessed with coffee (I guess it's kind of in my name here...) but who's also obsessed with & dearly missing Melbourne, your content brings me so much comfort to put on. Wether it's while I'm editing my own TH-cam videos or I'm on the sofa looking to relax a little, these videos have become my regular coffeeshop while all of mine here in the UK are closed over lockdown. Thank you!
As a former barista myself. You should steam the milk first before pouring your shots because the milk takes longer, if your shots comes out first it’s gonna expire and gives it a very bitter taste. Just FYI but I love how quick you’re keeping the flow going keep up the great work!
Reminds me of games I used to play as a kid. Constantly looking to the next task etc. I know that this is actually stressful (or at least it can be) but this is the kind of stuff I enjoy a lot. I love taking a break or sitting down of course but idle time makes things go so slow.
This is such a hard working environment and after working in factory jobs all i see here is like an assembly line. I told myself to never work in repetitive jobs ever again and never look back. Respect to these workers.
I don't know a lot about coffee, but I love watching your videos! So relaxing to watch, even though most of the time you're multitasking haha. Keep it up! 😄
I stumbled upon your channel while trying to fall asleep the other night. It’s so relaxing watching you work and it makes me want to be a barista! I’ve seen a few of your other videos and noticed how when your other coworkers would help they’d touch the coffee grinds and it always gives me anxiety! Like hello we’re in a pandemic and also ew 😂 but apparently that’s normal to do 🤷🏽♀️
The person who is always working in front of laptop like me, should learn alot from this video. This job is make all of hole body & mind moving and also working. Thank you for sharing ♥️ This is so inspiringly.
I strive to be this AWESOME as a barista at my job … albeit its Starbucks so everything is mostly already made it’s just being put together but you know it does get stupid busy lol
I'm starting my job as a barista tomorrow and your videos terrify me hahahah I'm scared I'll mess up the orders or make the clients wait for too long... You move so fast and so certainly, I hope I'm learning something from watching you :)
Your hair thing is cute ;) Anyone who thinks Covid is a lie and don't wear the mask, please don't go to the hospital to get help if you get it. You choose to do it so don't be a burden on the medical staff.
Absolutely Love this content you move like a Boss one of the most fluent Barista's I have seen. Handles pressure like it's nothing💪 Co worker added character to Vid as well Lol. Looking forward to the tutorial's to come😊 keep up the good work guys Love it💯
Me being a starbucks barista and you see hot cups lining up in front of you, i'll just take a deep breath and follow the routine to ensure fast quality beverages are given at the handoff 👍🏼
Love your videos, reminds me when I was working as barista in NZ! Wish I could do the same back to France... but this crazy time doesn't help. Thanks for sharing those working moments :))
Our place is introducing a Puqpress to the mix. It's one expensive piece of equipment but at least it keeps things consistent. My Pullman will still have a place on the bench though ... Maybe in a display cabinet. Lol
They should get also get one of those Puqpress automatic tampers. Since the pressure needs the be consistent it makes sense to have a machine do that for you
@@DarkForce141 yeah that too! Though it is good practice as well for the baristas to hone their consistency with tamp pressure. But with an experienced pro like her, she's got it down enough 👌🏽
I am working at Starbucks as a barista and watching your videos make me realize it's easier to work at Starbucks! XD Anyway, great job, no hesitation in your body language, crazy.
Hai Laura, it is a say hai ... from Jakarta Indonesia, I love your videos and I always watch at late night ... just love it and so inspiring even though watching you the same thing but love it. cool. I wish I came to visit your coffee shop this year and watch it directly ... cheers
@@LifeAfter53 Follow-up question; why isn't the grinder calibrated to give the exact amount needed, does that exist? That is literally the one thing slowing her down and it bothers meeee haha Laura is always so efficient, some things can't go faster, like milk steaming/she only has two hands, she can't help it. But that little spoon thing is a huge time suck!
@@madddoll8685 I am no expert on this but my take is that the grinder do the best but it's very difficult to get "exact" 23 grams "every time" due of types of beans, how it was roasted and when. @Laura she could probably answer you better. But I think the shop needs to get her an automatic damper so it's fast, consistent and no sore wrist.
@@madddoll8685 she might have calibrated her shots to exactly 23 grams in the morning when the hopper was still full of coffee, but from my experience, as the time goes by, the amount of coffee beans in the hopper decreases. thus the burr of the grinder receives less load and will grind the coffee faster. she eventually has to recalibrate it
coffee is constantly changing and even if you do have your grinder calibrated to give you 23g, it change to maybe 23.4g overtime. so until you have time to recalibrate the grinder back to the weight you want (also, if you need it finer/coarser) then this is the best way to get the exact weight each time! basically, coffee beans constantly changed due to weather, if they are fresh or old etc
Tip: set aside these green plastic cups and tell the owner to buy a special base on the grinders for the groups. Also aside of the start set up, every couple of hours set up your grinder because you grind more than you need and you lose time to weight for each coffee. The point is to use all 3 groups at the same time and make milk for all 3 if needed instead one by one. Keep up ;)
I gotta say this after watching your video for a long time, your video makes my dishwashing time so valuable hahaha and also give me wanna try to be a barista. thanks for your vlog, hope someday I can go to drink your latte at the cafe.
Hello from the US, I enjoy watching you make espresso drinks. At around 6:15 of the video where you had 4 glass at the machine.. may I ask what sizes they are and what kind of drinks you used them for? I think they are cool looking.. thanks!!!
Sending the coffee culture from Kuwait.....I love your flow and really inspires me.....work with a coffee shop franchised from Australia..@tobys estate coffee roasters 😊😊....good job
with the large mugs for dine in coffee is it normal to put one shot of coffee in each mug? i always thought there'd be two shots in there and the small mugs have one shot in them..unless the customers wanted a weak large coffee
when does the flavoring/sweetener go into the drinks? i saw a video a while back where you made an almond latte i believe but i didn’t see anyone put in anything besides milk and espresso?
Serving all pp in the same time 😱if i was u, definitely i would needed the avengers ti help my slow a**🤣🤣🤣 serving al of that,👏👏👏i love how u really quick n ready 💪
This is when a job becomes fun. The point from where you understand the routine and know how everything operates. It's a good feeling.

Exactly. We do as you said in my cafeteria
i was taught to pour a bit of milk into the cup first then add the shot if i couldnt steam my milk in time that way my shot doesn't settle

I've had this question after watching a couple of your videos - why do you always take a little coffee out with the spoon right after grinding it?
she needs exactly 23 grams.

Glad you like them!

What determines who's face you blur? I didn't notice hardly anyone's face being blurred in previous videos
they probably let them know when ordering and if they decline they blur during edit maybe
