I've seen 2 drummers do something similar - and I've tried it - doing anything more than an 8th note roll with another person is a *lot* harder than you think it is. Doing 16th note rolls that are that clean - is really quite impressive.
@@blueknigh7 The real problem is that your brain naturally want to sync up with the beat when you're handling the offbeat notes. It pretty much gets exponentially harder the faster you play. Nailing 8ths on the offbeat is not something people do without practice, nailing 16ths is downright impressive even for two drummers.

Don't get me wrong...Randy was the star of the show...but.. Def Leppard made Ozzy look like an amateur for pure energy on stage.
Opened up a different debate, yeah for me Bonham, moon , Baker and the brilliant mitch Mitchell were awesome drummers but Peart took it to another level even 2 levels which won't be surpassed unless you have twice as many limbs, even then you have to have the knowledge to craft out a drum solo RIP the professor.
They're showmen, people, specially normal people, enjoy their style, happy and entertaining at extreme, I think they have this talent and i respect their effort, they are good on what they do, despite not my cup of tea, I like heavy metal and bands playing with hate in their hearts.
Surely not the BEST one, but a good idea 😀. Best ones in my opinion came from John Bonham (Led Zeppelin) and Keith Moon (The Who). Outside Pop/Rock it was Bernard „Buddy“ Rich, who was possibly best technician.
