Homemade Italian Sauce
Ingredients:
1 minced garlic clove
2 tablespoons of olive oil or canola oil
2 cans of crushed tomatoes
4 cans of tomato paste
2.5 cups of water
1 teaspoon of black pepper
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of basil
1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup of original cranberry juice
Pot of any size
Instructions:
1. Begin by adding the olive oil or canola oil to the saucepan.
2. Next, add the minced garlic clove and allow it to brown slightly.
3. Add the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste. Keep the temperature at medium (setting #5).
4. Gradually add the water, being cautious not to add too much at once.
5. Season with the black pepper and salt.
6. Stir in the basil and mix thoroughly.
7. Add the grated Parmesan cheese and mix until combined.
8. Add the original cranberry juice.
9. Cover the saucepan with a lid, reduce the temperature to low (setting #2), and let the sauce simmer for 35 minutes.
10. Allow the sauce to cool for 25 to 30 minutes before packaging.
