Hello everyone! Welcome to this what I eat in a week (kind of) at my italian grandma’s! Hope you like some family time, the Italy series is almost coming to an end but I have few more things to share! This is not the glamorous part of italy so I hope you still enjoy it. This is how me and my family genuinely eat at home, every recipe is simple and easy to make and just delicious so I hope this inspired you to try your own version! My nonna loves y’all and she’s happy people like to watch food content lol

I already talked about this in a comment so I’m not explaining any further and I see your point but I wish you wouldn’t base your judgment on a single video. My channel is completely different, I use the click before segments in every video and it’s nothing original on yt tbh, and the music is just copyright free music from a Korean channel that I featured multiple times in my videos. I’m not asking you to watch every other video I have to check, but please understand that we have completely a different audience and I’m not trying to copy anyone. I lost my grandparents due to war in Ukraine and I am literally crying watching your video. You brought me back to my grandma kitchen, their cozy small house in a village that doesn't exist anymore... But I will always cherish those moments. Or taste too good. Most people.. and especialy in America.. want things to taste amazing all of the time.. and they want everything in high quantities. Most of the dishes here would be meh for muricans.. they would add corn syrup and butter to everything.. 10x sugar.. as long as they get a high from the taste.... noone uses brain or is grounded. Places like Italy or japan arr saved by strict traditional values
I'm starting to believe that all the grandmas around the world are members of a secret organization that is strictly against using chopping boards 😄
My Mom never used a cutting board either. It's just how they did things, and most kitchens were not equipped with all the gadgets we have today.

This video felt like home, it took me back to the old days when i used to spend my winter holidays at my grandma's house, she used to cook a lot of delicious foods, grandpa used to bring fresh bread from the bakery, afternoon coffee was Always mandatory even if we didn't have cakes or sweets we would make toast with butter and jam, those days will never comeback i really liked this video i couldn't stop smiling 😭🤍 your grandparents are so adorable
I am from Ukraine and moved to Canada when I was 6 but this reminds me so much of home. From the endless food while standing by grandma while she makes it to those killer knife skills 😂 European grandmas just have a certain comfort to them. Beautiful! I find European families LOVE to feed their families but to be honest you can’t beat the Italians. My Aunty is Italian and honestly whenever we go to her/my uncles house she just won’t stop offering us Italian cakes, coffee, makes dinner as if it was our last on earth, wine constantly flowing, love it.
I know right 😭 I feel like it’s a comforting feeling worldwide and it’s definitely a love language for grandmas 💖

This made me sob, it was like watching my grandparents back in Poland. They passed a few years ago (in their 90’s ❤️) and the dynamic was the same. Grandpa always peeled potatoes and set the table, cut the bread ❤️ The food is incredibly similar too if you can believe it. Just love this, so happy I found it!

❤ Anything from nonna’s humble kitchen is all prepared with love! I love her single knife. To think she prepares all the meals without a cutting board is equally amazing! Grandpa and Nonna are so charming together … may they continue to live happily and for Nonna to continue what she does best. She’s the heart of the home and grandpa knows it well!❤

This is so sweet. My grandparents were Italian immigrants and this makes me miss them so much. I would always spend time with my mommom in the kitchen while she cooked and listen to all the stories she had to share with me. They were my best friends. I would give anything to hang out with them again and eat my mommom's food. Cherish these moments with your grandparents and thank you for sharing!

We watch it because not a lot of people keep up with tradition so it’s so nice to be able to pass it along to the next generations. My grandparents passed away when I was really young and I’m not able to have moments like this, but it’s nice to watch other people.
Grandma and Grandpa look like amazing people. You can also see the happiness and contentment after living all those years. And the food looks amazing, especially all that great bread.

I am not Italian, I’m from the States and one day I want to travel around Europe and especially Italy. The food looks absolutely delicious compared to some of the things we eat here in America and definitely healthier in some respects as well compared to the diet here in the states.

My great grandmother passed when I was 8 I am now 21 and the smell of her breakfast sausage and homemade pound cake still fills my nose every one and a while .Her and my great grandfather were the only grandparents I ever met . Videos like this make me so happy , cherish these moments.

I just found this video and your channel, and since I recently travelled to Italy (Palermo), I decided to watch. Oh my goodness, I was not expecting the emotions..!
I am from Moldova. When I was little and visiting my grandparents, my grandfather also broke the bread apart and put it into his soup in this way. I wanted to do everything like him, so I broke my own bread into little pieces, just like you did, and he would laugh and laugh at me and tell me I didn't need to, I had good teeth! But it's the way he did it, so I wanted to do it the same, too. :) My grandmother would crack up laughing at the two of us.
Now, she has passed, and my grandfather luckily is in great health still. (Knock on wood!) We both miss her terribly. I live in another country and rarely get to see him. Your video made me cry bittersweet, fat tears. Thank you for this video. 💕

I'm from another country, but your cooking is the best.
I'm desperate to be healthy, but I think eating is important. Both of my parents had dementia, so I quit my job and took care of them. Last year, they both passed away after 3 months. It was stressful. My parents passed away, and my body and my heart ached a lot. I got a brain aneurysm on my head and two brain aneurysms. I even had hypothyroidism, so I suddenly gained 15kg. I have to diet. Anxiety disorder Panic disorder I still suffer from insomnia. It's been a year since my parents died, but I'm still in treatment, but it hasn't been long since I started again. I started TH-cam, took a walk, and traveled because I had the courage to share and communicate. Now I want to be healthy. I hope everyone watching this video is healthy. Take care of your health first.

my grandmother passed away in 2017 and my grandfather about two years ago. what i miss most about them besides their physical being, is when we would all cook together. anyone who has the privilege to still has them around please cherish the moments you have with them; i would give a lot to have back in the physical realm. i don't often feel much happiness after they passed but i did smile seeing this video.

Pasta with caramelized onions …. I have never seen or heard of that before but sounds good ….it always cracks me up that old Italian nanny’s and aunts never use cutting boards, always slicing & cutting in their hands … all the food looks incredible …. Reminds me of my Italian aunts kitchen and cooking … always something on the stove for never ending good food …
this is so true! Pasta and caramelised onions is one of my grandpa's fave and it's so quick to make and delicious it feels like you're cheating to get such a good flavour lol Bonus point if you add parmesan cheese when you mix the onions and spaghetti in the pan, so the heat will make everything blend well and crispy 🤌
@@RosaDaniello I stand corrected by myself. I forgot about this. Have not had it yet but it is close to your grand pas favorite. His recipe by Alison Roman is only other time I have seen this. I have lived in Italy and been there many times and have off the boat relatives here in US and they have never made so love it when I find something new. Now going to try it .look up on TH-cam Alison roman caramelized shallots pasta.
Some of the dishes are similar to what we're used to eating in Romania(in Transylvania, at least). Comfort food 101. Gotta try that spaghetti+caramelised onions, what a simple and tasty combo it must be. Your family is amazing. :) Loved this.
