It must be hard for such a woman to be meeting with talented accomplished people at the top of their game every day, knowing she's only where she is because she was born into it.
Kinda ignorant and foolish to say that. The Queen was more badass than most people you have met probably. What she had to out up with, how disciplined she had to be, how much she had to study for certain things etc. I doubt she ever felt less than, just because she was born into a certain family. You see how many failed at what she did...like her uncle. How many people have ruined monarchies because they messed up and did not understand it, or totally lost the sympathy of the people. She knew how to naviagte all of it...nobody is flawless but I would never want to have her position. She never even wanted to be queen but she understood that its her calling and she live dup to it. I am not even british and I can say that.
I'm in awe of Claire Foy here, that whole sequence where she watches the ballerina dance (who her husband is probably cheating on her with) and thinking, what has this woman got that I haven't got? Is it just that she is very pretty, talented and not royal? Does he love her? Prince Phillip at that time was an extremely handsome young man and could (and did) have anyone he wanted. The Queen, however, was a one-man-woman if ever there was one and cheating on him- had she wanted to- would have been extremely difficult. I'm glad that the late Queen and her beloved husband are together once again, both of their duties to their country done honorably and well, and now they can just be together as two souls who love one another. No duty to anyone but themselves.
