true, when i watched the music video i thought the last part is green screen but after the artist uploaded photo of her painting the whole set it's just so amazing!
the problem I've had with all Twice title tracks until now is that the rap part always felt out of place, as if the producers were thinking "welp, gotta add the rappers there somehow" but i was pleasantly surprised seeing that the rap part was extremely nice this time. no changes to the beat or the melody, it all felt natural and i think this song just became my favourite twice song
Oh my god yes!! I particularly felt this with More&More, the rap part (at least for me) sounds like they forgot to add a rap to the song and fixed it last minute, it sounds so out of place!
i love how twice dropped the cutesy vibe they had with their previous songs even in more and more. this song downright screams sophisticated and confident women. not girl crush or badass, but just sophisticated confident women. this is by far their best title track and this album is a masterpiece.
Marcelo Cataldo yeah but these two are japanese title tracks and japan gp are more accepting with whatever concept twice drops. unlike for a korean comeback which is a bigger deal and korean gp aren’t as accepting as jpn. they like bubble gum pop music and the fact that twice shifted their concept to something like this is insane!!
I avoided the last few twice comebacks because they didn’t feel good to me, but this song definitely hit me because it reminds me of an apink song, it’s really good.
@@dakotadelones1099 as a once, i can say with full confidence that this is so much better than more&more. they upped their game for this one and i am so happy
As a casual twice listener I don't know if I can say I like this better than Feel Special. Feel Special is that song for me but this album hits different and I like the direction they're going. I find the evolution of Twice interesting and it feels like they're trying to build longevity. Watching the interview from the vocal coach they hired to all of the writing they're contributing. To me, it feels like they want to be known as artists. I think their future is exciting. I want to see girl groups expand. #respectgirlgroups
@@abbey2001 sure it's this video I watched. She works with A few members of Twice and other groups as well. I think she's from Produce. th-cam.com/video/HFjCnAmdPOY/w-d-xo.html
I was a casual listener of twice, i like how catchy their song is. But then fancy out, i was so surpised they are so good. And when feel special was out, my soul sold. I dont think i can love any other group as much as I love twice.
This song officially dethroned Fancy as TWICE’s strongest title track, it must be said. It sounds like a gen 1/2 song and finally escaped the formula TWICE title tracks have been following till More and More. I wish Jeongyeon and Jihyo sing more in this track since this song was made specifically for their vocal tones. But i would’ve been a liar if i sat there pretending like Nayeon did not show up for BUSINESS in the choruses and the ad libs. Vocally this song has JiJeongNa written all over it
I feel like all their songs do since they’re the only ones that can carry these tracks vocally, that is the vocal line. While I like the tone Chae and Dahyun have, they can’t do it live or consistently and they’re the rap line...Tzuyu has improved a lot but is still not a very strong vocalist and neither is Mina. I don’t think I have to go into Momo’s vocals here ...Sana would be the only other member with a lot of killing parts, etc, but she’s still not seen as a main vocalist or anything. So all of their songs are focused on JiJeongNa’s vocals.
I find this much more significant than “More and More”: this track is haunting and just out there. I can see this becoming the soundtrack for an anti-hero movie! Maybe not as much as a cultural reset as “Fancy” or “Feel special”, but definitively memorable and a good twist to their musical career.
Completely agree, the song isn’t as iconic and impactful as Fancy or Feel Special, but its the Twice sound and concept is what we wanted from them. And the song itself is superior (in my opinion at least)
yeah fancy and feel special had a BIG cultural impact and were remembered as TOP tier songs, while ICSM is a better song for me (i love this song) but Fancy and Feel special impact was rly big. I really hope another cultural reset comes with upcoming twice comebacks.
Omg yes! This would be absolutely perfect as a anti-hero movie soundtrack, now that you've said that i can't get ot out of my head. I really want this now😭
I was in the same boat. It definitely lacks the TWICE Punch you get from a typical comeback from them, but its absolutely a repeatable song you could listen over and over and never get sick of it.
it may not chart well in Korea, but this their best title track after they changed concept or maybe even one of the best since debut. good luck on listening the whole album, it's a roller coaster ride plus the meaning of the lyrics.
ICSM has charted for 25+ weeks on melon It is their fastest MV to reach 300million They got a dasaeng as well. It charted at #72on billboard 200 and also on billboard global 200(excluded US) top 100 for 15weeks they are the second longest charting girl group the first one is blackpink with 22weeks Their both albums that came out this year more&more as well as EWO sold over 500,000 copies All this with barely any promotion Twice had one of the best years
i'm really glad as a fan that Twice isn't afraid of changes and taking risks. They could have just stuck to their old usual style and played safe. but they decided not to and instead chose to grow as artists. even if this song doesn't turn out to be as popular as their old songs, I'll still be happy and repect them evn more for taking this road.
I agree with you! I love all of Twice’s Title Tracks none of them have disappointed me yet, their title tracks are always so catchy! I can’t stop me would be my favorite because it has that 80’s/90’s vibe to it. Twice has come a long way & I can’t wait to see what they have in store for their future!
i love that a lot of groups are trying that kind of synth, retro music style. i think it really compliments twice’s voices, especially jihyo and jeongyeon. i think this is one of my fav title tracks by twice, very impressed by the album as well. nayeon, dahyun, and chaeyoung lyric legends edit: pls ignore the replies from the bts troll, they’re just trying to cause trouble, responding will make it worse fdijfsi
Listen to the urgency in Nayeon's voice. She sings with so much emotion. This is why she is in all 3 choruses and has 75% of the adlibs and high notes. I know people hate to give her credit because of the line distribution but she leads the song for a reason. Nayeon is a vocal goddess and is the main singer of Twice. Even without the official title, we all know it.
yet people complain because *eqUalIty* like ma just shut up, it's all about efficiency and I should tell u that even equality itself is so unfair. you can't have Dahyun or Chaeyoung doing adlib highnotes like Jihyo,
nayeon is the chorus is AMAZING i love her so much. but my gripe always lies w jeongyeon, i just wish she had more lines, especially in a song like this.
@@twicengg1779 lead singer doesn’t mean you sing more 💀 it means you start the song and first chorus, aka leading the track. Lines should be split between main and lead singers…
Twice has such a refined sound these days. Whether someone likes the song or not, it's clear that these girls are imposing their will on the music scene, and not the other way around.
I've always heard about TWICE but i have never gotten into their title tracks as much as im into this one. this is by far their best work. im sure a lot of people wont welcome the change right away but twice are now at the point where their music is maturing and they are trying to target a different audience than their usual. With I Can't Stop Me i think thats gonna work very well for them because they really did manage to capture my attention here.
To be honest, i have never anticipated a twice comeback as much as this. The song is, as you said, enchanting, mesmerising and has a sentimental edge that gives me chills. If you listen to the album, there are huge bops on there, great dance tracks. And you’re right, the music production isn’t as ... monumental as previous title tracks have been produced but it’s my personal favourite by far. And Feel Special is way up there as one of my all time favourite Kpop songs of all time.
This is definitely one of their best tittle track, the entire album is wonderful. i saw a lot of casual listeners streaming and saying they wete obsessed, even the ones that weren't casual listeners were listening to the album and loving it
I've been a fan of Twice for almost 4 years... when they debuted I was just a casual fan, not really paying them much attention. But now, years and albums later, I think they have grown beautifully in the musical style. I've seen people say that they changed, that fancy was more girl crush and things, but in my opinion, they have just grown with their music. They are in their 5th year, and their albums have been reflecting that. They are no longer teenagers, they are young adults, and their music has evolved with them. When I listen to the older albums and the recent ones, I can see how they have slowly grown within it. I don't feel they have changed their sound, I listen to this, and I can still pretty much hear the twice print... but now is just more mature(? I don't know how to explain it really well. And maybe not everyone will like it, but it feels great to hear how much they have matured in a sense. And about the change in the mv production, we were requesting that for a long time, they were several things during the past years, and this year they finally did it. Hopefully, it will only get even better from now on.
Agree 100% with what you said! I'm just a casual listener when it comes to twice but i totally see that beautiful grow they have both musically and physically! Congratulations to twice!
Change is good in my book. I'm also a casual listener of Twice and now i just might become a fan because of their maturity. I tried but i just couldn't get into cute Twice.
For a group of their caliber, this album is a fitting one, and a masterpiece at that. Their vocals have evolved along with these mature, experimental sounds they’ve done. Personally, this is their best work 👑
TWICE is literally embedded from my postgraduate years to today. I've been a casual listener at debut, love a few title tracks here and there, and became an official ONCE by the start of 2019. They grow with their music, and I hope they continue to surprise us.
I love how mature Twice’s sound is getting. I love a good retro sound, but this was just a good song for me. It feels like a b-side. It’s catchy and interesting in every aspect, but any one of their b-sides on the album easily could have taken this songs place. I want to get a better understanding of why they chose this song to be the title track. I hope Twice continues to push in this mature direction, and make that sound their own. Just like they did the cutesy musical concepts and the dance track concepts.
I feel like this is a main track. I know how it sounds if its a bside or a main track, b sides is often just b sides, ICSM had a lot of song phases and part change
Twice have shown each comeback a growth, an evolution, as I have never seen in any other group. This comeback skipped the cliché dance tracks and created something more dense and fuller. Without a doubt this is one of the best comeback of the year!
I agree!! I love watching groups evolve and not succumb to the typical formula of girl groups. But, then again, Twice really didn’t follow the typical vibe of girl groups of their generation anyway.
Honestly one of their best songs, I used to not like Twice that much in their early years like I listened to their title tracks but it was just not my type of sound. When Fancy got out it was like okay I like this so I decided to listen to the full album and loved it, then Feel special came out and I knew it was definitely the moment to turn into a full stan and it was worth it cause every song they put out just keeps getting better and better, as well as their albums. So I definitely like that they are changing their style, like I said it used to not be my cup of tea but now I find myself waiting for their comebacks.
i honestly love the change from cutie kpop to a more bloomed mature women with a little bit of sexiness. update: ive been a fan since their OOH AHH era and to see their journey makes me emotional HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TWICE!!!
MOST ONCEs don't know this but Dahyun has 2 Rare Talents The ability to spot probably any camera and having Perfect Pitch meaning she recognizes and knows every musical note by hearing it only once. Meaning that she can most likely play any song even if she has never heard of it before. This Perfect Pitch talent is extremely rare to find in most people approximately 1 in 10,000 or more
she's also an immaculate song writer. she has a very impressive, natural sense for writing hooks, and her word play is brilliant. and i mean she can play the piano expertley, and a few other instruments on top of that. she, in my opinion, is the most impressive twice member in general.
Big fan of this comeback, the choreography is one of their most challenging and best yet. The song compliments everyone's vocals (the background belts at the end) and people are hating on the MV saying it's confusing and doesn't make sense but after seeing the lyrics I think there's a lot more meaning behind it. Always great to see your reactions and great to have you back PD (you're input on the MVs and outlook has made me a patron) Much Love
not entirely sure about this but the train scenes most especially gives me chills. it's like people are saying they're nearing the end of their tracks, but as the title said, no one can* stop them.
@@repliesthendisappears2982 Personally, I think it's about the next step or something new things that Twice gonna do even it's risky or dangerous. Because they just can't stop themselves!
I think this is a very new concept, like Twice definitely caught a lot of people off guard with this I guess. I love it, the retro vibe is something that I like, and it works so well here💖
@@everglowot6179 yes, I actually wanted to point that out. For me, I think this is something new for Twice, but because I heard it from La Di Da, I don't get that much of an impression on my part. Nonetheless, both songs are good and I would like to play both songs on loop!
@@apples1bananas. i like 99% agree, for me there's one skip but considering this is a full-length album that's still incredible. even my favourite artists usually have more skips than that on an album! i wouldn't say this is their "best album" because taste is subjective, but this one definitely caters more to my tastes more than any other they've put out so far lol (not to say i don't like their brighter stuff though; girls like us, strawberry, and rollin' for example are some of my all time favourites!)
I have a feeling this will be a trilogy, MORE&MORE was the first part, this was the second and we will have the last comeback wrapping the story up, and I'm pretty excited.
@Majesty Twice i really hope they don’t do that bec this comeback is just too great! fans, critics, and even casual listeners alike all acclaim this song and their whole album to be one of twice’s best and i want them to milk this off as much as they can and linger in the success of icsm 😔
@Majesty Twice open fake and true mv, in dahyun's scenes they spoiled trilogy : 1. the adam and eve in eden (more n more) 2. the desert (i can't stop me) 3. winter and aurora (????) Surely a winter comeback!
Something I noticed in the mv is that the red line parts the “good” and “evil” side of them - which I also thinks the different colored contacts that Chaeyoung are wearing represents. And some of the members are crossing the red line at some point. You can see one hand slowly crossing the line and Jihyo sitting on the line (or between the good and the evil) But overall I think this is their best song yet. I love seeing them try out new and mature concepts, because I know some of the members really wanted to try these kind of concepts.
Also the camera work where it swings between left and right / good and evil - so good! And the train that signifies 'I can see the end but I can't stop it' - I just love love love this video! (Maybe except the giant red lotus flower lol) If anything I'm glad the fake cheetahs are gone xD
I love the direction they are heading to. As someone that got into listening to TWICE during Feel Special and really enjoying Fancy, I enjoy their later songs than their 'cutesy' earlier songs. Also note that i wasnt into Kpop until hearing Feel Special.
well well look who it is. I also became a new Fan of Feel Special era. their cute concept blocked me out from liking them but not until Feel Special which has a special place in my heart, so meaningful
I really liked the song actually. I definitely fall into that second category you're talking about, mainly just listening to title tracks. But I like this breakaway to a more mature sound, showing off their vocals, and this video helps reflect all that too!
I always enjoyed listening to Twice music but I've mostly only liked the title tracks from their albums, but this time I'm in loooove with their whole album! so good!! I definitely love more the mature sound for Twice!
i'm a once so i'm biased, but i actually think this is one of their best title tracks ever. i liked more & more a lot, but i somehow like this even better. i think this song and mv shows their growth and maturity as artists. they can still be cute of course, and maturity doesn't have to mean being sexy. but like you said, this screams that they are women now, not girls. and idk how people think this isn't catchy. maybe not in a traditionally kpop way, but the chorus and the "ooo ooo ooo" (lol) part have been stuck in my head since i heard it. the choreo is really nice too. also i appreciate the continuation of the storyline from more & more. where more & more was dipping their toes into things that were "forbidden" and wanting more, this is them not being able to stop themselves once they were exposed to the world through eating the forbidden fruit. anyway, i'm very pleased with this comeback and their second full album. it's full of amazing b-sides and i'm really proud to be a once. :)
I am a casual Twice listener. I must say, this comeback is AMAZING. This song is amazing. The album contains more of amazing songs. I really like this direction. It's very mature, classy side of Twice and I enjoy it a lot. Never thought I would like Twice comeback so much.
I'm still so amazed by this comeback. The title track and the whole album are such a huge step-up in terms of lyricism and meaning. The lyrics for I can't stop me really hit close to home. Not mentioning the fact that the girls are more and more involved in their music which I absolutely love ! The more time passes, the more they improve in everything while managing to keep that "Twice touch" and that's awesome. In conclusion, I thought they could never top the absolute masterpiece that was the Feel Special album, but Eyes Wide Open is hands down my favorite Twice comeback ever !
the adlib in the back of the second chorus during “red red red line” is GORGEOUS and then the background vocals just cutting through at the end of the song were beautiful and so so tastefully done like wow it’s probably my favorite part of the song . Twice really did that this comeback, it’s incredible
I said this under everyone's reaction video, but everyone needs to see this. Twice is on another level. I'm sorry but their vocals are through the roof and man the choreo is sick. That body roll they did like woah. Spiderman pose they got it all. Momo is dancing for her life at the end. The video is amazing. They are all so pretty. Like damn every comeback I'm like ehh they can't be better than last time yet here I am with mouth wide open.
The concept, maturity and soundscape reminds me a lot of breakthrough. (my favourite twice song) The major difference being like you said that there is no typical twice prechorus build up. Instead it has a pretty constant momentum that just keeps driving forward. This i feel fits thematically with the concept of them being like an unstoppable train. "can't stop me" indeed.
I usually do not care for Twice title songs, except TT (i LOVE TT) but this one blew me away! As soon as it started it reminded me of Days of Thunder by The Midnight. The best GG song of this year for me so far, stuck in my head since I heard it. super excited about their music in the future.
this has to be by far my favorite TT from them...if not top then top 3 but WHEW...I really think they outdid themselves with this one. in terms of choreo, musicality, and visuals - i loved it!
I see many people saying there's something missing from the song- but for me I think it's perfect... with that 80s synth pop genre we get a newer sound from twice it sounds refreshing, plus it makes the instrumental a bit minimalist(?) like the problem I have with most of Twice title tracks is that it suits more to be a song that is better to be seen performed, than to be heard in a daily using earphones, but with icsm, while listening with earphones my head just focuses on the somewhat minimalist instrumental + the verses vocals are actually pretty chill, that it's passable as an "earphone/listening song", but then you have the powerful vocals in the chorus that hypes you up, and with the complement of the choreography, it also makes a perfect song to see being performed.
I’m a more casual twice listener, and I really loved it! There’s been this 80’s vibe in my favorite releases of the last few months, so it feels very on-trend.
Tbh it kinda sounds like the type of song JYP would write originally intended for himself to sing more than than the other stuff he’s written for twice.
Sad this song isn’t doing well in the charts in Korea. No one cares about idol’s music, what they care about is fantasy fulfillment. And this is what separates musicians/singers/bands from Koop idol groups. Doesn’t matter what music you produce, if you fans don’t get off of you anymore, your career will end. This is definitely my fav Twice song and Twice has been not as popular as before especially after they had an image change and started dating. They produce better varied music now but who cares. Their fans will fantasize about new younger girl groups.
I don't understand the wish fulfillment though. If you're talking about the music about being cutesy it's not about that, I mean even though their past song are cutesy still they're meaningful and have a stories not just blabla lyrics.
@@chillax9184 It's the lyrics. In their lyrics, they almost always address a romantic partner. The wish fulfillment is when men in real life imagine themselves with the girls when listening to their songs. JYP is rly big on that. Their boy groups do it too.
@@chillax9184 it’s the entire kpop industry, it’s not Twice. Gfriend was like this too, their popularity tanked when they switched concepts. Twice is already in big trouble because they started dating, and now with concept change people will just move on to other groups. Even boy groups like BTS will have career ending crisis if they have a girlfriend. Kpop idols aren’t free artists. Their fans don’t care about their music. They only care about if they can be single and continue to sell them their dreams of romanticizing with their idol. If they are caught dating the fans will criticize them for being irresponsible. This is the part of the kpop fandom that I’ll never understand.
@@leabradford6590 Majority of kpop sell this kind of concept though, even if it’s not in their lyrics. Fan service etc is how they keep their fans interested. I think only those that aren’t typically attractive don’t sell this concept but then the people who like them didn’t like them for their looks anyways (like Psy or 2NE1 etc). BTS has non romantic songs but the group is still sells this dream concept. Their fandom is crazy protective of them. I’ve seen them argue/clarify if BTS members got close with another girl idol in the same event or something. Every girl group’s fans have to tiptoe around BTS fans just to clarify that their idols aren’t attracted so the Armys won’t attack the girls. Crazy stuff.
This song was my fav Twice song. I love the more mature side for them and the fact that you can listen their voices better not only the high pitch they normally sing in their tracks.
I’ve been watching PD for sometime now. I remember the first video I came across from him was his take on “What Is Love?” One thing I noticed is that he’ll say that this is the most different TWICE song in some way or form. This started with Yes or Yes and he has repeated this statement with each new comeback. I like this because it really shows how far Twice has evolved as group but also in terms of music. I also agree with what he said about how this song screams “confident woman” because up until More & More, a lot of Twice’s old songs had a certain theme of a young girl’s feelings. From wanting the attention of their crush by sending signals, to wanting to experience love for themselves. This song is along with More & More really solidifies how much Twice has “matured” both in cinematography and in their music.
I’ve always been a casual K-Pop listener. I’m also one of the biggest Carly Rae Jepsen fans on the planet. So this year, Everglow, Mamamoo, and now Twice have REALLY pulled me into K-Pop more seriously. I’m really loving the retro synth vibes these girls are giving and I hope they keep coming!!
i’m a casual fan and was honestly disappointed by more and more and i can’t stop me blew me away i love it so much, also i had never listened to their bsides before but i checked out this whole albums and it’s soooo good
i’m a once and i dont want to admit this but i was a bit disappointed with m&m! icsm tho is-*chef’s kiss*-just THE best! if you want some recommendations for their b-sides, just tell me! hehe i would love to share which songs imo are standouts because it can be overwhelming to non-onces to navigate thru their GIGANTIC discography so yeah 😅
I think this is definitely an attempt to cash-in on how 80s styles/synths are popular at the moment (The Weeknd - Blinding Lights, alot of Dua Lipa's recent songs), and I dont think that is a bad thing if they are looking to perhaps get more play main-stream. I feel like Dynamite for BTS was also a step in that kind of direction as well for K-Pop. I know I say "cash-in" above, but I also really rate the song (as I too am into that 80s vibe at the moment) and I think it still feels TWICE, but definitely is a change to the more mature. And I think TWICE can make it work for them. Their audience has grown with them - and if they were making music for the 16/18 year olds 5 years ago, those audience members will also be getting into adulthood - and theres nothing wrong with more strong female voices with messages about going out there and claiming what you want. I've listened through the album once, and I certainly hear a more mature sound (I might liken it to how Ariana Grande moved away from her Disney roots and has ended up as the complete artist she is now and how the subject matter has changed). Its less about the 'What is Love' ideal of what love feels like, and is now the more raw feeling of what lust/real love is and how that can affect how you make decisions. I'm excited to hear more.
The B-sides are worth checking out the whole album is such a bop, the songs are high high quality, and you will love them, I personally really enjoyed this song but Queen, go hard and behind the mask hit different for me, so so nice you have to check out the whole album eyes wide open
Yeah, sad that Everglow didn't get one win for their LA Di Da comeback but BP did with Lovesick Girls, which was meh. Not a fan of badass or gurl crush concept, but Everglow's song was better.
@@jacquesmesrine3244 lovesick girls deserves a win as well. It's just that everglow competed with such a big girl group plus popularity is also a criteria.
As a casual Twice listener, I was expecting something like their old title tracks, I was not expecting something like this. I love this, this mature vibe is something I think they’ve done before but I didn’t really vibe with it. This one, wow. Now this hits different. Tbh I never really used to notice Nayeon that much, but I noticed her a lot here. If I were to stan Twice, I think she would be my bias or bias wrecker.
when i first heard icsm, i already imagined that we would agree on the fact that it's very different from previous title tracks and a distinct change of pace in terms of their twice branding
The whole flower overlay/collage section is basically the cinematographer showing off their color theory skill. "This analagous triad works well, and this complementary triad works well, and so does this tetrad. Wow look at good I am at this shit! And the entire time, the girls are wearing yellow." I was very impressed.
as a casual fan, i reaaally liked the song, more than i expected actually, definitely a more mature concept, as for the video, it is very pretty but did not find anything special in it, but in general loving the slow but steady changes
I love the direction their music it’s going. I love the new productions and it’s showing that they are in fact grown women and are maturing. I’ve been loving the synth and disco vibes of kpop lately so I’m excited to see what’s next!
This is by far my favorite twice song. Often times, there would be certain parts of their songs that I would kinda dislike, but everything about this song is just immaculate. I'm totally glad they took the risk to produce this type of music.
I've been a ONCE for 3 years now and I must say, I really love this change in the music and productions. I have noticed a lot of people not liking the change in direction but for me, I really loved it. Regardless of me being a fan, this is a masterpiece. Definitely one of the best title tracks of twice! The rap part is one of my fave twice rap, but I wished it was a bit longer and I wished Chaeyoung had more rap lines. The chorus is very catchy as well and the high notes just throw s you off guard every single time. I really loved the intro as well, the vibe of it caught my attention immediately. I really loved ICSM overall. There's even a high chance of this being my new fave title track but let's see 👀 No matter what, I will support TWICE all the way. Everything in the mv is truly a work of art (and I also agree with that drum part that PD mentioned). been waiting for this reaction video. More power to you, PD. Stay safe!
As someone that's been a casual fan for a long af time this is the song that's brought me into Twice more. I absolutely love this song. Tbh I usually only really listen to their title tracks etc but this one made me pause and check out the full album. Which is also really damn great. Personally I love way they have been going lately, their last few comebacks have been absolute faves of mine.
I'm a Once, and this comeback acc to me was really good. I agree with you that it doesn't have the classic build up to the a splashy chorus. It took a really different path and I quiet enjoy it. I think they are really focusing on the choreo in the past few comebacks and I love that. Their dances and the choreo have gotten difficult but so much more visually appealing. I love how jeongyeon and jihyo vocals fit this song so well. Unrelated to the video- I love your videos pd. Keep doing them. Also when you do feel comfortable, please give us an update on your mental health, if you want to that is. We really love and the content you make.
Hands down, their best title track and probably their best album yet too. It’s a new sound, new style, both visually and musically. They are growing up in front of us and showing it the best way possible.
First off, love you PD. Keep on keeping on! So I’m absolutely a casual Twice fan. I listen to title tracks but nothing has really hooked me and made me go, okay I’m in. This did it. This is going to make me check out more Twice. I loved it. The sound hit me so hard, the visuals were on point, and I immediately put this in my to top tracks of the year playlist. Color me biased, but I’m a sucker for 80’s influences and this song hit me over the head with Phil Collins vibes. The Risky Business poster flashed across my mind, maybe inspired by the subway set. This song is great. Whoever is injecting the 80’s sound into this wave of kpop, thank you.
The Cinematography and camera work + story in CIX's new comeback JUNGLE is absolutley INSANE and i think you would have so so so much fun doing a kulture study for it :D also TWICE slays as always.
I love every Twice comeback!!! this is one of my top cb of this year. if this is not a tipycal top Twice cb, i hope we'll receive a new comeback real soon!!! 🔥🔥🔥
this might be the first twice song htat hooked me right away. not cliche bubblgum pop peppy that i am used to for twice. this was enchanting and mesmorizing.
It seems that a lot of K-Pop artists are starting to use the Retro 80's sound in their music. Everglow with La Di Da & now Twice with I Can' Stop Me. It's something I like because it seems like Older music sounds better, & I'm an old soul.

the problem I've had with all Twice title tracks until now is that the rap part always felt out of place, as if the producers were thinking "welp, gotta add the rappers there somehow"
but i was pleasantly surprised seeing that the rap part was extremely nice this time. no changes to the beat or the melody, it all felt natural and i think this song just became my favourite twice song
Oh my god yes!! I particularly felt this with More&More, the rap part (at least for me) sounds like they forgot to add a rap to the song and fixed it last minute, it sounds so out of place!
In my opinion, the rap continues out of place... I don't know... It breaks the song and change the vibe... But the song is amazing.

yep, periodt.
Although I loved their cute songs. I also really enjoy the change💕 Ik they’ve also wanted to step out from doing cute songs for so long :D
They also did it in Breakthrough and Fake & True.
The album is fantastic. Hell in Heaven is my favorite but all the songs are so cool. They even dip into City Pop in one of this songs
They are pushing the line beyond the saturated kpop industry against all odds. This is a matured sophisticated sound, and its fantastic.

If you listen to the album, there are huge bops on there, great dance tracks. And you’re right, the music production isn’t as ... monumental as previous title tracks have been produced but it’s my personal favourite by far.

JYP changed their Prod Company so everything is different, even the wardrobe is very good compared when they have only 2 sets of wardrobe.
can't thank JYP enough for this song like honestly Momo's rap is a blessing and finaly jeongyeon getting the 3rd chorus back
I love how mature Twice’s sound is getting.

Something I noticed in the mv is that the red line parts the “good” and “evil” side of them - which I also thinks the different colored contacts that Chaeyoung are wearing represents. And some of the members are crossing the red line at some point. You can see one hand slowly crossing the line and Jihyo sitting on the line (or between the good and the evil)
But overall I think this is their best song yet. I love seeing them try out new and mature concepts, because I know some of the members really wanted to try these kind of concepts.

i'm a once so i'm biased, but i actually think this is one of their best title tracks ever. i liked more & more a lot, but i somehow like this even better. i think this song and mv shows their growth and maturity as artists. they can still be cute of course, and maturity doesn't have to mean being sexy. but like you said, this screams that they are women now, not girls. and idk how people think this isn't catchy. maybe not in a traditionally kpop way, but the chorus and the "ooo ooo ooo" (lol) part have been stuck in my head since i heard it. the choreo is really nice too. also i appreciate the continuation of the storyline from more & more. where more & more was dipping their toes into things that were "forbidden" and wanting more, this is them not being able to stop themselves once they were exposed to the world through eating the forbidden fruit. anyway, i'm very pleased with this comeback and their second full album. it's full of amazing b-sides and i'm really proud to be a once. :)

I usually do not care for Twice title songs, except TT (i LOVE TT) but this one blew me away! As soon as it started it reminded me of Days of Thunder by The Midnight. The best GG song of this year for me so far, stuck in my head since I heard it. super excited about their music in the future.
this definitely would of been just a b-side maybe a year ago that everyone would love, so happy its a title track !
this has to be by far my favorite TT from them...if not top then top 3 but WHEW...I really think they outdid themselves with this one. in terms of choreo, musicality, and visuals - i loved it!
This song is a grower. Didn’t know what to feel at the first listen. But now I feel like the melody is really catchy!
I’m a more casual twice listener, and I really loved it! There’s been this 80’s vibe in my favorite releases of the last few months, so it feels very on-trend.
Tbh it kinda sounds like the type of song JYP would write originally intended for himself to sing more than than the other stuff he’s written for twice.
as a fan of Wonder girl n Sunmi, the 80's pop vibe in this song is really up to my taste~!
Yah, my main criticism until now was that Twice catered too much to wish-fulfillment. Nice to see a departure from that!
The whole album is just mind-blowing! GO HARD and Hell to heaven are chef's kiss 🔥
I am so proud the members did write some lyrics!!!! The evolution and development from perfomers to complete artists
Absolutely in love with their new concept. The MV and the song are just perfect. Thank you for your reaction PD!
I think something is coming after this. It feels like there's something more, I don't know. But I love it! The vocals were insane!
yeah the ending scene clearly hints to something else being released in the future
damn i felt the same
Yea, i agree with that
im hoping for a repackage, like they did with twicetagram!!
trilogy here we come
I’ve always been a casual K-Pop listener.
This song has such a Jpop vibe imo. The intro sounds like an anime opening.
i thought so too. i can see it being used in a magical girl anime n i love it
It sounds like something I would hear in Initial D, lol.
Actually it sounds like retro Hongkong music
For me its sounds like a Chinese music
it sounds like a retro korean band

released 1982
This reminds me so much of the early 90s japanese anime ost, especially the chorus. And i love it!!
never clicked so fast!!
same i jumped
Yeah, I was expecting this to drop a day later but damn.
Honestly in my opinion might be my favorite girl group song ever and I’ve been listening to Kpop since 2012 when I was 10 breh
They also don’t have Momo singing, her higher tone is what to me adds that cute factor that’s in a lot of kpop
And many of the other songs on the album have members using their lower register which adds to the overall maturity.
oHHH that's a great point, omg
@@TalkingAboutYooh yes! this time jihyo’s voice shines differently & I’m loving it
The B-sides are worth checking out the whole album is such a bop, the songs are high high quality, and you will love them, I personally really enjoyed this song but Queen, go hard and behind the mask hit different for me, so so nice you have to check out the whole album eyes wide open
Girl Group wise.
TWICE and EVERGLOW slayed the retro style concept.
Ladida and Icsm are my top 2 this year.
@@marloignalig4137 wannabe isn't a retro song but it's really good
@@Oday-oo3om Wannabe is in my top 10.
And the entire time, the girls are wearing yellow."
I was very impressed.
as a casual fan, i reaaally liked the song, more than i expected actually, definitely a more mature concept, as for the video, it is very pretty but did not find anything special in it, but in general loving the slow but steady changes
I love the direction their music it’s going. I love the new productions and it’s showing that they are in fact grown women and are maturing. I’ve been loving the synth and disco vibes of kpop lately so I’m excited to see what’s next!
Omg I was just thinking about PDs reaction to this and it dropped at the same second 😱!!
The last set actually reminds me of a Red Velvet’s ‘Bad Boy’ set but more colorful
Yes same for me too. Also, the subway scenes reminds me of black pink's as if it's your last lol
This is by far my favorite twice song. Often times, there would be certain parts of their songs that I would kinda dislike, but everything about this song is just immaculate. I'm totally glad they took the risk to produce this type of music.
This is why twice is the number 1 girl group
THIS IS THE ONLY REACTION VIDEO I’VE WAITED FOR!! :))
The only one that matters am i right
Ken Ji ken right! if pd said it’s a good song, then it’s a good song! ㅋㅋㅋ
I really love I can't stop me, it's very dramatic for me, it shows their maturity and how they turning their music into a new concept/ genre
I really enjoyed this comeback! And the whole album too, so many great B-sides! Honestly as I ONCE I couldn’t be happier with how TWICE is evolving
in terms of musicality this is the best twice song
PD. Totally agree with you, ugh this song is just so good. Hope you are doing better, and glad to see your face. Hope your week goes well.
im a casual fan and this is my favorite twice song ever
Best
Period
Hi again. I agree.
I saw your comment here then on a cat painting video :___)
It's my favorite title track, i'm in love 😭♥️
best song from twice ,period
Hands down, their best title track and probably their best album yet too. It’s a new sound, new style, both visually and musically. They are growing up in front of us and showing it the best way possible.
please do a listening party to their album! i swear it’s a no skip one!!
i love it. the new style is so amazing
We need a listening party who's with me? All songs are bops
I saw Twice perform this song on A Late Show and got hooked. This more mature approach is what I needed to see Twice grow into.
