    Sorry for the lack of videos guys but I've been working on some awesome builds for the new upcoming series and have so many new build tutorials on the way, including a new church and castle which are one of my favourite builds I've ever done and can't wait to show you all what I've been working on. What video do you want to see next ? =)

    Personally, I prefer to use Coarse dirt and path blocks for paths rather than stone. It’s more colourful and I like to only use stone in certain areas to show wealth.

      Yeah I used deepslate to start off with. It's just too Urgh and cobblestone is too 2007. Honestly dirt mixed with stripped log might work... Urgh roads are my least favourite

    • @VaryaEQ
      @VaryaEQ ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I like the sound of gravel when you walk on it, which is why I've previously made all my paths out of that. Feeling torn now, because these look so good. 😅

  • @runo4155
    @runo4155 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +30

    For most towns, think in terms of wealth as well. Important buildings (banks, castles, churches, etc) are going to be bigger/more protected/slightly separated) in terms of footprint AND in terms of nearby houses. The wealthy pay for comfort and convenience
    Edit: this goes for roads too. Wealthier places have nicer roads (stone for example) while poorer places have worse roads (like dirt/mud)

    Something I do in my cities is make a to-do list with all the types of buildings I want to make. It helps me both with world building and stylistic choices. Plus, it’s so nice to check off boxes when you finally finish something! I also like to leave detailing until last because it’s my favorite part (like adding highlights to drawings). I really like seeing everything come together at the end.

    I've been wanting to start a new island town project of my own. I found a great seed online that spawns me on a 400 x 400 block island that would work great for an island town. Recently I've been driving myself crazy just thinking about how I even lay out this town because I want the buildings more spread out and on different terrain levels as you mentioned. I'm playing on a single-player world and want to include villagers and don't want them lagging my game. So this was very very helpful with helping me make these decisions. This usually happens when I don't really have a plan and I just build, but having two buildings separated by some pretty but not over the top focal piece, like stairs or alleyway, makes the build much more interesting to be in after its been built. Just my opinion. Great tips from this video.

    i actually like building small villages, and instead of planning the village itself, and then scale the landshaft for that plan, i dont change landshaft at all. i build the village, trying to fit for the landshaft, and it turns out pretty well, and most importantly, realistic.

    I must say your channel was the best to improve my skills for example i build the Tavern from your channel, i thought at first "nah...i just build it and it's done" but i never expect that i learn more about, detailing, how to use and choose the Space of the House and specially the Rooms how i prevent to have just a flat area with so much unused space, or even basic layouts, and so much more and the fact i build it in survival i also know that i hate it to run for materials like concrete, right know with all these lessons i rebuild my Survival base and i see the struggle between, how did i make it look good and how did my make it survival friendly and when i compare it to the tavern i have not so much small spaces i design it a little bit chunky but im proud that I'm able to use all the skills, i must say when i hear something like "oh when u just copy a build u dont learn something" well..i must say it's totally wong, thank u for your whole Work on this channel

    I could live in this town. I've watched nerds videos on repeat, and I always spot new things. I love Sir BlueNerds builds.
