Peruvian here. Chirimoyas are the sweetest fruit ever. Yours wasn’t ripe enough to eat. Also, nobody eats the seeds, but I had no idea they were poisonous
I think since Rhett and Link have eaten so much various and bizarre stuff, they should do an episode where they get their gut microbiomes checked and see if they have healthier than normal stomachs lol
As a New Zealander. We also have feijoas, either you have a feijoa tree or your neighbour does but EVERYONE has a bag full of feijoas that they possibly can’t get through when it’s feijoa season. They don’t taste like cleaner, I swear. The larger ones are sweeter.

Exotic is contextual. Where I live you'll see prarie dogs running all over the place, in parks etc. But are exotic enough in other regions that they have them in zoos lol
@@rayofsunshine892 it shouldn't be sour, although there are a lot of varieties so I guess some might be more tart. It's usually mildly sweet and quite floral tasting.
Just came to say that this summer charity from GMM is awesome. Already at $20K! Really cool to see creators give and encourage others to do the same. Hoping Link wins something for his charity soon. 😅
Justice for cherimoya! A tree grew in the front yard of the house where I would spend my summers in Ecuador. Easily one of the best fruits I've ever had, the texture is tender and slightly chewy, like a cross between a banana and a mango.
I’m sorry Cherimoya, or “sugar apple” as we call it in the Caribbean is very delicious and has a significant amount of flavor. I’m afraid you guys didn’t get a ripe one. Would it be possible for you guys to try it again when it’s riper and see how you like it?
That cherimoya was most definitly not ripe. I had them before a few times and normally they are very mushy and taste so so sweet with a bubblegum like flavour.
The tamarillo looks a lot like a little eggplant, and apparently it actually is from the same family as potatoes, tomatoes and eggplants. And the longan is related to lychee.
The inside of the longan even looks similar to the lychee, kinda surprised they didn't even mention that. From what I recall they even taste somewhat similar.
the boys have done a lot of soda related episodes, but they've yet (to my knowledge) to do a blind soda taste test. I myself wonder if they can decipher what soda is what by taste alone. Hopefully they do it in the future!
I haven't seen the other episodes from the contest of charities, so seeing Rhett at 20k and link at 0 was so funny

That cherimoya def wasnt ripe. Mark Twain described them as one of the most delicious fruits ever.

Why are they always served under ripe fruits and then have Rhett and Link eat the fruits in ways the fruits are never eaten or served?!?!?

Any fruit is considered exotic if it is not commonly found in markets in other locations or not grown in many areas.
