A recruitment film of the British Royal Observer Corps. The ROC during the Cold War was an all volunteer organisation, who's responsibility was to plot bombs and determine patterns of radioactive fall-out if war between NATO and the Warsaw Pact broke out.

This has Ian McCullough from the BBC 1975 to 1977 (Terry Nations) Survivors. Plusthe Big Finish produced original audiodramas of Survivors. This is fantastic.

Was this ever broadcast on itv? I have a vague recollection of seeing something like this around lunchtimes before (or maybe after) Rainbow came on 🧐

Yes, I remember it being broadcast fairly regularly in the late 70s, at least in N. Ireland. The broadcast version ended at 2:34. I don't remember the exact channel. Probably ITV.

I bet a lot of the ROC members were often involved in community affairs, this was an extension of this.
